In the upper part of the Pleistocene, the lithology of the top is yellowish and variegated loam, which is hard and solid after drying, with smooth section, ferromanganese nodules and calcareous nodules, fissures, but not fully developed. The Holocene is divided into upper, middle and lower members. The buried depth of the lower Holocene roof is 18-24m and the thickness is about 20m. The top is gray black and purple gray sub clay, dense, hard after drying, fine particles, slightly slippery, undeveloped fissures, containing more humic matter, which may be weathering crust. This layer is the marker layer of the lower Holocene. The thickness of the single layer is 4-8 meters, more than 10 meters in some areas and only about 2 meters to the southeast. In the middle, it turns to grayish yellow sandy loam or silty sand, about 4 meters thick, and in the south, it thickens to 6-8 meters. Generally, there are many layers with unstable sedimentation, and most of them are interbedded with thin layers of silt, sub sand and sub clay. It is poor in sorting and contains calcareous nodules in sandy loam, which is the boundary marker layer between Holocene and Pleistocene.

According to the geomorphological origin, it can be divided into denudation accumulation river plain and the latest flood zone. The erosional accumulation plain is widely distributed in the Hejian area. It is composed of bluish yellow variegated loam. There is about 50 cm black weathering crust on the top. The surface is flat, and the terrain is gently inclined from northwest to Southeast. The green yellow variegated loam is obviously eroded and falls off along the fissures in a block shape. The eroded loam fragments are deposited nearby or elsewhere.
