Historical evolution
The origin of place names
Because it is located in the south of Ning (consolidation Committee), it is called "Ningnan".
History of construction
In the history of Ningnan system, an ancient passage connecting Sichuan and Yunnan was inhabited by human beings as early as 5000 or 6000 years ago.
Since the establishment of Yueyi County in the sixth year of Yuanding (111 BC) by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, there were 15 counties, including Huiwu County, Beishui County, Sanjiang County and qiongdu county. After that, the establishment of all dynasties changed with the change of Huili.
In the 49th year of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty (1710), a thousand households were set up and granted seals, which is a hereditary system. In 1727, tuqianhu luyuzhen committed a crime and was seized the seal letter. The next year, the officers and soldiers stationed in Shasha and set up shashaxun, which was subordinate to Yongding camp. They set up a thousand general officers, built a flood control office and built a city wall with a circumference of two and a half Li. In the first year of Jiaqing (1796), 1000 households were resettled. In 1907, a thousand families of Lu Shaowu (also known as Lu Chunzu) died of illness and had no heirs. His wife, concubines, family members and relatives fought for the throne on a large scale. In 1910, after being investigated by Ningyuan Prefecture and Huili Prefecture, Lu Zhenxiang, who was the leader of "fighting", was sentenced to 20 years' imprisonment. He also reported to Zhao Erfeng, the governor of Sichuan Province, to the imperial court for approval. Five chieftains, namely, Pisha, kuzhu, zhebao, Tong'an and Huili village, were all forced to "change the land to flow.". The Qing government pointed out in the approval that "only the sandy land is connected to the border of Yunnan, and it is a large area of Donglu in the prefecture. The ground is a little wide, and the residents are numerous. Therefore, it is appropriate for members to set up a government to support the reason.". Then, the Huili prefecture government appointed Li Xu as a member of the establishment and Governance Committee (also known as the Executive Committee) to establish "Huili Prefecture's sub Prefecture".
On April 1, 1913, Huili changed the prefecture into a county. After that, the Prefecture was divided into three sub counties, namely, Pisha, Wawu and Miyi, and the name of the committee was changed to xianzuo. In 1928, the government set up the Pisha Administration Bureau, and fan Kai was appointed as its member, also known as the director. In 1930, Ningnan County was transferred to Sichuan Provincial Department of civil affairs by Ningzhi reorganization committee and reported to the executive yuan of the government of the Republic of China for approval. On New Year's day in 1931, the superior government sent a Commissioner to send the county seal to Ningnan and held a "celebration meeting for the establishment of the county". After the establishment of the county, according to the regulations at that time, Ningnan County should be under the direct management of the provincial government, but because of its remote location, it was still under the management of Ningnan consolidation Committee. In 1935, Ningnan County was assigned to 18 supervision districts of Sichuan Province. Xikang province was established in 1939, and Ningnan County was assigned to the third administrative supervision district of Xikang province.
On March 23, 1950, after the liberation of Ningnan, it belonged to Xichang special district of Xikang province.
In October 1955, Xikang province was abolished and merged into Sichuan Province with Xichang special region.
In November 1968, the special area was renamed District, and its subordinate relationship remained unchanged.
In October 1978, Ningnan was incorporated into Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture along with Xichang Prefecture.
