Suixian suixian is subordinate to Suizhou City, Hubei Province. It is located in the north of Hubei Province, at the south foot of Tongbai mountain, the west end of Dabie Mountain and the northeast of Dahong mountain. It is adjacent to Zengdu District of Suizhou City, Guangshui city and Xinyang City of Henan Province in the East, Zaoyang City and Yicheng city in the west, Anlu, Jingshan, Zhongxiang and other counties and cities in the south, and Tongbai County in Henan Province in the north. It is an important town in Northern Hubei.
Suixian county has a total land area of 5673 square kilometers and a total population of 1.06 million in 2017. The county government is located in Lishan town.
In 2016, suixian county's GDP was 19.328 billion yuan, the total output value of scale industry was 45.639 billion yuan, the added value of scale industry was 11.522 billion yuan, the total retail sales of social consumer goods was 12.924 billion yuan, and the local public budget revenue was 1.047 billion yuan.

Historical evolution
Sui county is named after Sui, which was granted the state of Western Zhou Dynasty. It belonged to Sui, Li and Tang in the spring and Autumn period, and Chu in the Warring States period.
In 221 B.C., Qin destroyed six countries, unified the whole country, and implemented the system of dividing prefectures and counties. On the land of the ancient Sui state, Sui County was established under the jurisdiction of Nanyang County.
In 535, Suizhou was first set up in the first year of Datong in the Western Wei Dynasty, but the system of suixian County remained for a long time. Suixian county system still existed in Sui, Tang, song, yuan and Ming Dynasties, and Suizhou was set up in the Qing Dynasty.
In 1911, the system of suixian county was restored. It belongs to Xiaogan district.
In 1952, it belonged to Xiangyang District.
In 1970, it belonged to Xiangyang area.
On November 16, 1979, the State Council approved the establishment of Suizhou city at the county level.
On August 19, 1983, with the approval of the State Council, the former suixian county was abolished and the administrative region of suixian county was merged into Suizhou city at the county level.
In 1994, the Hubei provincial government changed Suizhou City from Xiangfan City to a province directly under the central government.
In 2000, Suizhou City directly under the provincial government at the county level was abolished and Suizhou city at the prefecture level was established. The former administrative region of Suizhou city at the county level was Zengdu district.
In 2009, suixian county was re established with the approval of the State Council, that is, 19 townships were set up in Zengdu District of Suizhou City (where the municipal government is located), and the county seat is located in Lishan town.
On June 25, 2000, the State Council approved the abolition of Suizhou City directly under the provincial government at the county level and the establishment of Suizhou city at the prefecture level. Zengdu district is set up in Suizhou City, and the former county-level administrative region of Suizhou city is the administrative region of Zengdu district. In May 2009, the State Council approved the establishment of suixian County, with some towns in Zengdu District of Suizhou City as its administrative region; on July 29, suixian county was officially established.
In 2005, Yanzihe Township and tianhekou Township were abolished and merged into Yindian town; fengjiang township was abolished and merged into Lishan town; Shuanghe town was abolished and merged into Hongshan Town; new town was abolished and merged into the jurisdiction of Wanhe Town, and the town government was stationed in Wanhe (ejiangfa No. 12); in the same year, Xindong and Xinzhong villages of Yindian town were put under the jurisdiction of WanDian town (ejiangfa No. 66). In 2007, Wanfu town was set up, with the former wanfudian farm area as the administrative area of Wanfu Town, and the town government stationed in wanfudian (e civil affairs FA No. 15).
In 2009, suixian county was established, including Lishan, Gaocheng, Yindian, Caodian, Xiaolin, Huaihe, Wanhe, Wushan, Tangxian, Shangshi, Xinjie, Anju, Shutan, Hongshan, Changgang, sanligang, Liulin, Junchuan and Wanfu. Suixian people's government is located in Lishan town.
