Yanbian County, Yanbian County, belongs to Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province. Yanbian county is located in the north of Panzhihua City, between 26 ° 25 ′~ 27 ° 21 ′ N and 101 ° 08 ′~ 102 ° 04 ′ E. Yanbian county was called Dazuo in ancient times. In the early Qing Dynasty, Ningyuan Prefecture was set up to govern Xichang. Yanyuan and Yanbian were subordinate to the military and civilian commanding Department of yanjingwei. In the sixth year of Yongzheng (1728), Yanyuan County was set up after the Wei was defeated, and they were subordinate to Ningyuan Prefecture. Chengdu Kunming railway and Chengdu Kunming High Speed Railway under construction are adjacent to the county seat, and provincial highways 310, 214 and 216 run through the north and south.
In 2018, Yanbian county achieved a GDP of 14.336 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.5%, of which the added value of the primary industry was 1.128 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.0%; the added value of the secondary industry was 9.689 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.7%; the added value of the tertiary industry was 3.518 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.3%.

As early as three or four thousand years ago in the Neolithic period, there were human activities of cultivation, fishing, hunting and so on. Yanbian county was called Dazuo in ancient times.
During the reign of Xia Yu, "the boundless tribute of Yu was painted as Kyushu.". "The black water of Huayang is only Liangzhou" (Zuo Zhuan, the fourth year of Xianggong). The area from Xichang to Dayao of Yunnan (including Yanbian) was one of the edge areas of Liangzhou at that time.
During the reign of King Cheng of Zhou Dynasty, "He Liang Yu Yong" (reprint of Li Xiu's general records of Yunnan, printed in the Republic of China, compiled in Jiajing of Ming Dynasty). Yanbian area also belongs to Yongzhou.
In the fifth year of King Shen of Zhou Dynasty (316 BC), Qin destroyed Ba and Shu and established Ba and Shu counties. "Because the state of Shu was broken, its descendants lived in Yao and other places" (justice in historical records, written by Zhang Shoujie of Tang Dynasty). The west of Yao refers to the area from Xichang and Panzhihua to Yongren and Dayao of Yunnan.
In the thirtieth year of King Hao of Zhou Dynasty (285 BC), Zhang Ruo, the governor of Shu, was sent by King Zhao of Qin Dynasty to "take Zuo and reach Jiangnan" (records of Huayang state, records of Shu). Zuo refers to Yanbian, Yanyuan, Miyi, Huaping, Ninglang and Dayao in Yunnan.
In the sixth year of Yuanding (111 BC), Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty set up Yue County in Qiong, Zuo and other places. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, it was renamed Ji, and the county ruled qiongdu (now Southeast of Xichang). In the same year, Dazhou county was established, which governed Luyu township of Yanbian county. It was under the jurisdiction of the central and southern part of Yanbian and a part of Renhe district. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, the province entered Dingzuo county. In the same year, xuandingzuo county was established, which governed Yanyuan and Yanjing, and now the north of Yanbian and Yanyuan. Dazuo and Dingzuo are under the jurisdiction of Yuejun. In the same year, Sanjiang County was set up. In the Eastern Han Dynasty, it was renamed sanxiu county. The county government will be in the south of Lixian County. Its jurisdiction includes Hongge Town, Xinjiu Township, Xinmin Township, Anning Township, and Wuai Township in the south of Yanbian. During the period of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty (140-129 BC), suijiu county was established, and now the northwest of Yanbian is under the jurisdiction of suijiu county.
In the second year of the Northern Zhou Dynasty (567), Dingzuo town was set up. The town governed Yanyuan and Yanjing south. It was subordinate to the prefecture, and now Yanbian and Yanyuan were under its jurisdiction.
In the second year of Wude (619) of Tang Dynasty, Kunming county was changed from Dingzuo town. Yanbian county was under the jurisdiction of Yuejun county. Yanbian and Yanyuan were under the jurisdiction of the county, but not Nanzhao. In 648, the 22nd year of Zhenguan reign of Emperor Taizong of Tang Dynasty, he was jailed in Xunsheng, Linkai and songwai counties. In the third year of Yonghui reign of Emperor Gaozong of Tang Dynasty (653), the state was abolished, and the three counties of the province were transferred to Changming county. The county ruled Yanbian County in a healthy way. Tianbao was not found in Tufan, and later it was ruled by Nanzhao of Mengshi. In the eighth year of Zhenguan (634), Heji county was set up. Its jurisdiction included five towns in the south of Yanbian, and later it was set up in Nanzhao.
From the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms to the song, Liao, Jin and Xia dynasties, Yanbian was ruled by six local separatist regimes, namely, dachanghe, Datian Xingguo, Dayi Ningguo, Dali, Greater China and Houli. Most of the three short-lived regimes before Dali followed the old Nanzhao system. During the reign of Dali state and Houli state for more than 300 years, there were three prefectures and one county. Yanbian belonged to Hetoudian of Shanju county.
In the second year of Yuan Xianzong (1252), Kublai Khan led the Mongolian army from Gansu Province to the north of Sichuan Province, crossed the Dadu River and the Jinsha River to the south, ruled the country and established the provincial system. Yanbian and other places were under the jurisdiction of xingzhongshu province of Yunnan Province. In 1277, Yanjing was set up to manage thousands of households, and Yanyuan and Yanbian were under its jurisdiction. In the 17th year of the Zhiyuan Dynasty, it was changed to run salt state, and 10 years later it was changed to run salt county, which was subordinate to Luomeng qingxuanwei department.
In the ninth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1376), it was changed from "the provincial secretary in Xingzhong" to "the Minister of administration". In the 26th year of Hongwu (1393), it set up the military and civilian commanding Department of yanjingwei, which was under the jurisdiction of Yanyuan and Yanbian, and was subordinate to the commanding Department of Sichuan provincial capital.
In the first year of Yongle (1403), the emperor Chengzu of Ming Dynasty set up the Department of Mala's deputy chief (now Huimin, Yongxing area), which was under the command of yanjingwei.
In the early Qing Dynasty, Ningyuan Prefecture was set up to govern Xichang. Yanyuan and Yanbian were subordinate to the military and civilian commanding Department of yanjingwei. In the sixth year of Yongzheng (1728), Yanyuan County was set up after the Wei was defeated, and they were subordinate to Ningyuan Prefecture. At that time, Yanbian was under the jurisdiction of Yanyuan County. Jiaqing 21 years (1816), in Yanbian asola (formerly health town) set up inspection department, under the Yanyuan County. As a separate administrative unit, Yanbian began with the establishment of inspection department. In 1935, Yanbian county and Xichang county were transferred to the 18th administrative supervision district of Sichuan Province. Xikang province was established in 1939, and the three counties were transferred to the third administrative supervision area of Xikang province.
On March 31, 1950, Yanbian was liberated. At the beginning of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was subordinate to Xichang District of Xikang province.
In October 1955, Xikang province was withdrawn and merged into Sichuan Province, and Yanbian county was subordinate to Xichang special district of Sichuan Province.
On November 5, 1978, Yanbian and Miyi counties under the former Xichang special district were officially put under the jurisdiction of Dukou city.

In the Five Dynasties, Yanbian and Huaping, Yunnan, were both Hetoudian in Shanju County of Dali.
In the yuan and Ming Dynasties, Yanbian and Yanyuan belonged to the Yanjing administrative department and the military and civilian commanding Department of Yanjing Wei. In the first year of Yongle of Ming Dynasty (1403), Mala Long's lawsuit was set up, which was subordinate to the military and civilian commanding Department of Yanjing Wei. In the early Qing Dynasty, Yanbian was still under the command of yanjingwei. Yongzheng six years (1728) belong to Yanyuan County, the name of the mountain.
