Shunping County, belonging to Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located in the west of Hebei Province and the western suburb of Baoding city. It is located on the connecting line between Taihang Mountains and North China Plain. The mountains, hills and plains are arranged in sequence from northwest to Southeast, with a total area of 712 square kilometers. It has a warm temperate monsoon continental climate, with an average annual temperature of 12.7 ℃ and an average annual precipitation of 511.7mm. In the fifth year of the first reign of emperor Ping in the Western Han Dynasty, Wang Mang changed Quni to Shunping County. In August 1993, with the approval of the State Council, Wan county was renamed Shunping County. By the end of 2019, Shunping County has jurisdiction over five towns and five townships. The county government is located at No. 3, Ping'an Street, Puyang Town, with a permanent resident population of 300200, with an urbanization rate of 38.47%.

History of construction
In the Xia and Shang Dynasties, Shunping County is now a state of Marquises, all of which are in the territory of Anyang township.
During the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period, the county was set up, and the famous Quni county was governed by Dawang and Zicheng, belonging to the state of Yan. Since then, due to the crisscross battles and the change of dynasties, the names of counties have changed frequently, which are called counties, armies and prefectures.
In the fifth year of the first reign of emperor Ping in the Western Han Dynasty, Wang Mang changed Quni to Shunping County. After Liu Xiu established the political power of the Eastern Han Dynasty, he changed Shunping County into Quni county.
In the second year of Zhanghe (88), Quni county was changed into Puyin county.
In 232, the sixth year of Weitaihe in the Three Kingdoms period, Puyin still belonged to Zhongshan state.
In the Western Jin Dynasty, Puyin county belongs to Zhongshan County of Jizhou. Xianning three years (277), Zhongshan Jun Sheng state, Puyin county is Jizhou Zhongshan state.
In 556, Puyin county was changed into Beiping County, and the county seat was still in the area of Dawang and Zicheng.
In 583, Peiping county was changed to Dingzhou. In 586, Wangdu county was established in Beiping county. In the early years of Daye, Wangdu county was merged into Beiping county. In the third year of Daye (607), the county was established at the beginning, and Beiping county was changed to Boling county.
In 736, the county was moved to Puyang town.
After the Five Dynasties, in the third year of Changxing (932), Beiping county was renamed Yanping county and later belonged to Yizhou.
Beiping army was set up in the Northern Song Dynasty, Yongping County was set up in the early Jin Dynasty. In 1042, Beiping county was changed into Beiping army. At the end of the Northern Song Dynasty, the state of Jin occupied Beiping county and changed it into Yongping County.
In 1214, Yongping County was promoted to Wanzhou.
In Yuan Dynasty, Wanzhou belonged to Baoding Road, Zhongshu province. In the second year of Zhiyuan Dynasty (1265), Wanzhou was reduced to a county and renamed Yongping County. Soon, it was upgraded to Wanzhou and changed to Zhending road. In 1274, the state was changed to shun Tian Road. In 1275, Shuntian road was renamed Baoding Road, and Wanzhou belonged to Baoding road.
In the first year of Hongwu (1368) of Ming Dynasty, Baoding road was changed to Fu, and Wanzhou belonged to Baoding Fu. In the second year of Hongwu (1369), Wanzhou was demoted to Wanxian, and this name continued until after liberation.
In the Qing Dynasty, Wan County belonged to Baoding Prefecture of Zhili Province.
In 1928, Zhili Province was renamed Hebei Province, and WAN county was directly under Hebei Province.
On August 1, 1949, the people's Government of Hebei Province was established. Wanxian county belongs to Baoding special district of Hebei Province.
From 1958 to 1961, due to the continuous adjustment of the division, it was once called wanman County, Wanxian district and Qingyuan County.
In December 1961, the county system was restored.
In 1970, Baoding district was changed to Baoding district, and WAN County belonged to Baoding district.
In August 1993, with the approval of the State Council, Wan county was renamed Shunping County.
