Zhoucun District Zhoucun District, subordinate to Zibo City, Shandong Province, is located in the west of Zibo, adjacent to Zhangdian District in the East, Zichuan District in the south, Zhangqiu District of Jinan City in the southwest, Zouping city of Binzhou City in the northwest and Huantai County in the northeast, with a total area of 307 square kilometers.
Zhoucun District is high in the South and low in the north. Xiaofu River, Fanyang River, Gan River, Migou River and shuizhuo river run through the territory. Historical evolution

In the Western Han Dynasty, it belonged to Wuling County in the north and Banyang county (now Zichuan) in the south.
During the northern and Southern Dynasties, it was Wuqiang County, Guangchuan county. In the fifth year of Yuanjia of Song Dynasty, Beiqiu county was established in the south, belonging to Qinghe County.
In 596, it belonged to Zichuan. In 598, it changed Wuqiang county to Changshan County and Beiqiu county to Zichuan county. At present, Zichuan county is located in the South and Changshan County in the north. It has been more than 1300 years.
In August 1945, Zhoucun was liberated for the first time. Zhoucun was established as a city under the jurisdiction of Bohai administrative office. Later, Zhoucun was transferred to Zibo Special Administrative Region.
In March 1950, Zhoucun and Changshan merged into Changshan County; in November, Changshan County separated out and built Zhangzhou city with Zhangdian.
In April 1955, Zhoucun District was under the jurisdiction of Zibo City.
In November 1958, Zouping County was divided into Nanyan and Zhangfang communes, and Zichuan District into mengjiayan and sukong communes. There are 5 communes (135 natural villages) and 3 villages in the district.
In August 1970, Zichuan District was divided into Mengshui, Pengyang and Wangcun communes. It has jurisdiction over 11 communes and 212 natural villages.
In 1986, Zhoucun District governed 2 towns (Wangcun, Mengshui), 9 townships (Zhoucun, Zhangfang, Nanyan, Dajiang, Nanying, jiahuang, Gaotang, Pengyang, baligou), 3 streets (Sishi street, silk road, Xiahe Street), 216 administrative villages (including 212 natural villages) and 25 residential communities.
On January 25, 1988, the district government issued the No. 14 document of Zhou Zhengfa, which changed the name of Dongmin village of Zhoucun township to hangbei residential community, still belonging to Zhoucun township.
On September 1, 1989, according to the No. 32 document of luzhengmin letter issued by the provincial government, Zhoucun township was abolished and Zhoucun town was established; Nanyan township was abolished and Nanyan town was established; Nanying township was abolished and Nanying town was established. After the three townships were set up as towns, their administrative areas and people's Government residences remained unchanged. Baligou township was abolished and Nanjiao town was established. The administrative region remained unchanged. The town government was stationed at No.2 Nanjiao road.
On September 20, 1991, the district government issued document No. 104 of zhouzhengfa, which divided Dongmin residential community into Dongmin residential community and Hangdong residential community, still belonging to the Silk Road street.
On December 10, 1993, according to the provincial government's "reply on revoking Dajiang Township and Gaotang Township in Zhoucun District of Zibo City and establishing Dajiang town and Gaotang town", Dajiang township was abolished and Dajiang town was established, Gaotang township was abolished and Gaotang town was established. After the two townships were set up into towns, their administrative areas and people's Government residences remained unchanged.
By the end of 1995, Zhoucun District had jurisdiction over 8 towns, 3 townships, 215 administrative villages (including 212 natural villages), 3 streets and 28 residential communities.
In 1997, jiahuang township was abolished and jiahuang town was established, and the administrative divisions remained unchanged.
In 1999, Zhoucun town was abolished. Taking the intersection of Xinjian Road and Dongmen road as the center, Zhoucun town was divided into four directions: Southeast, northwest, northeast and southwest. Four streets, Silk Street, Yong'an street, Qingnian Street and Dajie street, were set up respectively in Zhoucun urban area, with jurisdiction over 22 residential communities. At the same time, four villages are divided from Nanyan town and three villages from Nanjiao Town, which are respectively under the jurisdiction of four villages.
In March 2001, according to the requirements of provincial documents, the original 8 towns, 2 townships and 4 streets of Zhoucun District were merged into 4 towns and 5 streets. Nanying Town, Dajiang Town, Zhangfang Township and 13 villages from Nanyan town were merged into Beijiao Town, and the town government was stationed in Nanying village. GAOTANG Town, jiahuang town and Nanjiao town were merged to establish a new Nanjiao town. At the same time, mengjiayan village, the former southern suburb town, is under the jurisdiction of the Silk Road Street, and the town government is located in Gaotang village. Pengyang Township and Wangcun town will be merged to establish a new Wangcun Town, and the town government will be stationed in Wangcun village. The original 16 villages under the jurisdiction of Nanyan town were set up in Chengbei road street, located at 99 Nanyan road.
By the end of 2002, the district had jurisdiction over 4 towns (Wangcun Town, Beijiao Town, Nanjiao town and Mengshui town), 5 streets (Dajie, Qingnian Road, silk road, Yong'an street and Chengbei Road), 210 administrative villages and 26 residential communities.
In January 2011, Mengshui town was designated as Wenchang Lake tourist resort. The district governs 3 towns, 5 streets and 230 administrative villages.
