Zhouning County Zhouning county (formerly belonging to Ningde County of Funing prefecture) is located in the northeast of Fujian Province, between 26 ° 53 ′ - 27 ° 19 ′ N and 119 ° 06 ′ - 119 ° 29 ′ E. It is adjacent to Fu'an in the East, Zhenghe in the west, Shouning in the north, Ningde in the southeast and Pingnan across the river in the southwest. The total land area is 1047.1 square kilometers. Located in the eastern foot of Jiufeng Mountain range, the terrain inclines from northwest to Southeast, with an average altitude of 800 meters. The county is more than 880 meters above sea level, ranking the first in the province, known as the "Pearl of high mountains".
Zhouning County governs 147 administrative villages (communities) in 6 towns and 3 townships. The county people's government is located at 32 Beimen Road, Shicheng Town. By the end of 2018, there were 123000 permanent residents in the county.
There are 18 main streams in Zhouning County, and the longest stream in Longting river is 56 km long. The main scenic spots include national AAAA scenic spot, national scenic spot, liyuxi Jiulonghe, the fourth core Park of Ningde World Geopark, Chenqiao, Dishuiyan, Qinshan lake, Guanshan, Houlong Grand Canyon, bat cave, Shimen mountain, Xianfeng mountain, Lingfeng temple and Fangguang temple. 302 provincial road and Ningwu Expressway run through the county, quning railway passes through Zhouning, and stations are set up in Xiancun Town. Zhouning county has a mid subtropical monsoon mountain climate with long winter and short summer, abundant rainfall, average annual temperature of 14.6 ℃, annual precipitation of 2069 mm, known as "natural air conditioning city". Evolution of organizational system
Zhouning county was a place of seven Fujian provinces in ancient times. The spring and Autumn Period belonged to Yue and the Warring States period to Chu. Qin belongs to Minzhong county.
The Western Han Dynasty was Minyue state, and the Eastern Han Dynasty was Kuaiji county. The Three Kingdoms belong to Wu Jian'an county. Jinnan Dynasty belongs to Wenma county.

In 933, it belonged to Ningde county. In the early Song Dynasty, it belonged to dongyangli, Qingtian township.
In the 35th year of Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty (1556), dongyanghang county was established, and Ningde county was in charge of collecting taxes.
In the 13th year of Yongzheng (1735) of the Qing Dynasty, dongyangli was divided into 15 to 18 cities, and Dongyang county was set up, which was under the jurisdiction of Ningde County governor. In the 33rd year of Guangxu (1907), it was under the jurisdiction of county assistant.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Dongyang county was replaced by Ningde county.

On August 1, 1945, Zhouning county was established and named after zhoudun and Ningde. The county is located in Shicheng, covering an area of 639.6 square kilometers. It is under the jurisdiction of the eighth administrative supervision district (renamed as the first administrative supervision district in April of 1949).
In September 1948, 127.7 square kilometers of xixianshan Township in Ningde county were under the jurisdiction of Zhouning County, and the area of the whole county increased to 767.3 square kilometers.
On June 28, 1949, Zhouning was peacefully liberated; on September 1, the people's democratic government of Zhouning county was established; on November 12, the people's Government of Zhouning county was established, under the office of Fuan commissioner.
In September 1955, Shouning County designated the Sixth District (11 administrative villages in today's Chunchi Township and Siqiao township) with a jurisdiction area of 278.7 square kilometers, which was under the jurisdiction of Zhouning county. The area of the whole county increased to 1046 square kilometers.
Since July 1970, it has been under the jurisdiction of Ningde prefecture (now Ningde City).
On November 14, 1999, with the approval of the State Council, Ningde Municipal People's government was established and officially listed on November 14, 2000.

The crustal structure profile in Fujian Province is the result of the occurrence, development and evolution of the crustal structure. It has experienced three development stages: Late Proterozoic Early Paleozoic geosyncline evolution stage, Late Devonian Middle Triassic paraplatform stage, Late Triassic Cenozoic active belt near the Pacific continental margin, forming the basic structural pattern that Zhouning Hua'an volcanic basement fault uplift belt runs through the central and eastern part of the county, and Pingnan Meilin fault depression belt passes through the western part of Chunchi and Siqiao line .
The upper Jurassic Nanyuan formation Lower Cretaceous Shimaoshan group and Yanshanian granite are widely exposed in the Zhouning Hua'an fault uplift belt. The basement strata are exposed with Upper Sinian Lower Paleozoic granulite, gneiss and amphibolite schist. The Pingnan Meilin fault depression belt is mainly composed of Upper Jurassic Bantou formation, Nanyuan formation and lower Cretaceous Shimaoshan group, with less magmatic intrusion. The structural traces in the two belts are mainly in the form of faults, and fold structures are not developed. The fault structure is mainly NE trending, followed by NW trending, and a small amount of EW and Sn trending. The NE trending faults are mostly compression torsion faults with dip angle of 70-80 degrees, length of 6-16 kilometers, width of tens of centimeters to 20 meters, including Chunchi fault, daguoyang fault, xiaoguoyang fault, Makeng fault, etc.; the NW trending faults are torsion compression torsion faults with dip angle of several hundred meters to 6 Gongli, including Xiancun fault, Hexi fault, Siqiao fault, etc.; the EW and NS trending faults are relatively small It is rare. The East-West faults include sanmenqiao fault and Guansi fault. There are Shouzhang fault and Zhangyuan fault in the north-south direction.
