In the first month of the eighth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1375), Lizhou was demoted to Lixian. In 1958, Li county was merged into Gaoyang County. In the Eastern Han Dynasty, Lucheng County of Shandong Province entered Liwu County, where it was governed by Li Village (originally Li Village) of Boye county. In the first year of the Qing Dynasty (146), it analyzed the reason of Liwu County, and Lucheng county was established as Boling county.
During the Wei period of the Three Kingdoms, Boling county was changed into Bolu county.
