Wulong District, Chongqing Municipality

Wulong district is located in the southeast of Chongqing, 107 ° 14 '~ 108 ° 05' e and 29 ° 02 '~ 29 ° 40' n. It is located in the lower reaches of Wujiang River, Wuling Mountain and Dalou mountain gorge in the southeast of Chongqing. There are "World Natural Heritage" karst Furong cave and "national 5A scenic spot" tianshengsanqiao.

As of April 2020, Wulong area was 2901.3 square kilometers, 4 streets, 10 towns, 12 townships, and 411487 registered residence population. There are 13 ethnic groups, including Han, Miao, Tujia and Gelao. Chongqing will build "one belt, one road, film and television creative cultural industry city" in Wulong district. China (Wulong) cultural and creative industry park is located in Wulong, Chongqing.

Wulong district is a civilized unit in the national transportation industry, and has won the honorary titles of "pollution-free agricultural products producing area county", "2012 China's top ten sports marketing cities" and "China's outdoor sports base". In 2016, Wulong was awarded the "China sustainable development city model award" by the United Nations. In November 2016, it was selected by the National Tourism Administration as the second batch of "national global tourism demonstration zones" in China. In November 2018, Wulong tourism won "China's top ten Tourism Management Innovation Awards". On December 12, 2018, it was named as the second batch of "green water and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains" practice and innovation bases. Historical evolution

In the Zhou and spring and Autumn Periods, Wulong was a territory of Ba state and Zhixian County in the Warring States period. During the Qin and Han Dynasties, it was under the jurisdiction of Zhixian county and subordinate to Bajun county. In the Eastern Jin Dynasty, in 347, Hanping county was merged into Zhixian county. In the southern and Northern Dynasties, Hanping county was restored from the Southern Qi Dynasty to the Northern Zhou Dynasty, and it was subordinate to Fuling county.

In the Song Dynasty, the first year of Xuanhe of Huizong (1119), it was renamed Zhixian county. In the first year of Shaoxing, Emperor Gaozong of the Southern Song Dynasty (1131), his name was changed.

In the Ming Dynasty, Wulong county was merged into Pengshui County in 1377. Hongwu 13 years (1380) restoration, changed "long" to "long", renamed Wulong County, under the Sichuan Chengxuan political secretary Fuzhou.

In the Qing Dynasty, in the first year of Emperor Kangxi (1662), Wulong county was abolished and merged into Fuzhou. Kangxi seven years (1668), changed to inspection department. In the third year of Xuantong (1911), it was changed into the Fifth District of Fuzhou, and the District Department set up Yangjiaoqi.

During the period of the Republic of China, in the first year of the Republic of China, Fuling county was abolished and renamed the Fifth District of Fuling county. In May 1941, it was designated as Wulong Bureau of Fuling county. In 1944, Fuling county was divided into Wulong county.

After the founding of the people's Republic of China, the people's Government of Wulong county was established on December 5, 1949, under the jurisdiction of Fuling District Administrative Commissioner's office. On June 12, 1956, the 12 townships of Yajiang, Yongxing, Gaojian, Fenglai, Qixing, Tuanjie, Miaoya, Xunhua, Renmin, Yuesheng, Songyue and Gongnong in Miaoya District of Fuling county were assigned to Wulong county. On November 25, 1958, Longtang Township, Yangjiao District, Wulong county was assigned to Fuling County, Sichuan Province. In 1968, Fuling area was renamed Fuling area, and Wulong county was subordinate to Fuling area. On November 5, 1995, Fuling established a prefecture level city, and Wulong county is a county under Fuling City. In December 1998, Fuling City was officially abolished, and Wulong county was directly controlled by Chongqing.

On November 24, 2016, the State Council officially issued the reply of the State Council on Approving the adjustment of some administrative divisions in Chongqing (Guo Han [2016] No. 185): it agreed to abolish Wulong county and establish Wulong district.

On January 13, 2017, the people's Government of Wulong district was officially established. In October of the same year, Wulong District passed the national special assessment and inspection, and was officially approved by Chongqing Municipal People's government to withdraw from poverty-stricken areas and counties.

Wulong district has jurisdiction over 11 towns, 35 townships, 21 neighborhood committees and 427 village committees.

In December 2003, Chongqing Municipal People's Government approved the adjustment of 11 towns and 35 townships to 11 towns and 15 townships in Wulong district.

On December 1, 2017, Chongqing Municipal People's government officially issued the reply of Chongqing Municipal People's Government on revoking the establishment of Fengshan street and Furong street in Xiangkou Town, Wulong district (Yufu [2017] No. 49). The reply agreed to cancel Xiangkou town and establish Fengshan street and Furong street. Fengshan street, with an administrative area of 187.05 square kilometers, governs five communities of Youfang, Fuxing, Zhongshan, Hongdou and Zitong in yuanxiangkou Town, and 12 villages of Fengshan, Yuhe, Huangdu, Chengdong, Zouma, Puban, Wanyin, Yangjia, Guangping, LuHong, Shuishui and zhongduiba. The sub district office is located at 217 Changbin road. Furong street, with an administrative area of 89.05 square kilometers, governs three communities of Furong West Road, Furong Middle Road and zhongzui in yuanxiangkou Town, and nine villages of Baiyang, Sanping, Zhongyu, Huangjin, Dongshan, Zhongxing, Qingji, Yantang and Shilong. On April 22, 2020, Chongqing Municipal People's Government approved the abolition of Yangjiao town and Tukan town and the establishment of Yangjiao street. Yangjiao street is under the jurisdiction of the administrative region of the original Yangjiao town and Tukan Town, and its sub district office is located at No. 6, Lienv West Road, WANJIABAO community (the former Yangjiao town government resident); it agrees to cancel Xiannushan town and establish Xiannushan street. Location context

Wulong district is located in the southeast edge of Chongqing City, at the junction of Wuling Mountain and Dalou mountain, belonging to the Karst Plateau and hilly area in southern China. It is located between 107 ° 13 '- 108 ° 05' e and 29 ° 02 '- 29 ° 40' n. It is 82.7 kilometers long from east to west and 75 kilometers wide from north to south, covering an area of 2901.3 square kilometers. Wulong district is connected with Pengshui in the East, Nanchuan and Fuling in the west, Fengdu in the north, Daozhen in Guizhou in the south, and 139 km away from Chongqing city. It is at the intersection of "one circle and two wings" of Chongqing.

The preliminary geological structure of Wulong area was formed in the second episode of Yanshanian, belonging to the Neocathaysian structural system and the North-South radial structural system, and the North-South structural belt of Sichuan and Guizhou. Jiangkou and other areas belong to the Sichuan Hubei Hunan Guizhou Uplift fold belt, and the fold structure forms a series of anticlines and synclines. There are jielongchang anticline, gantianwan syncline, daershan anticline, Yangjiao anticline, Sanhui anticline, chepan syncline and so on. The exposed strata in the core of the anticline are mostly Permian and Triassic, and the jielongchang anticline is mostly Cambrian. The axis of syncline is the middle upper Triassic strata. The structural form is mostly short axis structure, and the dip angles of the two wings are quite different. Faults are well developed and mostly associated with anticlines.
