Hechi Hechi, abbreviated as "he", is a prefecture level city in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of the people's Republic of China. It is located in the northwest border of Guangxi and the southern foot of Yunnan Guizhou Plateau, 314km away from Guilin City, which is famous for its beautiful landscape. The territory has diverse terrain and complex structure, with high terrain in the northwest and low terrain in the southeast. Located in low latitude, it is a subtropical monsoon climate zone, with jurisdiction over 2 districts and 9 counties, covering a total area of 33500 square kilometers. The registered residence population was 4 million 298 thousand and 700 in 2017.
In Hechi, the southwest sea passage of the national "five vertical and seven horizontal" national trunk road passes through the territory. It is the throat fortress of the southwest sea passage, and the hub of the convergence of the "South Guizhou Kunming Economic Zone", "Pan Pearl River Delta economic circle" and the "ASEAN free trade area" flow of people, logistics, capital and information. Hechi is a key area in the western development of Guangxi. Hechi is a multi-ethnic city mainly inhabited by Zhuang nationality, which is one of the most inhabited areas in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
The "four areas" of Hechi are the old revolutionary base areas, the minority areas, the poverty-stricken areas supported by the state, and the key areas of the western development; "five townships" are the hometown of China's non-ferrous metals, China's hydropower, the world's bronze drum, the world's longevity, and the hometown of Zhuang singer Liu Sanjie.
On December 13, 2018, it was selected into the list of agricultural products advantage areas with Chinese characteristics. On January 25, 2019, it was selected as the national "safe agricultural machinery" demonstration city in 2018. In 2019, the city's GDP will reach 87.810 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.0%.
Historical evolution
From Qin Dynasty to Qing Dynasty
Hechi City is a place of Baiyue in the pre Qin period.
In the 33rd year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (214 BC), the Qin army captured the Lingnan area and set up Guilin, Nanhai and Xiang counties.
In the third year of emperor Gaozu of Han Dynasty (204 BC), Zhao Tuo, a South China Sea Captain, defeated Guilin county and Xiang County, established Nanyue Kingdom, established himself as Nanyue King, established the capital of Panyu, and controlled the whole Lingnan area. Today, most of Hechi City belongs to South Vietnam. In the sixth year of Yuanding (111 BC), Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty sent troops to pacify the Nanyue state. In the south of the five ridges, nine counties were set up, namely Nanhai, Cangwu, Yulin, Hepu, Jiaozhi, Jiuzhen, rinan, zhuya and daner. In the southwest, nine counties were set up.
During the Three Kingdoms period, Jinchengjiang District, Yizhou City, Huanjiang Maonan Autonomous County, Donglan County, Bama Yao Autonomous County, Fengshan County, Du'an Yao Autonomous County and Dahua Yao Autonomous County of Hechi City belong to Yulin County of Wu state; Luocheng Mulao autonomous county belongs to Tanzhong County of Guilin County of Wu state; Nandan County and Tian'e County belong to Wulian County of Yizhou County of Shu state.
In the two Jin Dynasties, Jinchengjiang District, Yizhou City, Donglan County, Fengshan County, Du'an Yao Autonomous County and Dahua Yao Autonomous County of Hechi City belong to Longgang County of Guilin county (now Yizhou city); Luocheng Mulao autonomous county belongs to Tanzhong County of Guilin County; Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county belongs to Longgang County of Guilin County in the West Jin Dynasty, Tanzhong County of Guilin County in the East Jin Dynasty; Bama Yao Autonomous County belongs to Jinzhou county Xingjun Zengyi county belongs to Guangyu County; Nandan county and Tiane County belong to Yujun county.
In the southern and Northern Dynasties, song and Qi dynasties, Jinchengjiang District, Yizhou City, Huanjiang Maonan Autonomous County, Donglan County, Bama Yao Autonomous County, Fengshan County, Du'an Yao Autonomous County and Dahua Yao Autonomous County of Hechi City belong to Longding County of Guilin county (now Yizhou city); Luocheng Mulao autonomous county belongs to Tanzhong County of Guilin County; Nandan county and Tian'e County belong to NANYAO county.
In Sui Dynasty, the parts of Jinchengjiang District, Yizhou City, Huanjiang Maonan Autonomous County, Nandan county and Fengshan County of Hechi City belong to Shi'an Prefecture; the parts of Jinchengjiang District, Donglan County, Bama Yao Autonomous County, Du'an Yao Autonomous County and Dahua Yao Autonomous County belong to Yulin Prefecture; the parts of Tian'e County, Donglan county and Fengshan County belong to Nanning Prefecture; Part of Tian'e county belongs to Yao county. At present, Luocheng Mulao Autonomous County is divided into Huangshui county and Linyu county. At first, it was subordinate to Dongning Prefecture, and then changed to Rongzhou. In the second year of Daye (606), Huangshui county and Linyu county were abandoned and merged into Yixi County, which belongs to Shi'an county.
In the Tang Dynasty, today's Hechi City is under the jurisdiction of Lingnan Dao, Yongzhou Dudu Fu, Guizhou Dudu Fu, Jiangnan Dao, Qianzhou Dudu Fu and Qianzhong Dao.
In the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, most of Hechi City belongs to Yizhou, some (Luocheng Mulao Autonomous County) belongs to Rongzhou, and some (Huanjiang Maonan Autonomous County) belongs to Huanzhou. They belonged to Chu first, and then to the Southern Han Dynasty.
In the Song Dynasty, from 960-1125 to 1264, the fifth year of JINGDING of LiZong (Zhao Yun) in the Southern Song Dynasty, Yizhou was still established and governed by Yishan county. Yizhou was promoted to Qingyuan Prefecture and governed by Yishan county because it was the Qiandi of duzong emperor.
Yuan Dynasty, to the 13th year of the Yuan Dynasty (1276), set Qingyuan pacification department, the Department of governance Yishan county. In 1277, Nandan Prefecture was renamed Nandan pacification department. In the 16th year of Zhiyuan (1279), Qingyuan pacification department was changed into the general office of Qingyuan Road, which governed Yishan county. In September of the first year of Dade (1297), Qingyuan Road and Nandan pacification department were canceled, and Qingyuan nandanxidong and other military and civilian pacification departments were set up to govern Yishan county. At the beginning of the reign of Li Hu, he traveled extensively to Zhongshu province.
In the Ming Dynasty, in the first year of Hongwu (1368), the military and civilian pacification Department of danxidong in Qingyuan was changed to Qingyuan Prefecture, which governed Yishan County; in the first month of the second year of Hongwu, the military and civilian pacification Department of Qingyuan Nandan was changed to Qingyuan Prefecture, which governed Yishan County; in March of the third year of Hongwu, the military and civilian pacification Department of Qingyuan Nandan was changed to Qingyuan Prefecture, which governed Yishan county. It is subordinate to the Department of political envoys of Guangxi.
In the Qing Dynasty, following the Ming Dynasty, Qingyuan Prefecture was set up to govern Yishan county. It belongs to Youjiang road and is subordinate to the Department of political envoys of Guangxi. Jinchengjiang District, Yizhou City, Huanjiang Maonan Autonomous County, Luocheng Mulao Autonomous County, Donglan County, Bama Yao Autonomous County, Fengshan County, Du'an Yao Autonomous County, Nandan county and Tian'e County of Hechi City are all under the jurisdiction of Qingyuan Prefecture; Luocheng Mulao Autonomous County is under the jurisdiction of Liuzhou Prefecture, Luocheng County, and Tian'e county is under the jurisdiction of Sicheng Prefecture Lingyun County, part of Bama Yao Autonomous County is under the jurisdiction of si'en Prefecture and Baise Zhili hall, part of Fengshan county is under the jurisdiction of Sicheng Prefecture and Baise Zhili hall, part of Du'an Yao Autonomous County and Dahua Yao Autonomous County are under the jurisdiction of si'en Prefecture anding Tu Xun Si and duyang Tu Xun Si.
the Republic of China era
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Qingyuan Prefecture was set up. In the second year of the Republic of China, Daoling county was set up and Qingyuan County was abolished. The county under the former jurisdiction was assigned to liujiangdao (Maping county). Dao was abolished in November 1927. The original Dao belonged to Guangxi Province. In April 1930, there were 12 civilian League districts in the province, including Yishan civilian League District, which governed Yishan county and 8 counties. In March 1942, the Guangxi provincial government decided to merge 12 administrative supervision districts into seven districts, of which the former fourth (Liuzhou) administrative supervision district and the seventh (Qingyuan) administrative supervision district were merged into the Second District, which governs Liujiang and governs 19 counties. In 1948, according to the principle of adjusting administrative supervision districts promulgated by the Ministry of the interior, Guangxi provincial government decided to allocate some counties in the second district and set up the tenth administrative supervision district, which governs Yishan county and governs eight counties. In June 1949, the Guangxi provincial government decided to separate Donglan County, Wangang County, Fengshan county and Leye County from the fifth (Baise) administrative supervision district and Tiane county from the former tenth administrative supervision district, and set up the twelfth administrative supervision district to govern Fengshan.
The Republic Period
On January 1, 1950, Qingyuan district was established to govern Qingyuan Town, Yishan County, with jurisdiction over nine counties. In February, it was renamed Yishan District, which has jurisdiction over 9 counties.
In August 1952, Liuzhou District was abolished, and all the counties under its jurisdiction, except Luzhai County, were incorporated into Yishan district. The number of counties under the jurisdiction of Yishan district increased to 15.
In December 1952, the Western Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region was established under the jurisdiction of Yishan Prefecture. In March 1956, the Western Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region was renamed the Western Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Prefecture, and the Yishan special region was renamed the Yishan region, which is subordinate to the Autonomous Prefecture.
In December 1957, Western Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Prefecture was abolished, and Yishan area was renamed Yishan special area, Zhili Guangxi Province.
In July 1958, Yishan district was renamed Liuzhou District, and the office was moved from Qingyuan town of Yishan county to Liuzhou city.
On May 18, 1965, the State Council approved the establishment of Hechi District, which is located in Jinchengjiang town of Hechi county (now Jinchengjiang town of Jinchengjiang District), and has jurisdiction over 10 counties. In September 1971, Hechi district was renamed Hechi District, and the counties under its jurisdiction remained unchanged.
On June 18, 2002, the State Council approved the abolition of Hechi district and the establishment of prefecture level Hechi City, which was officially established on November 1 of the same year and has jurisdiction over 11 counties (cities and districts).
On December 14, 2016, the State Council approved the abolition of Yizhou city at the county level and the establishment of Yizhou District of Hechi City, and approved the relocation of Hechi municipal government to Yizhou district.
On November 24, 2016, the State Council approved the cancellation of Yizhou city and the establishment of Yizhou District in Hechi City with the approval of (Guo Han 190). The former administrative region of Yizhou city is the administrative region of Yizhou District, and the people's Government of Yizhou district is located at 378 Jinyi Avenue, Qingyuan town. Hechi Municipal People's government moved from 17 Baiwang Road, Jinchengjiang district to 6 Zhongshan Avenue, Yizhou district.
