Kenli District Kenli district is a municipal district of Dongying City, Shandong Province. It was named after the area once known as reclamation area and lijinwa. It is located at the mouth of the Yellow River and the hinterland of Shengli Oilfield. The regional position is 37 ° 24 ′ - 38 ° 10 ′ n, 118 ° 15 ′ - 119 ° 19 ′ E. The area is southwest and northeast, 55.5 km from north to South and 96.2 km from east to west. The total area is 2331 square kilometers. By the end of 2013, there were 248200 permanent residents in the county, mainly Han nationality.
In 2015, the region's GDP was 39.68 billion yuan, and the general public budget revenue was 2.1 billion yuan. The investment in fixed assets was 43.64 billion yuan, the total retail sales of social consumer goods was 6.09 billion yuan, the per capita disposable income of urban residents was 35552 yuan, and the per capita disposable income of rural residents was 14442 yuan.
The main tourist attractions are Yellow River Estuary eco-tourism area, Minfeng lake leisure and entertainment area, Yellow River Estuary eco agricultural sightseeing park, Bohai reclamation revolution memorial hall, etc. In November 2018, it was selected as one of the top 100 industrial districts in 2018.
In 2019, the GDP increased by 2.5% year-on-year; the general public budget revenue was 2.89 billion yuan, an increase of 6.8%; excluding the impact of tax and fee reduction policies, the actual growth was 15.6%; the per capita disposable income of urban residents and rural residents reached 47343 yuan and 19815 yuan, an increase of 6.9% and 8.6%, respectively. In October, it was rated as one of the top 100 new urbanization quality areas in China in 2019. On December 31, it was selected as a typical county of rural innovation and entrepreneurship in China.
Historical evolution
Kenli land was formed by the deposition of the Yellow River and the retreat from the sea after the Western Han Dynasty (206 bc-25 AD). Most of the villages were built in Ming and Qing Dynasties. In the eastern part of the county, there were people in the early 20th century. Most villages were formed in the 1930s, while some villages were formed after liberation in the 1940s.
In September 1941, the Anti Japanese democratic regime in the reclamation area was established.
In 1943, the reclamation area was officially called Kenli County, because the county was once called reclamation area and lijinwa.
In 1983, it was separated from Huimin area and divided into Dongying City.
On August 2, 2016, Kenli County was officially abolished and Kenli District of Dongying City was established, with the former administrative region of Kenli County as the administrative region of Kenli District of Dongying City.

From January 1986 to July 1987, Kenli County governed one town, 11 townships, one fishery management station (township level), 320 villagers' committees and 394 natural villages.
In August 1988, Kendong Office (section level) was established. In October 1933, Hongguang fishery management station was abolished and Hongguang fishery Office (section level) of Kenli County People's government was established.
At the end of 1991, Kenli County had one town, 11 townships and two offices. They are Kenli Town, Jianlin Township, Xin'an Town, Xiazhen Township, Yong'an Town, Gaogai Township, Haojia Township, Dongji Township, Shengli Township, Ninghai Township, Shengtuo Township, Xisong Township, Hongguang fishery office and Kendong office.
On March 29, 1994, Shengtuo township was withdrawn from the township and built into a town. In September of the same year, Hao's hometown and Gaogai's hometown were also removed to build towns. The scope of the three towns is the same as before.
On February 9, 2001, the administrative division was changed from 4 towns and 8 townships to 5 towns and 2 townships. That is, the former Gaogai town was merged into Kenli town and the government was stationed in the former Kenli town; Shengli Township and Ninghai Township were merged into Shengtuo town and the government was stationed in the former Shengtuo town; the former Yong'an town and Xiazhen Township were merged to establish Yong'an town and the government was stationed in the former Yong'an township; the former Jianlin Township and the former Xin'an Township were merged to establish Huanghekou town and the government was stationed in the former Xin'an township. Haojia Town, Dongji Township, Xisong Township, Hongguang office and Kendong office remain unchanged.
In August 2009, the people's Government of Shandong Province abolished Kenli town and Xisong township of Kenli County, established Kenli sub district office and Xinglong sub district office, and put four administrative villages in Yong'an town under Xinglong sub district office.
As of 2016, Kenli district has jurisdiction over five towns of Shengtuo, Haojia, Yong'an, Huanghekou and Dongji, two streets of Kenli and Xinglong, one provincial economic development zone and Shandong Kenli economic development zone. The government is located at 16 Shengxing Road, Kenli street.

Geology and geomorphology
Kenli District of Dongying City is located in the east of Jiyang depression. From north to south, it longitudinally crosses the east or north of the secondary structures of Gudao uplift, Zhanhua sag, Chenjiazhuang uplift and Dongying sag. The territory is widely covered by Quaternary deposits, no bedrock exposed. The area can be divided into three parts, the middle part is uplift, and the north and south sides are depression. The fault structure is very developed in the territory, which is characterized by many faults and high activity intensity.
In history, the tail section of the Yellow River often swayed left and right, and many times collapsed, overflowed, overflowed and so on, which resulted in the typical delta landform. The terrain is fan-shaped and slightly inclined from southwest to northeast. The highest point of the dampproof dam (Yellow Sea elevation) is 11.61 meters, and the lowest point is less than 2 meters. The geomorphic gradient of the whole dampproof dam is 1 / 8000, and that of the northeast is 1 / 10000-1 / 12000.

Kenli District of Dongying City is located in the temperate monsoon climate zone. Although it is close to the Bohai Sea, it is obviously affected by the continental monsoon. It is dry and cold in winter, hot and humid in summer and has four distinct seasons. The annual total sunshine hours were 2479.7 hours, 285.7 hours less than that of normal years. Southeast wind prevails in summer, northwest wind prevails in winter, northeast wind prevails in spring and west wind prevails in autumn. The temperature of the whole year is on the high side. It is cold in winter and extremely hot in summer. There are few strong winds and cold in winter. It is warm and humid in spring, and the temperature rises quickly. The spatial and temporal distribution of precipitation is uneven. In 2009, the precipitation was 571.4 mm, mostly in summer.

The Yellow River is the only natural river in the territory, starting from Dongji Luojia, flowing through Kenli district and into the sea, with a flow length of 120 km. There are 10 main drainage channels in Kenli District, which are liuganpai, Yihong River, Yongfeng River, Zhangzhen River, Xiaodao River, wuliuganhepai, guangpugou, Guangli River, Qiuhu ditch and sanpaigou, with a total length of 288.6 km. The length of the drainage channel in the district is 230.92 km, which is evenly distributed in the east-west direction.

The coastline of Kenli district starts from the intersection of Gudong seawall in the north and Hekou District of Dongying City in the northeast, and ends at the intersection of qingtuohaipu in the South and Dongying District of Dongying City in the south, with a total length of 142.78 km. The beach area is 35715.13 hectares, and the shallow sea area is 141600 hectares. The bottom of the sea is the sediment at the mouth of the Yellow River, which is flat with small slope. The average annual temperature of seawater is 14.9 ℃, and the salinity of seawater is 24 ‰.

Kenli district is the place where the Yellow River flows into the sea. In normal years, the Yellow River carries about 20000 mu of sand to build land every year, making Kenli one of the fastest growing areas in China, and one of the areas with the most abundant land reserve resources in the east coast of China.
By the end of 2009, the total area of Kenli district was 220406.79 hectares. Among them, 88984.15 hectares of agricultural land (including 41634.39 hectares of cultivated land at the end of the year). The construction land is 22937.55 hectares. There are 108485.09 hectares of unused land, 249.65 hectares of cultivated land after development, 34.29 hectares of other agricultural land, and 37.97 hectares of construction land.

The main mineral resources in Kenli district are oil, natural gas, brine, geothermal, salt paste, shell, etc. Especially for oil and gas resources, Kenli area is the center of Shengli Oilfield. Since the development and construction of Shengli Oilfield, 43% of its oil and gas production and 45% of its proved reserves have come from Kenli underground. The eastern coastal brine reserves are 2 billion cubic meters and the rock salt reserves are 275 million tons.
water resource
There are two parts of available surface water resources in Kenli District: natural precipitation (self-produced runoff) and passenger water source (water from the Yellow River). Groundwater is not available because of its high salinity. The Yellow River water is the only source of passenger water in the territory, and the industrial, agricultural and domestic water in Kenli district comes from the Yellow River water.
Biological resources
There are 393 kinds of plants. Among them, the artificial tree species mainly include Salix matsudana, Fraxinus, Robinia pseudoacacia, Sophora japonica, fast-growing poplar, Melia azedarach, Dongzao, peach, etc.; the wild plants mainly include reed, Tamarix Tamarix, Salix matsudana, Salix chinensis, Tripterygium, mustard, Artemisia, wild soybean, motherwort, Apocynum venetum, Artemisia scoparia, etc. In 2014, the forest coverage rate reached 24.5%.
There are 1542 species of wild animals in the territory. Among them, there are 283 species of birds, 9 of which belong to the national class I protected animals and 33 of which belong to the national class II protected animals; 20 species of mammals, mainly including rabbits, badgers, red foxes, weasels and weasels; 223 species of terrestrial aquatic animals (including 108 species of freshwater fish) and 418 species of marine animals.
