Lingdong District, Lingdong district is subordinate to Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province. It is located 9 kilometers south of Jianshan district where Shuangya municipal government is stationed. It is less than 500 kilometers away from Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang Province. It borders Shuangyashan farm in the northeast, Jixian County in the northwest, Huanan county and Baoqing County in the south, and Jianshan mountain in the north. It is located in low mountains and hills with undulating terrain, high in the West and low in the East. It lives at the northern foot of Wanda mountain, with an average altitude of 360 meters. The total urban area is 802 square kilometers.
Historical evolution
During the period of the Republic of China, outcrop coal was found in the territory, so nearby miners came here to mine and established Fu'an mine, which successively formed settlements under the jurisdiction of the Fifth District of Fujin county.
After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, it was put under the jurisdiction of Jixian County in June 1946.
In July 1947, Shuangyashan Mining Bureau was established in Lingdong and moved to Jianshanzi in September 1949. In July 1954, it was under the jurisdiction of Shuangyashan Mining Area, and Lingdong District Office was established.
In July 1956, after the Shuangyashan Mining Area was changed into a city, Lingdong sub district office was set up.
In April 1959, it was renamed Lingdong economic zone.
