Gaoping District Gaoping District, Nanchong municipal district, Sichuan Province, is located in the south of Nanchong City and the east of the city. It was established in Anhan County in Han Dynasty and Nanchong County in Sui Dynasty. In 1993, it was changed from Nanchong county to a municipal district. Gaoping District is located in the northeast of Sichuan Basin and on the East Bank of the middle reaches of Jialing River. In agriculture, citrus, bamboo, vegetable industry and "three" modern agricultural industrial bases with an area of 10000 mu are well developed.
