Wengyuan County Wengyuan County, under the jurisdiction of Shaoguan City, is located in the north of Guangdong Province (north of Guangdong Province), Southeast of Shaoguan City, and upstream of the Beijiang River. Lianping County in the East, Xinfeng County in the south, Yingde City and Qujiang District in the west, Shixing County and Jiangxi Province in the north, with a total area of 2175 square kilometers. Under the jurisdiction of Longxian, Jiangwei, bazai, zhoupi, Guandu, Wengcheng, Xinjiang and Tielong eight towns. The registered residence population was 421756 at the end of 2019. The county is located in Longxian town.
In March 2020, it won the title of national advanced county of village cleaning action, and was praised by the central agricultural office and the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas. On July 10, 2020, it will be selected into the list of comprehensive demonstration counties of e-commerce in rural areas in 2020.
In July 2020, Wengyuan County was confirmed as the national health county in 2019.
Historical evolution
Qin Dynasty and before
In the Neolithic age, there were human activities in Wengyuan. In the spring and Autumn period, Wengyuan belonged to Baiyue. During the Warring States period, it belonged to Chu. In Qin Dynasty, it belonged to Nanhai county.
Han, Three Kingdoms, Jin and Southern Dynasties
Wengyuan belonged to Zhenyang County in the Han Dynasty, the Three Kingdoms, the Jin Dynasty and the Southern Dynasties. In 554, Zhenyang county was located in Wengyuan County, belonging to Shixing County of Eastern Hengzhou. At the beginning of Southern Chen Dynasty, East Hengzhou was abandoned, and Wengyuan County was changed into Shixing County of Hengzhou. In the first year of Chen Tianjia (560), Qingyuan County was established in Wengyuan County, which belongs to Qingyuan County.
Sui, Tang, Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms
Sui kaihuang nine years (589) Pingchen waste County, Wengyuan under the general manager of Guangzhou. In the early Tang Dynasty, Fanzhou was established in Qujiang. Wengyuan came from Guangzhou in the fourth year of Wude (621). During the Five Dynasties, Wengyuan County belonged to Shaozhou.
Song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties
In 1121, the third year of Xuanhe in Northern Song Dynasty, Jianfu county was established in Taiping Township of Wengyuan County, Lianping township of Qujiang County and Fujian township of Qujiang County, which was under the jurisdiction of Shaozhou. In the third year of Jianyan (1129) of the Southern Song Dynasty, Jianfu county was abolished, and its jurisdiction was returned to the original system. In 1278, Wengyuan County was merged into Qujiang County. In the fifth year of Dade (1301), Wengyuan County was restored to Yingde road. In 1308, Yingde road was reduced to a state, while Wengyuan still belonged to Yingde. In 1368, Wengyuan County changed its name to censhui County, and soon regained its name and transferred to Shaozhou Prefecture. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Wengyuan County was under the jurisdiction of Shaozhou Prefecture.
the Republic of China era
Wengyuan County followed the Qing system. From 1911 to 1949, Wengyuan County was under the jurisdiction of Suijing District, nanshaolian Road, Lingnan Road, nanshaolian administrative district, nanshaolian administrative district, North District, Suijing District of Northwest District, second administrative supervision district and third administrative supervision district of Guangdong Province.
The period of the people's Republic of China
On September 15, 1949, Wengyuan County was liberated. Wengyuan County was subordinate to Beijiang provisional people's Administrative Committee at the beginning, and then to Beijiang people's administrative inspector office, Beijiang district administrative inspector office, Beijiang District Commissioner Office, North Guangdong administrative office, Shaoguan Commissioner Office, Shaoguan Revolutionary Committee, Shaoguan regional Revolutionary Committee, Shaoguan local administrative office and Shaoguan City.

Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties
In the Yuan Dynasty, the county had four townships and 17 Li. In the early Ming Dynasty, there were three townships (Chang'an, Yiyang, Huaide) and five li. In 1422, Huaide was incorporated into Yiyang township. During the reign of Chenghua (1465-1487), six li (11 Li) were added.
In the early Qing Dynasty, two townships (Chang'an and Yiyang) with 11 Li were established. During the reign of Emperor Kangxi, the administrative division was changed to the township system. There are 28 shops in 2 townships and 22 shops in Shangxiang: Longtou, Jiulong, Lipi, Longxian, Nanpu, Yingcun, Lanqing, Lichun, zhoupi, Tengshan, Kunshan, Yitou, Chenyi, Chayuan, Furong, Shangzhuang, Yantou, Guitang, chatan, jiuniu, Niugang and Zhongnan. There are six shops in the countryside: Xianqian, Yanqian, Jiangzhen, Xintang, Taiping and Tiechang. From the end of the reign of Emperor Guangxu to the reign of emperor Xuantong, because of the turbulence of the current situation, Puhe formed a security group and carried out civil autonomy. There are 7 Security regiments and 29 shops in the county. Longxian Wufeng group has five shops in Longxian, Lichun, Lanqing, Nanpu and Yingcun; bazai group has five shops in Chayuan, Furong, Shangzhuang, Yantou and Guitang; Jiangwei group has four shops in chatan, Jiuxian, Niugang and Nantang; zhoupi group has five shops in zhoupi, Tengshan, Kunshan, Yitou and Chenyi; Xinjiang group has four shops in Jiangzhen, Xintang, Taiping and Tiechang; Wengcheng group has four shops in Wufeng group Three shops are in front of the city, county and Yanqian, and three shops in Longtou, Jiulong and Lipi are under the jurisdiction of Liuli security corps.

In the early years of the Republic of China, the administrative division of the county was still extended to the Qing Dynasty. There were 7 security groups in the county and 29 shops under its jurisdiction. In 1916, the security corps was renamed the district office, with 7 district offices (the first to the seventh in turn) in Wengcheng, zhoupi, Bazi, Xinjiang, Longxian, Jiangwei and Liuli, and 29 shops under its jurisdiction. In the spring of 1937, the district office was withdrawn and the Township Office was established. There are 29 Township offices in the county. In the autumn of 1938, Lianxiang office was established. The former District 1 and 4 were the first Lianxiang office, the former District 2 and 7 were the second Lianxiang office, the former District 3 and 6 were the third Lianxiang office, and the former District 5 were the fourth Lianxiang office. In March 1939, Lianxiang office was abolished and four districts were set up. The former Lianxiang office was changed into the first, second, third and fourth districts in turn, and there were still 29 townships. In 1940, the new county system was implemented. The county was divided into 7 districts (Wengcheng, zhoupi, Bazi, Xinjiang, Longxian, Jiangwei, Liuli) and 29 townships. In 1941, Wengdong, wengnan, wengbei and wengxi districts were set up, with 29 townships, 2 towns (Longxian town and Fucheng town) and 268 Baotou. From August 1948 to September 15 1949, the county was divided into 15 townships (Fucheng, Nanpu, lanli, Yingcun, zhoupi, Kunhua, Lilong, Xintang, Zhanqi, Jiangzhen, Chayuan, Yanzhuang, Jiangwei, Xiantan, Chenyi) and one town (Longxian town) with 162 guarantees.
The period of the people's Republic of China
On September 15, 1949, Wengyuan County was liberated and the people's Government of Wengyuan County was established. The county has two towns, 14 townships and 176 natural villages. On May 1, 1950, the county was divided into 4 districts, 18 townships and 2 towns. On September 15, 1951, the county was divided into five districts, 98 townships and 2 towns: the first district governs 26 townships and Longxian Town, and the district office is located in Nanpu street; the second district governs 14 townships, and the district office is located in zhoupi street; the third district governs 13 townships, and the district office is located in Liuli street; the Fourth District governs 22 townships and WengCheng Town, and the district office is located in Wengcheng street; the Fifth District governs 23 townships, and the district office is located in Bazi street.
On December 18, 1956, the people's Committee of Guangdong Province approved that liangba township of Xinfeng County was under the jurisdiction of Wengyuan County, belonging to the second district. On February 20, 1957, the whole county was divided into 4 districts, 2 towns and 22 townships. On September 14 of the same year, the whole county withdrew districts and merged townships into 14 townships, 1 town (Longxian town) and niushili mine office.
On July 3, 1958, the five townships of Yuwan, Dazhen, Qiaotou, Qingtang and Baisha in the east of Yingde were merged into Wengyuan. In October of the same year (the document was approved on December 14), Xinfeng County was merged into Wengyuan County. Nine people's communes were established: Xinjiang, Wengcheng, Dazhen, Yuwan, Wengjiang, zhoupi, Longxian, Bazi and Hongqi (formerly Xinfeng County), 168 production teams and 2200 production teams, and niushili mine office was set up.
In April 1959, Hongqi commune was renamed Xinfeng commune, Wengjiang commune was renamed Lilong commune, and six communes, Qiaotou commune, Qingtang commune, Shatian commune, Meikeng commune and Yingpan commune, were added. There were 15 communes and niushili mine office in the county. On November 6 of the same year, except that xinfengliangba still belonged to zhoupi, Xinfeng County was zoned back to Yingde; except for Qingtang and Hengshi in the east of Yingde, the rest was zoned back to Yingde; at the same time, Bitou commune in Lianping county was zoned into Wengyuan; in addition, Yanzhuang and Bazi, Nanpu and Longxian, Chenyi and zhoupi were merged. There are 11 communes in the county: Bazi, Jiangwei, Longxian, Potou, zhoupi, Lilong, Wengcheng, Xinjiang, Shuishang, Qingtang and Longxian communes.
On January 14, 1960, Hengshi commune, five farms and one institute were set up, namely Sanhua state farm, Huangpi livestock farm, Tielong forest farm, Luokeng water livestock farm, jiuqushui forest farm and Hekou Agricultural Science Research Institute. Longxian town commune was changed into urban commune in October.
In October 1961, the county was reorganized into 13 communes, 4 farms and 1 office, namely Bazi commune, Jiangwei commune, Pitou commune, zhoupi commune, Lilong commune, Wengcheng commune, Xinjiang commune, Shuishang commune, Qingtang commune and Hengshi commune. The former urban commune was renamed as urban commune, Longxian commune as Nanpu commune, and Sanhua farm as Sanhua commune. Four farms and one institute are state-owned Huangpi animal husbandry farm, state-owned Tielong forest farm, Luokeng water livestock farm, jiuqushui forest farm, Hekou Agricultural Science Institute, and niushili mine office is set up.
In the second half of 1962, Guandu commune was added, Hengshi, Qingtang and Huangpi were zoned back to Yingde County, and liangba was zoned back to Xinfeng County. There are still 12 communes, 1 commune level field, 151 large teams and 1950 small teams in the county.
On July 10, 1964, the people's Commission of Guangdong Province approved the establishment of Longxian town and Puzhu town (formerly niushili Mine Office). On March 15, 1966, Longxian town was designated by urban commune.
In June 1967, Pitou commune was transferred back to Lianping County, and the former urban commune was renamed Fucheng commune. In the winter of 1968, the water commune was renamed the water transport commune,
