Wuxi County Wuxi County is located in the northeast of Chongqing City, at the south foot of the east section of Daba. It is a typical mountainous agricultural county. Wuxi County is located at the junction of Chongqing, Shaanxi and Hubei provinces, connecting Shennongjia forest region and Zhuxi County in Hubei Province in the East, Fengjie County and Wushan County in the south, Kaizhou district and Yunyang County in the west, Chengkou county and Zhenping county in Shaanxi Province in the north. Evolution of organizational system
Since the founding of Wuxi County in the Eastern Han Dynasty, there have been counties, counties, prefectures and prefectures with the names of Beijing County, shining County, Yongchang County, Daning County, Daning Prefecture, Daning County and Wuxi County.
In the pre Qin period, Wuxi County successively belonged to Wuxian state and wupeng state. Xia, Shang and Zhou belonged to Yuyi, the state of Yong. Yuyi merged with Chu and belonged to Wujun. In the Warring States period (277 BC), the Qin Dynasty took Chu Wu County as Qianzhong county and established Wu County, which included Wushan and Wuxi.
After the unification of the six states, the system of prefectures and counties was carried out in Qin Dynasty.
In the Western Han Dynasty, Wuxi County belonged to Nanjun county. In the 15th year of Jian'an (A.D. 210) of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Wu County was divided into Beijing County, which was governed by Chengxiang town of today's Wuxi County; in the 21st year of Jian'an (A.D. 216), Beijing County belonged to Guling county (today's Fengjie County).
During the Three Kingdoms period, Beijing County was under the jurisdiction of Badong County (now Fengjie), Yidu county (now Yichang) and Jianping County (now Wushan).
In the Western Jin Dynasty, Beijing County was successively under the jurisdiction of Badong County, Jianping Duwei county and Jianping County; in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the organizational system of Beijing County remained unchanged.
During the southern and Northern Dynasties, the system of Beijing County remained unchanged in the Liu Song, Southern Qi, Liang and Western Wei dynasties. At the beginning of the Northern Zhou Dynasty (557-566 A.D.), shining county was established in Beijing County, later renamed Yongchang County. The county was governed by Chengxiang town of Wuxi County. In 568 ad, Beijing County was merged into Dachang county.
The Sui Dynasty followed the county system. In 582 A.D., Yongchang County was abolished, and Dachang County belonged to Xinzhou general manager's office and Badong County.
In Tang Dynasty, the system of prefectures and counties was changed, and the construction of Dao was added. Dachang county was under the jurisdiction of Kuizhou (now Fengjie), which is the East Road of Shannan.
During the period of Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, Shannan Dongdao was abandoned and Zhenjiang army was set up in Kuizhou. Later, it was changed into Ningjiang army and belonged to Dachang county.
Road was set up in the Northern Song Dynasty. In the first year of Emperor Taizong's Duangong (988 AD), Wuxi belonged to Daning prison of Kuizhou road. The supervision is in Chengxiang Town, Wuxi County. In the Southern Song Dynasty, the relationship between counties remained unchanged, and it was still under the supervision of Daning.
In the Yuan Dynasty, Sichuan Province was set up as the province of letters in Xingzhong. In the 20th year of Zhiyuan Dynasty (1283 AD), Daning Prefecture was promoted to Daning Prefecture, which governed Dachang, Xunyang, Pingli, Shiquan, Longhua and other counties. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty (1361 AD), Daning belonged to Kuizhou road of the peasant regime in Daxia.
In Ming Dynasty, the "road" was changed to "Fu", and Daning Prefecture belonged to Chongqing Prefecture. Hongwu 9 years (AD 1376), down to Daning County Daning Prefecture, Sichuan Province Chengxuan Minister of Chongqing government Kuizhou road. In the Qing Dynasty, the system of "Dao" was established above the government, prefecture and county. In the third year of Shunzhi (1646 AD), he Zhen and his son boning occupied Daning to resist the Qing Dynasty. In the second year of Kangxi (1663 AD), after boning was surrendered, Daning County began to submit to the rule of the Qing Dynasty. Kangxi 6 years (AD 1667), the withdrawal of Daning County into Fengjie County. In 1729 ad, Daning County was reestablished, which was under the jurisdiction of Kuizhou Prefecture, East Sichuan Province.
During the period of the Republic of China, Daning County was subordinate to Chuandong road. In 1914, the name of the county was changed to Wuxi County because it had the same name as Daning County in Shanxi Province.
In October 1918, Xiong Kewu, commander-in-chief of the Sichuan Yasukuni army and governor of Sichuan Province, was appointed as commander of the seventh division of the Yasukuni army and stationed in Daxian county. At that time, it had jurisdiction over Daxian, Xuanhan, Kaijiang, Wanyuan, Chengkou, Kaixian, Yunyang, Fengjie, Wuxi, Quxian, Yingshan, Yilong, Peng'an, Tongjiang, Nanjiang, Bazhong, Langzhong, Cangxi, Nanbu, Yanting, Zhaohua, Guangyuan, Jiange and Zitong counties.
From the 6th year to the 24th year of the Republic of China (1917 to 1935), Wuxi County was taken as a defense area by warlords, which successively belonged to the Henan Hubei Jingguo allied army, the Sichuan army, the 20th army of the National Revolutionary Army and the 21st army. In 1935, Wuxi County was under the jurisdiction of the ninth administrative supervision district of Sichuan Province (now Wanzhou District).
On December 20, 1949, the people's Government of Wuxi County was established, which is subordinate to Wanxian District of Chuandong people's Administrative Office of southwest administrative region. On September 1, 1952, the organizational system of Sichuan Province was restored, and Wuxi County belongs to Wanxian District of Sichuan Province. In June 1968, Wanxian district was renamed as Wanxian district; in 1993, Wanxian district was renamed as Wanxian city, implementing the administrative system of city governing county. In March 1997, Chongqing Municipality was established directly under the central government. Wanxian city was transformed into Chongqing Wanzhou immigration Development Zone, which is subordinate to Wuxi County. In July 2000, Wuxi County was under the direct jurisdiction of Chongqing Municipality.
On February 22, 2020, Wuxi County will withdraw from the national key counties for poverty alleviation and development; on November 29, it will join the Daba Mountain and the Three Gorges Cultural and tourism development alliance.
