Historical evolution
In the Shang Dynasty, there were tribes of the Shang Dynasty, such as Fang Guolian Fang (now the central and Western Jin Dynasty and Luliang City), Ji (now the east of Taigu District), que (now near Jiexiu City) and Yan Jingrong.
In the early years of the Western Zhou Dynasty, it was a place where the Chinese and Rongdi nomadic tribes lived together. In the spring and Autumn period, most of them belonged to the territory of Jin State. In the East, there was another fat state (now Xiyang County) built by the Baidi people. In the 16th year of King Ling of Zhou Dynasty (556 BC), Duke Ping of Jin Dynasty granted "Zhaoyu Qi" (now the central part of Shanxi Province) to Qi Xi, a senior official, as a food city, which covers most of the central part of Jin. In the sixth year of King Jing of Zhou Dynasty (514 BC), the state of Jin divided Qiyi into seven counties, including Qi (now Southeast of Qi county), Wu (now northeast of Jiexiu City), tushui (now southwest of Yuci District) and Mashou (now south of Shouyang County).
In the early Warring States period, it was still the territory of Jin. In the 23rd year of King Zhou Weilie (403 BC), Zhao, Wei and Han were divided into three kingdoms. After the prosperity of Zhao state, most of the areas belonged to Zhao state.
In the 26th year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (221 BC), after Qin unified the whole country, the county system was carried out. In the territory, there were seven counties, Yuci, Yangyi, Qi, Zhongdu, Wu, Jiexiu (now the southeast of Jiexiu City) and Mashou, under the jurisdiction of Taiyuan county (governing Jinyang).
In the early Western Han Dynasty, the whole territory was the territory of daiwangheng. During the reign of emperor Hanping (1-5 years), they belonged to Taiyuan County, Shangdang county and Xihe county respectively. Yuci, Yangyi, Qi, jingling, Zhongdu, Wu and Jiexiu belong to Taiyuan County; Zhanxian, Shangdang County; Pingzhou, Xihe county. In the new dynasty of Wang Mang, the subordination of each county remained unchanged, and the names of some counties changed. Yuci was changed to Taiyuan Pavilion, Yangyi to Fanzao, Qi to Shi, jingling to Cheng, Jiexiu to Jiemei. After the establishment of the Eastern Han Dynasty, each county was restored to its old name. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Leping county was set up (governing Bazhou village of Xiyang County), lingleping county (now Xiyang County) and Zhanxian County; Pingzhou county was abolished; Fuhe county (now Zuoquan county) was set up, belonging to Shangdang county. The rest of Yuci, Yangyi, Qi, Zhongdu, jingling, Wu and Jiexiu counties still belong to Taiyuan county.
During the Three Kingdoms period, the whole territory was under the jurisdiction of the Wei state and Bingzhou, which was under the jurisdiction of Taiyuan, Shangdang, Xihe and Leping counties. Yuci, Yangyi, Qi and Wu counties belong to Taiyuan county. Fuhe county belongs to Shangdang county. Zhongdu, jingling and Jiexiu counties belong to Xihe county. Leping and Zhanxian counties belong to Leping county (later abolished). In the Western Jin Dynasty, the situation was still under the jurisdiction of Bingzhou, which belonged to Taiyuan state (Taiyuan county reform), Shangdang County, Leping county (Taishi middle-aged restoration) and Xihe state (Xihe county reform). Yuci County, Yangyi County, Qi County, Zhongdu County, jingling county and Wu County belong to Taiyuan state; Wuxiang County (separated from Nei County in Taishi period, governing today's Yushe County and shecheng town) belongs to Shangdang County; Zhanjiang County, Leping County, Fuyang county (reformed from Fuhe county) and Shouyang County (reformed from Taikang period) belong to Leping County; Jiexiu county (reformed from Jiexiu county) belongs to Xihe state. During the period of the Sixteen States, Wu and Jiexiu counties were abolished, and the other counties were ruled by Han (former Zhao), Hou Zhao, Qian Yan, Qian Qin, Xi Yan and Hou Yan.
During the period of Northern Wei Dynasty, the system of state, county and county was carried out. In the territory, there are two counties: Hexiang county (which governs shecheng town in Yushe County, and moved to Guxian town in Wuxiang County in the 15th year of Taihe), Leping county (which was abolished by Emperor Taiwu and restored by Emperor Xiaoming), lingleping county (which was abolished in the 9th year of Taiping Zhenjun and restored in the 2nd year of Xiaochang), Liaoyang county (which was reformed by Fuhe County in the 2nd year of Xiaochang). The rest counties are Taiyuan County, Shangdang county and Xihe County of Fenzhou. In the first year of Shiguang in the Northern Wei Dynasty, Pingtao county was moved from jinwenshui county to jingling County, and Pingyao County was renamed Pingyao County to avoid the taboo of emperor Taiwu's tuobatao, and jingling county was cut off at the same time), Zhongdu county (Pingyao County was moved from Pingyao County to Yuci County in the ninth year of Taiping Zhenjun, and the former Shouyang County was under the jurisdiction of the former Shouyang County; the former Shouyang County was moved to the south of Daling city), Wu County (restored in the 19th year of Taihe) heyangyi, Qi and zhan6 counties; Xihe county has Jiexiu (restored in the 8th year of Taihe), which is located 12.5km southeast of Jiexiu. Soon after it was conquered by Hu people, Jiexiu County once moved to other places. In 534, the Northern Wei was divided into the Eastern Wei and the Western Wei, and the whole territory of Jinzhong belonged to the Eastern Wei. In the fourth year of Xinghe (542), the overseas Chinese set up Pingchang county (now Jiexiu City) in Jiexiu county and lived in dingyang County for 30 years. In the eighth year of Wuding in the Eastern Wei Dynasty (550), the Northern Qi Dynasty replaced the Eastern Wei Dynasty, and the whole territory was under the control of the Northern Qi Dynasty. In the territory, Leping County of Bingzhou was still established, and Liangyu county (now Heshun county) was newly established. Leping County led Leping county and Liangyu County; the rest Zhongdu County, Yangyi County, Shouyang County (formerly Shouyang County) and Pingyao County belonged to Taiyuan County of Bingzhou. During this period, Wu County was abolished; Qi county was cut off to Pingyao; Jiexiu county was merged into Yong'an county (now Xiaoyi City); Liaoyang County was merged into Liangyu county. In addition, there are four overseas Chinese counties and prefectures in the territory, namely dingyang county (from Jixian to Jiexiu for more than 30 years), nanshuozhou (set up because of military garrison in Shuozhou, 12.5 kilometers southeast of Jiexiu City, only leading soldiers, not governing counties), Shuozhou (Overseas Chinese to Shouyang), Yanzhou (Overseas Chinese to Yanzhu in southwest of Shouyang County). In the first year of Chengguang in the Northern Qi Dynasty (577), the Northern Zhou Dynasty destroyed the Northern Qi Dynasty, and the whole territory returned to the Zhou Dynasty. In the first year of xuanzheng of the Northern Zhou Dynasty (578), Yang county was changed into Jiexiu County, and Jiexiu county was restored (Pingchang county was changed the next year). Jiexiu County belonged to Jiexiu County; the rest of Zhongdu, Yangyi, Shouyang, Pingyao, Leping and Liangyu counties belonged to Jiexiu County. The establishment of nanshuozhou and Yanzhou by overseas Chinese was abolished.
After the unification of the Sui Dynasty, the county level system was abolished and the state and county level system was established. Jiexiu county was changed into Jiezhou County, with Pingchang (changed into Jiexiu County in the 18th year of kaihuang), Lingshi (changed into Lvzhou in the 18th year of kaihuang), Pingyao, and Qing Dynasty (changed into Dongqing village in the 16th year of kaihuang, and abolished in the early Daye).
