Huidong County Huidong County, subordinate to Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, is located in the southeast of Guangdong Province and the east of Huizhou City, on the south side of the Tropic of cancer, connecting Haifeng County in the East, Zijin County in the north, Huiyang District in the west, Daya Bay and Red Bay in the South China Sea in the south. Historical evolution
Huidong County is under the jurisdiction of human beings in ancient times. The ancestors lived here in the late Neolithic age.
In the 33rd year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (214 BC), after Qin occupied Nanyue, it was set up in Fuluo County, Nanhai County, and the county seat was set up in lianghuatun, Huidong County.
In the first year of Wu Ganlu in the Three Kingdoms (265), Fuluo was changed to BOLUO.
In the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Nanhai county was analyzed and Dongguan county was established.
In the Southern Qi Dynasty, the eastern government ruled Liang Huatun.
In the second year of Liang Tianjian (503) in the Southern Dynasty, Dongguan county was changed to Lianghua County, which was governed by lianghuatun. BOLUO, Xinle and Huai'an counties were subordinate to Lianghua county.
In 589, the two counties of Xinle and Huai'an were merged and renamed Guishan county. As an ancient county and county seat, Lianghua in Huidong experienced Qin, Han, Three Kingdoms, Western Jin, Eastern Jin, southern and Northern Dynasties to the early Sui Dynasty, and became one of the few "ancient county famous counties" in ancient southern Guangdong, known as "Lianghua old state" and "Lingnan Xiongjun".
In 1912, Guishan county was changed to Huiyang county.
In May 1949, the South China branch of the CPC Central Committee established Huidong County from the east of Huiyang county. In December of the same year, Huidong was merged into Huiyang.
In April 1958, Huidong County was set up again in Huiyang county. In 1959, Huidong County was withdrawn and still belonged to Huiyang county.
In June 1965, it separated from Huiyang and restored Huidong County to Huiyang special district.
In October 1970, Huiyang District was renamed Huiyang District, and Huidong was still under the jurisdiction of Huiyang, BOLUO, Longmen County and Huizhou City (county level).
In January 1988, the State Council approved the abolition of the organizational system in Huiyang and the establishment of Huizhou City. Huidong County is subordinate to Huizhou City.
