Yinhai District Yinhai district is a municipal district under the jurisdiction of Beihai City, Guangxi. There are Beihai Fucheng airport and Beihai international passenger port in Yinhai District, next to Beihai railway station.
Yinhai District, a county-level administrative region approved by the State Council on December 17, 1994, is an integral part of Beihai's open area.
Yinhai district is located in the south central part of Beihai city. It is the junction of one county and three districts in Beihai city. It is adjacent to Haicheng District in the west, Beibu Gulf in the south, Tieshangang District in the East and Hepu County in the north. There are highways, railways, international passenger terminals, airports and other infrastructure.
In 2011, Yinhai district has jurisdiction over 4 towns, 40 village committees and 8 community neighborhood committees, with an administrative area of 475.16 square kilometers, a total population of 232000, a cultivated area of 18012.91 hectares, a forest area of 7095.4 hectares, a coastline of 115.6 kilometers, and a shallow beach area of 11200 hectares within 20 meters.
Historical evolution
In the year of Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty, Beihai was named as a city. Yinhai district belongs to Beihai, and its administrative area is the same as Haicheng District. From 1930s to 1940s, Yinhai District successively belongs to Gaode Township Office and Fucheng Township Office. After liberation, it was in charge of the Fourth District of Beihai City and Fucheng township of Hepu County. Beihai was liberated on December 4, 1949, and Yinhai district was under the jurisdiction of Hepu County. In January 1951, Yinhai district was under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province. In May of the same year, it was entrusted to the leadership of Guangxi Province. In March 1952, Yinhai district was officially under the jurisdiction of Guangxi. In May 1955, Yinhai District returned to Guangdong. In 1958, it was under the jurisdiction of Beihai people's commune of Hepu County. In 1964, it was under the jurisdiction of Beihai county-level city, and in June 1965, it was under the jurisdiction of Guangxi along with Beihai city. The people's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region approved the establishment of Haicheng District and suburb of Beihai City on September 8, 1984. On July 21, 1990, the people's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region approved that Dijiao town on the outskirts of Beihai City and 22 natural villages in Xitang Township, such as Xuwu, tanwu, Zhangwu, Daqiao and Liwu, as well as Lepeng village in Gaode Town, should be under the jurisdiction of Haicheng District. On December 17, 1994, the State Council approved the abolition of Beihai suburb and the establishment of Yinhai district. Yinhai district has jurisdiction over Fucheng town which is divided from Hepu County, Qiaogang Town, Xiantian Town, Gaode town and Xitang town in the former suburb, three neighborhood committees of dadunhai, Nanwan and Xincun in Haicheng District, and the District People's government is located in Mingzhu Avenue. Eight village offices in Weizhou town (including Xieyang Island), Malan village, juntun village, Kaijiang village, Dongwei village, wengshan village, Chixi village and Gaonong village in Gaode Town, five neighborhood committees in the first, second, Shajiao village, Lingdi village and Miaoshan village, Luoke village and longgoulu village in Pingyang village office, and three village offices in Xitang Town, Xitang village, xibiandong village and Yima Village Office in Xitang town are under the jurisdiction of Haicheng District of Beihai city. Among them, there are 74437 in Fucheng Town, 24158 in Xitang Town, 12503 in Gaode Town, 16973 in Qiaogang town and 10781 in Xiantian town. In 2003, Yinhai District governed five towns: Fucheng Town, Xitang Town, Gaode Town, Qiaogang town and Xiantian town. There are 7 communities and 39 administrative villages. (according to the code of Guangxi Administrative Divisions in that year) < br > Fucheng town governs Fucheng community; 21 administrative villages are Haining, Gucheng, Zhulin, pantang, duantian, Shanzi, Dongcun, Xicun, Hailu, Dakan, Fucheng, hongjingtang, Sanhekou, Maibei, Mentou, Dashuijiang, Huafu, Pingxin, Hongqi, Songming and Pinglian.
Xitang town governs Xincun, dadunhai and Nanwan communities; quwan, Longtan, Hegou, guanjing, Xiacun, Hexing, beibeiling and Heping administrative villages.
Gaode town has jurisdiction over six administrative villages, namely Pingyang, henglushan, Dongxing, Chidong, Baojia and Sundong.
Qiaogang town governs Qiaobei, Qiaonan and qiaozhong communities and Yaping administrative village.
Xiantian town governs Xiantian, Dianjian and baihutou three administrative villages. On June 21, 2005, the government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (GZH No. 175) agreed to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns in Yinhai District: to abolish Xitang town and Xiantian town and establish Yintan Town, with the former jurisdiction of Xitang town and Xiantian town as the administrative region of Yintan Town, Yintan town government located in baihutou road of Xiantian Town, Gaode town renamed as Pingyang Town, and Pingyang town government located in Pingyang village of Gaode town.
