Fengxin County, a county under the jurisdiction of Yichun City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the northwest of Jiangxi Province. It is adjacent to Anyi County in the East, Gao'an city in the south, Yifeng County in the southwest, Xiushui County in the northwest, and Jing'an County in the north. The Liaohe River flows through the territory in the West and East, with a total area of 1642 square kilometers. Historical evolution
Fengxin County belonged to Wu County in the spring and Autumn period, Chu County in the Warring States period, Jiujiang County in the Qin Dynasty and Yuzhang County in the early Han Dynasty.
Haihun county began to be named in 154 B.C. in the third year of emperor Jingdi of Han Dynasty, which is one of the earliest 18 counties in Jiangxi Province.
In the 16th year of emperor Yongyuan (104 AD), haihun was divided into Jianchang County.
The second year of Zhongping (185 A.D.) of Emperor Ling of Han Dynasty was divided into haihun and Jianchang. Xinwu county was set up. The county was governed by Huibu County, which belongs to Yuzhang.
In 706 ad, the county government moved from Guxian to FengChuan.
In the first year of Baoda in the Southern Tang Dynasty (943 AD), Wu abdicated the throne to Tang Dynasty. In order to avoid suspicion, Wu was replaced by Fengxin, which means "abandoning the old to welcome the new".
It was liberated on July 8, 1949. Before 1958, it was under the jurisdiction of Nanchang special region. Since January 1959, it was under the jurisdiction of Yichun region. In August 2000, Yichun was established as a city, still under the jurisdiction of Fengxin County.
