Wudang District Wudang district belongs to Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, located in the middle of Guizhou Province, is located in the northeast of Guiyang city. It borders Longli County in the East, Yunyan District and Nanming District in the south, Baiyun District in the west, Kaiyang County and Xiuwen County in the north. The total administrative area is 686 square kilometers.
Wudang district is one of the urban groups of Guiyang City, and is one of the first batch of economically strong districts (counties) in Guizhou Province. By 2020, Wudang District has five streets, six towns and two ethnic townships. There are Guiyang Royal hot spring, poly international hot spring, quantianxia International Club, xiangzhigou, xiangsihe and other tourist attractions.

The spring and Autumn period belongs to the state of Ke.

In 1687, Guizhou Wei and Qianwei were changed to Guizhu County, with jurisdiction of 17 Li.
In 1912, Guizhu county was incorporated into Guiyang Prefecture. In 1914, it was changed to Guiyang County. In the thirtieth year of the Republic of China (1941), the executive yuan of the national government approved the establishment of Guiyang city on April 20, and Guiyang municipal government was established on July 1. At the same time, Guiyang County was abolished, and Guizhu county was located outside the urban area of Guiyang. On September 3, the Executive Yuan approved the relocation of Guizhu county to Huaxi. On January 20, 1942, Guizhu county government moved to Huaxi to work.
After the liberation of Guiyang city and Guizhu County on November 15, 1949, the people's Government of Guizhu county was established on November 24.
From May to October 1950, the people's Government of Guizhu County divided the north into five district offices. As the agency, the paddy field district was transferred to Wudang District (the seventh district), paddy field district (the eighth District) and Yangchang district (the ninth district).
In April 1955, Guizhu county was divided into Huaxi, Jinhua, Wudang and zhongcao districts under the jurisdiction of Guiyang City, and District People's committees were established respectively.
On July 18, 1956, the suburban office of Guiyang city and the five district offices of Qianling, Jinhua, Huaxi, Wudang and zhongcao in the suburbs were abolished, and the suburban people's Committee was established.
On February 24, 1958, Guiyang Municipal People's Committee took over the former Guizhu County, and divided the suburbs into Wudang and Huaxi districts. In principle, the original boundary on both sides of Guizhou Yunnan highway and Guizhou Guangxi highway is taken as the boundary, and the area to the north of the highway is Wudang district.
On April 21, 1958, Dongshan, Qianling Township and she of Wudang district were classified as Yunyan District.
In August 1966, Huaxi District and Wudang District merged into the suburbs of Guiyang city.
