Dege county is a county mainly engaged in animal husbandry. The famous scenic spots include dege Yinjing academy, the national key cultural relic protection unit, which is the first of the three Tibetan Buddhist Yinjing academies in China, and Ashu grassland, the hometown of King Gesar.

Historical evolution
In ancient times, it was the land of Dong nationality. the Western Han Dynasty is the "dynamic sticky" land.
