Deyang City, also known as "Jingcheng", is a prefecture level city in Sichuan Province. Deyang is 50 kilometers away from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport and 24 kilometers away from Qingbaijiang, the largest railway container center station in Asia. Deyang is a major technical equipment manufacturing base in China, which was built because of the "three line construction" national layout of modern industry. In November 2017, Deyang became the second batch of national emergency industry demonstration bases.
On July 5, 2019, the Ministry of ecological environment of the people's Republic of China announced the special investigation of black and odorous water bodies in the first stage of overall planning and strengthening supervision in 2019. Historical evolution
In ancient times, it was the place of Baipu. In 316 BC, the fifth year of King Shenliang of Zhou Dynasty, that is, the ninth year of gengyuan of King Huiwen of Qin Dynasty, Qin Dynasty destroyed the two states of Bashu and established the two prefectures of Bashu. Today, Deyang belongs to the prefecture of Shu. County under the county, County Pavilion.
In the third year of Wude (620), Gaozu of Tang Dynasty, Luoxian county and Mianzhu County were established as Deyang county (now Jingyang District of Deyang City), belonging to Yizhou.
In 686, Wu Zetian established Hanzhou in Luo County (now Guanghan City) and led five counties. Deyang county was under the jurisdiction of jiannandao Hanzhou.
In 742, Emperor Xuanzong changed Hanzhou into Deyang county. In the first year of emperor Qianyuan of suzong (758), Deyang county was rebuilt as Hanzhou.
In the third year of Qiande (965), Emperor Taizu of the Northern Song Dynasty set up Hanzhou in Luo County and led four counties (including Deyang county) under Xichuan road. In 1059, Xichuan road was changed to Chengdu Fu Road. In the Southern Song Dynasty, Hanzhou was still established, and Lingxian was the same as that in the Northern Song Dynasty.
In the first year of Zhongtong (1260), Emperor Shizu of Yuan Dynasty restored Hanzhou to Deyang county.
In the fourth year of Hongwu (1371), Emperor Taizu of the Ming Dynasty, Hanzhou still led three counties (including Deyang county), belonging to Chengdu Prefecture. In 1377, Deyang County entered Hanzhou and was restored in 1380.
In the early Qing Dynasty, it was still the Ming system. In 1659, Luojiang county was merged into Deyang county. In the 26th year of Kangxi (1687), Hanzhou was reduced to Sanzhou (Danzhou), no longer governing counties, Deyang county was subordinate to Chengdu Prefecture. In 1727, Deyang county was changed to mianzhou Zhili Prefecture. In 1802, Luojiang county was established.
In 1952, the people's Government of Sichuan Province was established, and the administrative districts of Eastern Sichuan, southern Sichuan, Western Sichuan and Northern Sichuan were abolished. Deyang county belongs to Mianyang special district.
In 1959, Luojiang county was abolished, most of its towns were merged into Deyang County, and the rest were merged into Mianyang county and Anxian county.

On March 10, 1983, in order to change the system of Deyang area and establish Deyang City under the jurisdiction of Sichuan Province, many departments of Deyang county jointly issued a document and submitted the supplementary report on re requesting the establishment of Deyang City to the people's Government of Sichuan Province.
On April 1, 1983, the Sichuan provincial Party committee and government agreed to the application report of Deyang County on preparing to build a prefecture level Deyang City, and informed and decided Guanghan, Shifang and Mianzhu counties to participate in the preparatory group for the construction of Deyang City. On April 8, the preparatory group for the construction of Deyang City was established. On April 12, the preparatory work for the construction of Deyang City officially began. In early June, Zhongjiang County was added as a member of the preparatory group. On June 14, the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Sichuan Provincial People's government formally submitted a report to the State Council.
