Zhongfang County Zhongfang County, subordinate to Huaihua City, Hunan Province, is located in the southwest of Hunan Province, in the middle of Huaihua City, adjacent to Xupu County in the East, Hongjiang City in the south, Zhijiang County in the west, Chenxi County in the north, and Hecheng District in the northwest. The shortest distance from Huaihua City is 6 km. China established the county in April 1998, which was once known as "the youngest County of the Republic". It is the birthplace of "water dance culture" and "the largest Grape Valley in South China". Zhongfang County governs 11 towns and 1 Ethnic Township, with a total land area of 1515.45 square kilometers.
The Chinese side is the central node city of Hongzhi town group in Hezhong. Rich in natural resources such as agriculture, forestry, mineral resources and water energy, it enjoys the reputation of "hometown of Camellia oleifera", "hometown of fruits", "hometown of medicinal materials" and "the largest Grape Valley in South China". Historical evolution
The predecessor of Zhongfang county is Huaihua City, whose construction changes frequently. According to the unearthed cultural relics in gaokanlong, 4500 years ago, human beings were engaged in agriculture, fishing and hunting and primitive handicraft production here. Qin belonged to Qianzhong Prefecture, and later all the dynasties were under the jurisdiction of Prefecture, prefecture and county respectively.
On January 20, 1943, Huaihua was approved to build a county. Its territory was allocated by Zhijiang, Chenxi and Qianyang counties, with a total area of 1523.75 square kilometers. Luyang town was set up in the county.
On October 1, 1949, Huaihua was liberated. On November 1, the people's Government of Huaihua county was established, and the county government moved to Yushuwan Feishan temple.
On December 30, 1978, Huaihua town separated from Huaihua county and was directly under Huaihua administrative office.
On April 23, 1979, Huaihua town was abolished and Huaihua City was established. On March 7, 1983, Huaihua county was abolished and the county and city were merged.
On November 29, 1997, with the approval of the State Council, Huaihua Prefecture and county-level Huaihua City were abolished and prefecture level Huaihua City was established. The former county-level Huaihua City was divided into Hecheng district and Zhongfang county.
In February 1998, China officially established the county, which is the youngest County in the Republic of China.

On November 29, 1997, the State Council approved (Guo Han No. 105): to abolish Huaihua Prefecture and county level Huaihua City and establish prefecture level Huaihua City.
