Hexian County, formerly known as Liyang, is a county under the jurisdiction of Ma'anshan City, Anhui Province. It is located in the east of Anhui Province and on the North Bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, with a total area of 1319 square kilometers. Historical evolution

The ancient name of He county is Liyang, which is named after "Lishui in the south of the county". According to historical records such as Shangshu, Yugong, Tongdian, Yuanhe county annals and Taiping Huanyu records, the Zhou Dynasty was the capital of Yangzhou, and the spring and Autumn Period belonged to Wu.
