Zhuozhou City, known as Zhuolu, Zhuoyi, Zhuozhou County, Fanyang, Zhuozhou Road, Zhuozhou County in ancient times. Baoding city of Hebei Province is in charge of county-level cities. It is located in the middle of Hebei Province, the north of Baoding City, the triangle of Beijing, Tianjin and Baoding, and the South Gate of Beijing. The geological structure belongs to Taihang mountain flood alluvial fan, with flat terrain and fertile soil. It is rich in water conservancy, geothermal and sand and stone resources. In ancient times, it was called "You Yan fertile soil" and "Du Kang Gao Yu".
Zhuozhou has a total area of 742.5 square kilometers. As of March 2019, the total household registered residence in Zhuozhou was 701 thousand and 500. Zhuozhou City has jurisdiction over three streets, 10 towns and one Township, as well as high-tech Industrial Development Zone and Jingnan economic development zone. The municipal government is located at 51 Fanyang West Road, Shuangta street.
On September 24, 1986, with the approval of the State Council, Zhuozhou county was abolished and Zhuozhou City (county-level city) was established. In 2008, Zhuozhou City was approved as a "provincial historical and cultural city" by the people's Government of Hebei Province. On December 6, 2019, Zhuozhou City was selected as one of the top 100 counties (cities) with investment potential in China in 2019.
In 2018, Zhuozhou's GDP reached 37.92 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.1%; among them, the added value of the primary industry was 2.18 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.5%; the added value of the secondary industry was 14.02 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.8%; the added value of the tertiary industry was 21.72 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.3%. The per capita GDP was 61054 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%.

ancient times
According to historical records, the Yellow Emperor Xuanyuan fought Chiyou in the field of Zhuolu in ancient times. Therefore, Zhuozhou has always been called "Zhuolu", or "Zhuozhou" for short.
Zhou Dynasty
At the beginning of the Western Zhou Dynasty (11th century BC), two kingdoms were granted in the north of Hebei Province, named Ji in the North (near Guang'anmen in Beijing), and Yan in the South (between dongjialin and Huangtupo, 2.4km northeast of Liulihe River in Beijing).
In the year of Yanxiang (about 657 BC), Yan destroyed thistle and moved its capital to thistle. Zhuo has always been the land of Yan.
Spring and Autumn period and Warring States Period
During the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period, Zhuozhou was the capital of Yan.
The Qin Dynasty
In the 23rd year of the reign of the king of Qin (224 BC), after the Qin Dynasty destroyed Yan, Zhuoyi county was established in Zhuoyi, which belongs to Guangyang county. The county government is in the present Zhuozhou City.
The Western Han Dynasty
In the sixth year of emperor Gaodi of Han Dynasty (201 BC), it was divided into the south of Guangyang County, the north of Julu County and a part of Hengshan County. County, county governance are in today's Zhuozhou City. Zhuo County governs 15 counties, including Zhuo county and Fanyang county (now Dingxing county and Gucheng town), and 7 Hou states. In the middle and later period of the Western Han Dynasty, it increased to 29 counties, and established 13 Marquis states in Zhuo county.
In the fifth year of the first Yuan Dynasty (44 BC), emperor yuan of the Han Dynasty set up the Marquis state of Xixiang in the northwest of Zhuo county (located in the west of Shangpo village, now xiahuliang township), and the Marquis state of Yangxiang in the northeast of Zhuo county (located in Chang'an City, now Dongyi Hezhuang township).
New dynasty
In the first year of the founding of the people's Republic of China (9 years), Wang Mang changed Zhuo county to Yuanhan County, Xixiang to Yifeng, and Zhuo County belonged to Yuanhan county.
Eastern Han Dynasty
In the first year of Jianwu (25th year) of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Yuanhan was rebuilt as Zhuo County, and another Hejian state was set up in the southern part of Zhuo county. The feudal state of the abandoned Xixiang was merged into Zhuoxian County, and the feudal state of the abandoned Yangxiang was merged into Fangcheng village, which is 10 kilometers southwest of today's Gu'an city.
In 188, Zhuoxian belonged to Youzhou.
three countries
In 224, Zhuo county was renamed Fanyang County, and its governing place was still Zhuo county.
In 226, the state of Fan Yang was abolished and renamed as Fan Yang county. It belongs to Youzhou, and Zhuoxian still belongs to it.
Weiming emperor Taihe six years (232), Youzhou governor from Ji moved to Zhuo. At this time, Zhuocheng was the county, county and prefecture level.
Jin dynasty
In 265, the first year of Taishi, Emperor Wu of the Western Jin Dynasty, Fanyang county was renamed Fanyang state. The governor of Youzhou moved back to thistle. In Yuanyang rural Hou country to build Changxiang County, belongs to Fanyang country.
In the Sixteen States of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Zhuo belonged to the later Zhao, the former Yan, the former Qin and the later Yan.
The southern and Northern Dynasties
In the early years of the Northern Wei Dynasty (386), the state of Fan Yang was changed into Fan Yang County, and Zhuoxian county was incorporated into the county.
In the seventh year of Tianbao in the Northern Qi Dynasty (556), two counties, Changxiang and Fangcheng, were abandoned and merged into Zhuoxian. Fanyang county only leads Zhuo County, Fanyang county and Qiu county.
In 580, Qiu county (now Laishui county) was abolished and Zhuoxian county was merged.
Sui Dynasty
In the first year of kaihuang (581), the original Qiu county in the west of Zhuo county was located in Fanyang County, belonging to Changli County (now Yi County).

In the ninth year of kaihuang (589), the original Fangcheng and Changxiang of Zhuo county were set up in Gu'an County.

In the first year of Wude (618), banzhuo county was renamed Youzhou.
In 624, Zhuo county was renamed Fanyang county. After an Shi rebellion, Fanyang county was also called Youzhou.

In the first year of Tianbao (724), the Prefecture was abolished and renamed as County, and Youzhou was renamed as Fanyang County, which is now Beijing.
In the second year of Jingyun (711), Jiedushi was set up. Fanyang county was subordinate to Fanyang county at the time of Kaibao. After an Shi rebellion, Fanyang county was renamed Youzhou.
In the fourth year of Dali (769), Zhuozhou was established in three counties of Fanyang, Guiyi and Gu'an in the south of Youzhou. At the same time, Xinchang County, Zhuozhou leading Fanyang and other four counties were added to the southwest of Gu'an.
In the sixth year of Taihe (832), most of the ancient Dukang areas in the southeast of Fanyang county were located in Xincheng County.
Five Dynasties and ten states
In the fourth year of Tiancheng in the later Tang Dynasty (929), Xinchang was abandoned and merged into the new city, and Zhuozhou governed five counties.
In the first year of Tianfu in the later Jin Dynasty (936), Shi Jingtang cut 16 prefectures of Yanyun to Qidan. Qidan promoted Youzhou to Youdu Prefecture. Since then, Fanyang County of Zhuozhou belonged to Liao Dynasty. Liao Dynasty established Yongtai army in Zhuozhou.
In the sixth year of Xiande (959) of the Later Zhou emperor Shizong, the Northern Expedition recovered the south part of Baigou, Guiyi County, Zhuozhou, and established another Guiyi county.
Song dynasty
In 1122, the fourth year of Xuanhe in Song Dynasty, Zhuozhou was recovered, and Fanyang County belonged to Zhuozhou on Yanshan Road;
In 1125, Zhuozhou and Fanyang county were occupied by Jin, and Fanyang County belonged to Zhuozhou, jinzhongdu road.
Liao Dynasty
In the 22nd year of Tonghe (1004), the Baigou river was the boundary of the song and Liao dynasties. After 118 years, Zhuozhou was the southern frontier of Liao, and the boundary between song and Liao was Zhuozhou until the end of Liao.
In the second year of Kaitai (1013), Youdu mansion was changed into Xijin mansion. Zhuozhou belongs to Nanjing daoxijin mansion.
In the second year of Baoda (1122), the song and Jin Dynasties united to destroy the Liao Dynasty. Guo Yaoshi, the general of Zhuozhou in the Liao Dynasty, descended to the Song Dynasty. Song Jianci was named "Zhuoshui county". Since the war of song and Jin Dynasties, Guo Yaoshi descended to the Jin Dynasty, and Fanyang County in Zhuozhou belonged to the Jin Dynasty.
Jin Dynasty
In the first year of Zhenyuan (1153), Yanjing was changed into the capital of Zhongdu and the capital of Guodu, and Xijin was changed into Daxing.
In the sixth year of Dading (1166), Dingxing county was located at the border of Laizhou, Yizhou and Rongzhou counties.
In the 29th year of Dading (1189), Fanyang, Liangxiang and Wanping were divided into three counties, and Wanning county (later renamed Fengxian and Fangshan in Yuan Dynasty) was set up, which belonged to Zhuozhou.
yuan dynasty
The Yuan Dynasty adopted the provincial system, which included roads, prefectures, prefectures and counties.
At the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty, Fanyang County of Zhuozhou was located in Dadu road of Zhongshu province.
In 1215, Zhuozhou was promoted to Zhuozhou Road, with jurisdiction over seven counties including Fanyang.
In 1263, Gu'an County was upgraded to a prefecture. Dingxing and Xincheng became subordinate to Xiongzhou. Zhuozhou only led Fanyang and Fangshan counties.

In the early years of Hongwu, Fanyang county was merged into Zhuozhou, and Dadu road was changed into Beiping mansion, which belongs to Beiping mansion.
In the second year of Hongwu (1369), Fanyang county was removed and merged into Zhuozhou, only one county in Fangshan.
In the first year of Yongle (1403), Beiping mansion was changed into shuntianfu, and Zhuozhou belonged to shuntianfu.
Qing Dynasty
In 1688, shuntianfu was divided into four halls, and Zhuozhou belonged to the West Hall of shuntianfu.
Yongzheng five years (1727), Fangshan County designated, Zhili in shuntianfu West Road hall, since then Zhuozhou no county.
Republic of China
In 1913, Zhuozhou was withdrawn and renamed Zhuozhou county.
In 1914, shuntianfu was renamed Jingzhao Special Administrative Region, and Zhuoxian county was subordinate to Jingzhao.
In 1928, the Northern Expedition army overthrew the Beiyang government, abolished Jingzhao, and established the special city of Beiping. All the counties under its jurisdiction were assigned to Hebei Province, implementing a two-level system of provinces and counties. Zhuo county was transferred to Hebei Province.
In 1936, Zhuo county was the second supervision district in Hebei Province.
In 1937, the Anti Japanese war broke out and Zhuoxian county was occupied by Japanese invaders.
In 1938, the government of Shanxi Chahar Hebei border region was established. In order to adapt to the Anti Japanese War, the pinghan railway occupied by the enemy was divided into administrative regions and set up administrative offices under the jurisdiction of special counties. Zhuoxian then divided into two parts. Luxi County government was established earlier, first named laizhuo County, including Eastern Laishui and Luxi County.
In 1941, Zhuo County, Fangliang county and Laishui county were called fanglaizhuo County, including the southern mountainous area of Fangshan.
