There is Yuechengling anticline in the northwest and oceanic anticline in the southeast. Between the two is the Hunan Guangxi corridor, which can be called "Lingchuan synclinorium", and the overall trend is northeast. The main Anticline of Yuechengling anticline is Mahai anticline, and the core rock is Banxi group; the core rock of changsheling anticline is Lower Devonian purple red sandstone. The core of damiaowei syncline is the lower Carboniferous Yanguan formation, and the two wings are Devonian sandstone and limestone. The marine anticline is mainly composed of three anticlines and two synclines. LAOCHANG domed anticline is located in the easternmost part, and its core is Cambrian; changshanpo anticline is located in the middle, and its core is Middle Devonian Yingtang formation. Lengshuitian Pingshan syncline is located between the two anticlines, with the core of Yanguan formation of Lower Carboniferous. Yaoshan Jinzhushan anticline is located in the most western part, with the Middle Devonian Yingtang Formation clastic rocks in its core. Lingtianjie Dawu syncline is located between Yaoshan Jinzhushan anticline and Changshan anticline. The core of the syncline shows the lower Carboniferous Datang formation. Lingchuan synclinorium is composed of two synclines and a very narrow anticline, which is generally NE trending. Among them, the gantangdu damianwei syncline is in the northeast, and the core is the lower Carboniferous Yanguan formation. Dingjiangjie syncline is located in the southwest, and the core is also the lower Carboniferous Guanyan formation. Sujia anticline is located between them. It is composed of Upper Devonian Guilin limestone and Rongxian limestone. The anticline extends to the south of Guilin city.

With a total length of several hundred kilometers, it runs from Quanzhou and Jieshou southwest to Lingchuan via Yongxing street and Rongjiang in Xing'an, and extends to Guilin on the west side of Dingjiang street. County span of about 30 km, 45 degrees north-east trend. The faults are distributed in the northwest of Xiang GUI Jiadao, cutting off a series of anticlines and synclines. The faulted strata include Ordovician, Devonian, calcareous and Cretaceous, and many of them are buried by Quaternary. The fault plane inclines to the Northwest with an dip angle of 30-60 degrees, and the northwest wall thrusts to the northeast. The fault has the nature of translation and thrusting.

The mountain ranges in the county belong to Yuechengling mountain system and Dupangling ocean mountain system respectively.
