Yinan County, belonging to Linyi City, Shandong Province, is located in the middle of Shandong Province, adjacent to Ju county in the East, Mengyin in the west, urban area in the South and Yishui in the north. Yinan is the birthplace and ancestral home of Zhuge Liang and Yan Zhenqing. There are many cultural relics, historic sites and cultural landscapes in the territory. According to historical records, "Yangdu, the upper reaches of Linyi, is the capital of Yangdu, the capital of Linyi, where heroes and sages come forth in large numbers, and the victory of Yanshui lies in the south of the Yangtze River.". During the revolutionary war, the first provincial democratic regime led by the Communist Party of China was born in Yinan. In the Xia Dynasty (21st century bc-16th century BC), today Yinan belongs to Dongyi.
Shang Dynasty (16th century B.C. - 1027 B.C.), now Yinan belongs to the people.
During the Western Zhou Dynasty (1027-221 B.C.), the western part of the territory belongs to the state of Lu, and the eastern part belongs to the state of Ju. In the spring and Autumn period, part of the region was the state of Qi Zhiyang. During the Warring States period, after Chu destroyed Ju and Lu, the territory was owned by Chu and Qi. In 223 B.C., Qin destroyed Chu. Today, the eastern part of the territory belongs to the state of Qin, while the western part still belongs to the state of Qi.

In the Western Han Dynasty (206-25 BC), most of the territory today belongs to Chengyang state of Yanzhou: Yangdu County in the south, Dong'an County in the north, Ju county in the northeast and Lu County in the northwest. In the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220 years), most of the territory belongs to the langye state of the governor's Department of Xuzhou, including Yangdu, Dong'an, Juxian, Kaiyang, Linyi and other counties. A few of the territory belongs to Taishan County of the governor's Department of Yanzhou, Gaixian in the northwest and feiguo (Hou state, county level) in the southwest.
In the Wei Dynasty of the Three Kingdoms (220-265), most of the present territory belongs to Xuzhou: Yangdu county and Linyi County of langye state in the south, Dong'an County of Dongguan County in the north, Ju county of Chengyang County of Qingzhou in Hutou and puwang, and Fei County and Hua county of Taishan County of Yanzhou in the southwest.
Jin and sixteen states (265-420), the Western Jin Dynasty, most of the current territory belongs to the state of Langxie in Xuzhou: the central area of the current territory is Yangdu and Dong'an counties, and a few areas in the South belong to Hua county, Fei County and Linyi County. The Northeast belongs to Ju county, Chengyang County, Qingzhou. Since the second year of Xianhe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (327), it has belonged to the later Zhao, the former Yan, the former Qin, the later Yan, the Southern Yan and other countries successively, and the Administrative Region Establishment followed the Western Jin system.
During the southern and Northern Dynasties (420-581) and the Southern Dynasties (Liu and Song dynasties), the present territory is divided into Fagan County, Dong'an County, Ju county, Dongguan county and Fei County, langye county. In the Northern Wei Dynasty, the fourth year of Yanhe (435) belonged to Fagan County, Dong'an County, East Xuzhou, Ju county, Dongguan County, and langye County, North Xuzhou, namely Qiu county, Linyi County, and Fei County. Most of the area is Fagan county. In 498, East Xuzhou was renamed South Qingzhou. After 534, most of the area belongs to Dongguan County of Southern Qingzhou in Eastern Wei Dynasty, and after 572, it belongs to Dong'an County of Southern Qingzhou in Northern Qi Dynasty.
Sui Dynasty (581-618) and kaihuang three years (583) abolished the county and established the state. Today, the territory is divided into Dongguan county and Ju county of Ju state, Linyi County and Fei County of Yi state. In 584 (the fourth year of kaihuang), Dongguan county was renamed Dong'an County. In 596, Dongan County was renamed Yishui County. In the third year of Daye (607), the Prefecture was changed into a county. Now it belongs to Yishui, Linyi, Juxian and Feixian counties of langye county.
In the Tang Dynasty (618-907), Yizhou was set up in the fourth year of Wude (621). It is now in the south of the territory and is under the jurisdiction of Linyi and Feixian. The next year, the central area of this territory belongs to Juzhou: most of it belongs to Yishui County, and the eastern part belongs to Juxian County. In 634, Juzhou was abolished, Yishui County was changed to Yizhou (Langxie county), and the eastern part was changed to Mizhou (Gaomi County) with Juxian. Yizhou and Mizhou belong to Henan Province. In the Five Dynasties (907-960), the establishment of administrative districts basically followed the Tang system. After the Liang, Tang, Jin, Han, Zhou, this territory belongs to Yizhou, Yishui and other counties.
The Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127) belonged to Jingdong East Road. Most of them belong to Yizhou: today, the central area of Yishui County, and the South belongs to Linyi County and Feixian County. The East belongs to Ju county of Mizhou.
In the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279) and the sixth year of jintianhui (since 1128), the current territory belongs to Juzhou (most of them belong to Yishui County, and the East belongs to Juxian) and Yizhou (qingtuo area belongs to Linyi County and Feixian). In 1130, Jin established Liu Yu as the emperor of Qi. In 1137, Liu Yu was abolished and now belongs to Jin Dynasty. In 1218, Li Quan, the leader of the first red coat army, joined the Southern Song Dynasty. The next year, Li Quan conquered Qing, Ju and other prefectures, and now it belongs to Jingdong road in the Southern Song Dynasty. In the third year of song Baoqing (1227), Li Quan descended to Mongolia. Today, his territory belongs to Yuan Dynasty.
Yuan Dynasty (1206-1368), which belongs to Yishui County, Ju county and Linyi County, Fei County of Juzhou, Yidu Road, xuanweisi, Dongxi Road, Shandong Province, Zhongshu province. Today, most of the territory belongs to Yishui County, Ju county in the East, Linyi County in the south, and Fei County in the west of qingtuo town.
Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and the first year of Hongwu (1368), the present territory is under the jurisdiction of Ju Zhou, Qingzhou Prefecture, Shandong Province, and Yi Zhou, Jining Prefecture: most of it belongs to Yishui County, Ju Zhou in the East, Yi Zhou in the south of zhuanbu town and most of Qingtuo Town, and Fei County in the West. In the ninth year of Hongwu Period (1376), Shandong Province was changed into Shandong Chengshi. Yizhou was changed to Jinan government in 1372, Qingzhou government in 1374 and Yanzhou government from 1385 to the end of Ming Dynasty.
Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), in the early Qing Dynasty, this territory belongs to Ju Zhou, Qingzhou Prefecture, Shandong Province, and Yi Zhou, Yanzhou Prefecture, Shandong Province. In 1724, Yizhou was promoted to Zhili. In 1734, Yizhou was promoted as a prefecture, with guolanshan County attached to it, and Juzhou and Yishui, Rizhao and Mengyin counties attached to it. Yongzheng 13 years (1735 years), cut Ju state led three counties. Up to now, most of the territory belongs to Yishui County, yangjiaguanzhuang and yaojiaguanzhuang in Hutou, puwang and Sucun towns, Caijiawa, gaojiatun and lijiatun in Xinji Town, huangjiatun in Gegou town belongs to Juzhou, most of qingtuo town and some villages in Gegou, zhuanbu and shuanghou towns belong to Lanshan County, and Feixian County belongs to the west of qingtuo town.
The administrative divisions of the Republic of China (1912-1949) and the first year of the Republic of China (1912) followed the old system of the late Qing Dynasty. In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), the government and prefecture were abolished and the Taoist system was adopted. Today, it belongs to Yishui County, Juxian County, Lanshan county and Feixian County of Dainan road. That year, Lanshan county was renamed Linyi County. In 1914, Dainan road was renamed Jining road. In 1925, the territory belongs to Langya road. In 1928, all counties were directly under Shandong Province. In 1936, each county belonged to the office of the third district administrative inspector of Shandong Province. After the Lugouqiao Incident in 1937, it belonged to Yishui County, Juxian County, Linyi County and Feixian County. In 1947, it belonged to Yishui, Juxian, Linyi and Feixian counties. In 1948, the whole territory of Yinan was liberated.
The people's Republic of China (founded on October 1, 1949) belongs to Yimeng special office of Central South Shandong administrative office in October 1949. In May 1950, it belongs to Yishui district. In August 1953, it belonged to Linyi district. In November 1958, Yinan county was abolished and its jurisdiction was merged into four counties, including Yishui, Linyi, Mengyin and Juxian. It was restored in August 1961 (approved by the State Council in July) and belongs to Linyi special area. In 1967, it belonged to Linyi area.
