Ruyang County Ruyang County is located in Funiu Mountain Area in the west of Henan Province and the upper reaches of BEIRU River, 74 kilometers away from Luoyang City. It is the birthplace of Dukang liquor, a famous liquor in Chinese history, and is known as the "hometown of wine ancestors".

Yiyang County was established in Tang Dynasty. Li Ruzhou. Later, Yiyang County was abolished.

Song County in the early Ming Dynasty. In the 12th year of Chenghua, Yiyang County was restored to the east of Song County and the west of Ruzhou.

From the Qing Dynasty to the beginning of the Republic of China, it was still under the jurisdiction of Ruzhou; because of its homonym with Yiyang County, it was changed to Ruyang County in 1959, so it was named because the county government was located in the north of Ruhe River.

Super molybdenum ore

After more than 20 years of continuous exploration, Donggou, Ruyang County, Henan Province, has recently discovered a super large molybdenum mine. Its reserves in 2006 ranked first in China, with a potential economic value of 280 billion yuan. Donggou molybdenum deposit is located in the East Qinling Dabieshan molybdenum metallogenic belt, 90 km away from Luoyang City. The second Geological Survey Institute of Henan Bureau of Geology and mineral resources has been engaged in geological work in this area since 1981. It has successively carried out 1:50000 regional geological survey, 1:50000 geochemical survey and geological survey, and carried out detailed survey and exploration from 2004 to 2005. The exploration results show that the reserve of the deposit is more than 700000 tons; the ore grade is rich, and the mineral processing index can reach the international special grade standard; the ore body is stable, with an average thickness of 148.49 meters; the hydrogeological and engineering geological conditions are simple, and the water, electricity and road conditions are good, which are very suitable for open-pit mining. At the same time, the molybdenum ore in this area is accompanied by magnetite, with a reserve of 13.21 million tons, equivalent to a medium-sized iron ore scale, which can be comprehensively recycled.

Medium sized coal mine

In 2006, Henan Second Geological Exploration Institute discovered a medium-sized coal mine with resources of more than 80 million tons in Siwan, Ruyang. It is understood that the coal mine has stable horizon, simple coal seam structure and buried depth of 360-790m, which is high-quality industrial coal.
