Zhijiang Zhijiang City is a county-level city under the administration of Yichang City, Hubei Province. It is located on the North Bank of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and the west edge of Jianghan Plain. It is adjacent to Dangyang city in the north, Yidu City in the southwest, and Yiting district and Yiling District in the Northwest. Historical evolution

As early as 6000 years ago, there were primitive agriculture and animal husbandry in Zhijiang area, and primitive social tribes formed.

In the Qing Dynasty, Zhijiang belonged to Jingzhou Prefecture of Hubei Province.
