Yongxiu County, subordinate to Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the north of Jiangxi Province, south of Jiujiang City, Nanchang City in the south, Poyang Lake in the East, Yunju mountain in the west, Lushan City, Gongqing City, De'an County and Wuning County in the north, water area of Duchang County, Jing'an County of Yichun City in the west, Anyi county and Xinjian District of Nanchang City in the south. Historical evolution

Yongxiu was called Aidi in ancient times, and Qin belonged to Jiujiang county.

In the sixth year of emperor Gaozu of Han Dynasty (201 BC), Haihun county was established. (the county is located 1km northwest of Lutan, Wucheng town)

In the second year of Yuanjia (425) of the Southern Song Dynasty, Jianchang County was divided into haihun and Jianchang counties, and the county government was set up near the present aicheng street; in the third year of Chen Yongding (559), five counties, Jianchang, AI, Yuning and Xinwu, were set up as Yuning county.

In the ninth year of kaihuang (589), Yongxiu, Yuning, Xinwu and AI counties entered Jianchang. At the beginning of Daye, Jianchang was restored to Yuzhang county.

In the early years of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, Jianchang County was called Jianchang County, belonging to Nankang Prefecture. In August 1361, Nankang road was changed into Xining mansion. In April of the next year, it was renamed Nankang mansion. Jianchang belongs to Nankang Prefecture.

During the Qing Dynasty, Jianchang County belonged to Nankang Prefecture.
