Changting County Changting County (Tingzhou Fucheng), referred to as "ting", belongs to Fujian Province. It is the location of Tingzhou city in the Central Soviet Area and the place where the red flag jumps over the Tingjiang River. It is located in the west of Fujian Province, at the southern foot of Wuyi Mountains, adjacent to Guangdong Province in the South and Jiangxi Province in the West. It has been known as the "west gate of Fujian Province" since ancient times.
Changting was called Tingzhou in the calendar. It was established as a county in the Han Dynasty. Since it was established in the 24th year of Kaiyuan in the Tang Dynasty, it has become one of the five major prefectures, seven Fujian regions and eight Fujian prefectures in Fujian. For more than 1000 years since the prosperous Tang Dynasty, Changting has been the seat of state, county, road and government, and the scientific and educational cultural center of "Hakka culture (Minxi) ecological protection experimental zone".
Changting, also known as Tingzhou Prefecture, is the first city where Hakkas live together and is known as the "Hakka capital of the world". Changting is also the third batch of national historical and cultural cities approved by the State Council (1994) and the first Hakka food town in China (2004) issued by the China Cuisine Association. It enjoys the titles of "famous food city in Fujian", "hometown of the Red Army" and "little red Shanghai".
Changting integrates human landscape and natural landscape, and is honored as "the most beautiful mountain city in China" by Louis Ailey, the "top ten international friends of China". In 2012, it won the title of "China's top ten ancient towns with the most cultural heritage". Changting has become the first batch of "green water and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains" practice and innovation bases in China, the first batch of national ecological civilization construction demonstration cities (counties), and the only county (city) in Fujian Province that has won these two titles (Awards) at the same time. In March 2018, it became the first batch of cities to pass the national pilot acceptance of water ecological civilization construction. Changting has a long history. According to archaeological findings, there were human activities in the Paleolithic period, and in the Neolithic period, the ancient min people flourished here. Historically, it is the seat of the state, county, road and government, and the capital of Hakka in Fujian Province. "The market is prosperous, not less than that of Jiangsu and central Zhejiang". It used to be the political, military, economic and cultural center of Western Fujian, and also the birthplace of Hakka culture.
According to the summary of history reading Fang Yu, Changting County was established in the Tang Dynasty. "All the waters in the world are in the East, but tingshui is only in the south, and Dingwei is in the south." The name of the county comes from Changting village. Changting village is named after Changting river.
In 282 (the third year of Taikang in the Western Jin Dynasty), Xinluo county was established.
In 736 (the 24th year of Kaiyuan in Tang Dynasty), Fujian economic and strategic envoys Kaifu and Fuzhou set up Tingzhou in the cave, and Changting County in Changting village, jiulongshuiyuan, belonging to Tingzhou. In 742 (the first year of Tianbao), Tingzhou was changed to linting county. In 758 (the first year of Qianyuan), it was renamed Tingzhou. At that time, the county government was attached to the state, and then moved to dongfangkou (the first year of Song Dynasty), and the county government was still attached to the state. 769 (the fourth year of Dali). In 893 (the second year of Jingfu), Wang chaoke lived in Fuzhou. After he left, Changting County belonged to Wang Chao. In 909 (the third year of Kaiping in the Later Liang Dynasty), Chaodi tried him as the king of Fujian. In 933 (the fourth year of Changxing in the later Tang Dynasty), King Yangou of Fujian became emperor and changed the Yuan Dynasty to Longqi. Changting county still belonged to Fujian. In 943 (the fifth year of Fujian Yonglong), Wang Yanzheng, the king of Fujian's rich sand, became emperor in Jianzhou. His name was Yin. In 944 (the second year of Tiande), Changting County belonged to Yin. In 945 (the third year of Tiande), Yin died, and Changting County belonged to the Southern Tang Dynasty. In 1398 (the first year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty), Tingzhou road was changed to Tingzhou Prefecture. In 1399 (the second year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty), Zhongshu province of Fujian Construction Bank was established, and Changting County belonged to Zhongshu province of Fujian Construction Bank. In 1407 (the ninth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty), he was transferred to Zhongshu Province as Chengxuan political secretary, and Changting County as Chengxuan political secretary of Fujian Province. The system of Ming Dynasty was adopted in Qing Dynasty. Changting County has always been Tingzhou, county, road, government county.
In 1913 (the second year of the Republic of China), the abandoned government was established. Changting county belongs to tingzhangdao, Fujian Province. In March 1929, the Red Army entered Changting and established Changting County Revolutionary Committee, which was the first Red County regime in Western Fujian and southern Jiangxi. The Soviet government was in tufang, which belonged to the Western Fujian Soviet government. In October 1931, the Soviet government of Tingzhou was established in Chengguan. In December, Xinting county was built in Nanyang, Caixi, Tongxian, shexin, tufang, Zhongwu village, Shuikou, Sanzhou, zhuotan and other districts, with the county government in zhuotan. Taking Hetian, Sidu, Gucheng, Changting Fucheng, Tingdong, Tongfang, Zhangdi and other places as Changting County, the county government is located in Hetian. In March 1932, the Soviet government of Fujian Province was established in Tingzhou city; at the same time, Xinting county was abolished. Caixi and Tongxian belong to Shanghang County, Nanyang to Xinquan County, and the rest to Changting County. In October, Tingdong county was set up in front of the museum in the northeast part of Changting County; in September 1933, Zhaozheng county was set up in the northeast part of Changting County near Tingzhou city. The county was governed by a provincial Soviet government, all of which belonged to Fujian Provincial Soviet government.
In November 1934, the Red Army made a strategic shift and withdrew from the Central Soviet area. Changting County was again under the jurisdiction of the national government and changed to the Republic of China. It is still collectively known as Changting County, which is subordinate to the office of the administrative inspector of the eighth District of Fujian Province. The next year, it was transferred to the seventh district of the province and the PLA took over Changting County. On the 18th, Changting County People's government was established, which is subordinate to the office of the eighth district administrative inspector of Fujian Province. From 1951 to 1997, it was under the jurisdiction of Longyan District Commissioner's office. From May 1997 to December 2008, it was subordinate to Longyan city.

When it was established, the county borders Sha county in the East, Yudu County in Jiangxi Province in the west, Longyan County in the southeast, Qianhua County in Jiangxi Province in the northwest, Ninghua County in the northeast, Haiyang county and Chengxiang County in Guangdong Province in the southwest, including Changting County, Wuping County, Shanghang County, Liancheng County and the southwest part of Qingliu. The southwest is 255 Li from Wuping County, bounded by 105 Li from huanggongling (now huangwenling); the northwest is 80 Li from Ruijin County, Jiangxi Province, bounded by 60 Li from shinaoling (now Liuyang). From the northwest to Shicheng County, Jiangxi Province, it is bounded by Jigong, Tiechang Township and guofengao, 53 li away from Ting. After yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, there was no change. In 1939, Tiechang Township, a southeast enclave of the county, was designated as Shanghang County, 19 km in length and 32 km in width. Then the land was compiled and checked, and the East-West distance of the county was 60 kilometers, the North-South distance was 86 kilometers, and the week distance was 320 kilometers. It covers an area of 3934.9 km. The area ranks first in the province.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, in April 1951, Sibao district and Luofang were divided into Liancheng County, covering an area of 144.6 square kilometers. In March 1956, Xuanhe district was planned to be Liancheng County, covering an area of 100.42 square kilometers. In January 1958, Sanping district was divided into Shanghang and Liancheng counties, with a width of 15 km from east to west and a distance of 47.5 km from south to north. In the east of the county, baishaling, songmaoling, Madang and guanyinshi of Tongfang Township, Nanshan Township and Liancheng County are at the junction; meiziling of Sidu Township in the west is at the junction of Ruijin County of Jiangxi Province; longshanting of Xuancheng Township in the south is at the junction of Shanghang County; Dabeishan of Anjie Township in the north is at the junction of Ninghua County; daoou of tufang Township in the southeast is at the junction of Shanghang County; shishuiniu of Hongshan Township in the southwest is at the junction of Ruijin County of Jiangxi Province, Datuanao, Chitu village, borders Huichang County, Jiangxi Province; diaoziyan, Guanqian County, northeast, borders Ninghua County; Shizi, Tiechang Township, Jigong, Gucheng Township, northwest, borders Shizi, Tiechang Township, Ruijin Shicheng County, Jiangxi Province. The county is 66 Li wide from east to west, 80 km long from north to south, covering an area of 3099.52 square kilometers, making it the fifth largest county in the province.
The traffic distance from the county seat to Beijing is 2715 km, 480 km to Fuzhou, 171 km to Longyan and 383 km to Xiamen.
