Longwen District Longwen District, one of the core urban areas of Zhangzhou City, is subordinate to Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. It is adjacent to Xiangcheng District of Zhangzhou City in the west, Taiwan investment zone of Zhangzhou City in the East, Changtai District in the north and Longhai District in the south. It was founded in 1996. With a total area of 126 square kilometers, it governs one town and five streets, with a permanent population of 195000 (by the end of 2018). In 2019, Longwen district will achieve a GDP of 36.135 billion yuan.
Longwen district is a national ecological civilization area, an important material distribution center in Southeast Fujian, a new business center in Zhangzhou City, and a famous hometown of overseas Chinese and ancestral home of Taiwan compatriots in Fujian Province.
History of construction
Today, Longwen district belongs to Minzhong County in the Qin Dynasty, Kuaiji County in the first year of Yuanfeng (110 BC) in the Han Dynasty, Houguan County in Kuaiji County in the early years of Jian'an, Dongan County in Yangzhou in the third year of Wu Yong'an (260 BC) in the Three Kingdoms, and Jin'an County in the third year of Jin Taikang (282 BC). In 540, the sixth year of emperor Liangwu of the Southern Dynasty, Longxi County was set up, which was subordinate to Nan'an county and belonged to Longxi County. Sui Daye three years (607) belong to Jian'an County Longxi County. In the second year of Tang Dynasty (686), Zhangzhou was located in the south of Longxi County. In 946, Zhangzhou was renamed as Nanzhou, belonging to Longxi County.
In the fourth year of Qiande of Song Dynasty (966), Nanzhou was renamed Zhangzhou, which belonged to Longxi County of Zhangzhou.
In 1279, Zhangzhou was changed into Zhangzhou Road, belonging to Longxi County of Zhangzhou road.
In 1368, the first year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty, Zhangzhou road was changed into Zhangzhou Prefecture, which belonged to Longxi County of Zhangzhou Prefecture; in Qing Dynasty, it still belonged to Longxi County of Zhangzhou Prefecture.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Zhangzhou Prefecture was changed to the West Road of Fujian Province, which belongs to Longxi County and belongs to the Fourth District of Longxi County. In 1914, Xi Lu Road was changed to Ting Zhang road. In 1925, the road was abandoned and Longxi County was subordinate to Fujian Province. In 1933, Longxi County belonged to Longting province. In July 1934, Longxi belonged to the sixth Office of the Commissioner of administrative supervision. In October of the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935), the sixth administrative supervision office was changed to the fifth administrative supervision office, which still belongs to the Fourth District of Longxi County, with six joint guarantees of Xiubin, Fuxing, guanxia, Qiaotou, Jingdong and Aotou.
On September 19, 1949, Longxi County was liberated. On September 20 of the same year, Longxi County was liberated. Longwen district belongs to Longxi County People's Committee of PLA military control commission. In October of the same year, Longxi belonged to the sixth Office of administrative inspector general of Fujian Province, and Longwen district still belonged to Longxi County.
On April 1, 1950, Longwen District belonged to the Sixth District of Longxi County, Zhangzhou administrative inspector's office. In October of the same year, it was transferred to Longxi County, the regional Commissioner's office of Fujian Provincial People's government, and remained the Sixth District. In 1952, Xuantan palace, which was divided into six districts, belonged to the Tenth District, and the sixth and tenth districts of Longxi County. In 1956, it belonged to Dongyu District of Longxi County. In 1957, Dongyu district was renamed Dongshan District. In 1958, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged. In September of the same year, the township system was abolished and the satellite people's commune was established, which belongs to the satellite people's commune of Longxi County. In March 1959, Weixing people's commune was renamed as Buwen people's commune.
On August 15, 1960, the State Council approved the merger of Longxi County and Haicheng County into Longhai County, which belongs to the Buwen people's commune of Longhai county. In 1962, Guokeng people's commune was established by some brigades of jiebuwen commune, which belonged to Buwen commune and Guokeng commune in Longhai county.
In June 1967, Longwen district was under the military control committee of Longhai County, Longxi district.
In October 1980, the Revolutionary Committee of Longhai county was changed into the people's Government of Longhai county.
In June 1985, Longxi district was changed into Zhangzhou City, and Buwen and Guokeng belonged to Longhai County People's Government of Zhangzhou city.
In May 1993, Longhai county was removed from the county and built into a city, belonging to Buwen and Guokeng.
On May 31, 1996, with the approval of the State Council, Longwen District of Zhangzhou city was established under the jurisdiction of Zhangzhou city.
On January 1, 1997, Longwen District People's Government of Zhangzhou city was established.

In April 1968, the revolutionary committees of Buwen and Guokeng people's communes were established under the Revolutionary Committee of Longhai county.
In December 1980, the Revolutionary Committee of Buwen and Guokeng people's communes was changed into the Management Committee of Buwen and Guokeng people's communes. In October 1984, the Management Committee of Buwen and Guokeng people's communes was changed into the people's Government of Buwen Township and the people's Government of Guokeng town.
In December 1991, the Standing Committee of Longhai County People's Congress approved the abolition of Buwen Township and the establishment of Buwen town.
On May 31, 1996, the State Council approved the establishment of Longwen District of Zhangzhou City (Guo Han No. 38): six villages of Gutang, qunyong, Shimei, tahou, Tubai and xiazhou in Zhishan Town, Xiangcheng District, Zhangzhou city; six communities of Dongyue, Yuebei, Zhangtang, Dongguan, Nankeng and Yangyun in Nankeng street and Yangyun village in Nankeng street; the part of new Huadong community in the east of Xiangkou road; Guokeng town in Longhai City; and Longhai City The 31 villages of caibang, Xikeng, Xiaogang, Lantian, Wuqiao, Xiangqiao, Dashan, Hengkeng, qiaozitou, Qiling, Shuting, Shijing, zhentou, Dongyu, Buwen, Houban, Tianfeng, Tangbei, Banshang, Fumei, houdian, Liugang, wengjian, Dengke, Kekeng, Zhangbin, Shizhou, Pukou, Chaoyang and Wupu villages in Buwen town are under the jurisdiction of Longwen District in the northwest part of National Highway 324.
In March 1997, the original Buwen town was divided into Buwen Town, Lantian town and Chaoyang town.
On August 18, 2016, Longwen District abolished Buwen town and established Buwen street, taking the administrative area of the original Buwen town as the administrative area of Buwen street.
In December 2017, Buwen street of Longwen district was divided into Buwen street and Bihu street. In September 2019, Jingshan Street will be added in Longwen District, and Jingshan Street will be set up in 12 administrative areas, including Xikeng community, Wuqiao community, Pukou community, Tanxiang community, Yangguang community, Lijing community, Kekeng community, Zhangbin community, Zhangshan community, jiushizhou community, xinshizhou community and Chaoyang community.
In fact, the four village committees of Gutang, qunyong, Shiwei and tahou in Xiangcheng District, the six communities of Dongyue, Yuebei, Zhangtang, Dongguan, Nankeng and Yangyun, the eight neighborhood committees of Xiangkou street, including yuekou, Shengli East, Dongyuan, Xinmin, Xiangkou, Xingang, Xiapu and Xiadong, and the part of Yuanguang road to the east of xinhuadong neighborhood committee are still under the actual jurisdiction of Xiangcheng District, and Wupu village committee is in the State Council The northwest part of Road 324 is still under the jurisdiction of Longhai district.

Longwen district is located in the hinterland of Xiamen and Shantou special economic zones, 117 ° east longitude and 24 ° north latitude.
