Lujiang County Lujiang County, subordinate to Hefei City, Anhui Province, is located in the middle of Anhui Province and the south of Hefei city. It is adjacent to Chaohu City, Wuwei City, Zongyang County, Tongcheng City, Shucheng county and Feixi County. Its adjacent waters include Chaohu Lake and the Yangtze River. The origin of place names
Lujiang River, the name of a river that first appeared in Shanhaijing haineidongjing, has no final conclusion as to which current it is. After the county name because of the river, county name because of the county, continues to this day. Lujiang River, also known as Qian (Qian Chuan), began in Liang Dynasty (Liang Shu, Wei Shu, topographical records).
Lujiang County was established in the early Western Han Dynasty. The name of Lujiang County began in Sui Dynasty (SUI Shu, geography annals) and Liang Dynasty (Taiping Huanyu Ji). There is only a few decades difference between them.
History of construction
In the spring and Autumn period, it belonged to the state of Shu. After the people of Xu took Shu, it was the land of Chu.
In the Qin Dynasty, it belonged to Jiujiang county first, and then to Hengshan County.
In the Han Dynasty, it was Shu county. At first, it belonged to Hengshan County of Huainan state, and then to Hengshan state and Hengshan County. In the second year of Yuanshou (121 BC), Emperor Wu abolished Lujiang County in the south of the Yangtze River, and set up new Lujiang County in the east of Heng County and the south of Jiujiang county. Shu county belongs to Lujiang County.
During the period of the Three Kingdoms, they were divided into wulujiang county (governing Anhui) and weilujiang county (governing Yangquan).
In the Western Jin Dynasty, it was still Shu County, belonging to Lujiang County of Yuzhou (zhiyangquan).
In the southern and Northern Dynasties, in the first year of Liang Tianjian (502), Xiangzhou was set up, and Shu county was renamed Qian, which was called Lujiang County.
In the Sui Dynasty, in the first year of kaihuang (581), Lujiang County was abolished, Luzhou was established and moved to Hefei; in the third year of Daye (607), Luzhou was changed to Lujiang County, and the state and county governments were moved to Hefei to retain the old name and change the old rule to Lujiang County.
In the Tang Dynasty, in the 23rd year of Kaiyuan (735), Shucheng county was set up in Hefei and Lujiang.
In Song Dynasty, Wuwei County was established in Lujiang and Chaoxian.

On September 11, 1947, the 24th regiment of the 8th brigade of the 3rd column of the Shanxi Hebei Shandong Henan field army of the Chinese people's liberation army conquered Lujiang County and established Lujiang democratic county government. At the end of the month, the army was withdrawn after its transfer. At the end of the year, Tonglu democratic county government was established in the line from Dahua to Zhuanqiao in Lunan and northeast township of Tongcheng, and Huxi democratic county government was established in Lujiang at the same time. Tonglu and Huxi counties belong to the second Commissioner's office of West Anhui (in Tongcheng). In August 1948, Huxi county was divided into Lujiang County and Huxi county. The new Huxi county was under the fourth Commissioner's office of West Anhui (stationed in Wuwei Kaicheng), while Lujiang County was still under the second special office.
On January 22nd, 1949, the whole territory of Lujiang River was liberated. Lujiang and Tonglu counties belong to Tongcheng special district. In February, the former south part of Lujiang River in Tonglu County was returned to Lujiang system. In July, Huxi county was merged into Lujiang River and subordinate to Chaohu special district in Northern Anhui Province.
On February 4, 1952, Lujiang County was assigned to Wuhu District of Anhui Province.
On July 7, 1958, Lujiang County was divided into Lu'an district from Wuhu district.
On July 14, 1965, Chaohu district was set up, and Lujiang County was assigned to Chaohu district from Lu'an.
On August 29, 1971, Chaohu Area was renamed Chaohu Area, which belongs to Lujiang River. In January 2000, Chaohu district was abolished and Chaohu City was set up under the provincial jurisdiction. Lujiang River was subordinate to Chaohu City.
In August 2011, with the approval of the State Council, Chaohu City was abolished and Lujiang County was put under the jurisdiction of Hefei city.

Most of Lujiang County is located in the eastern part of huaiyangshan type front arc, where the Tan Lu fault zone passes through. The strata are divided into North and south. The Qiufu area in the north of the city has a relatively complete sedimentary rock series from the Upper Proterozoic to the Mesozoic; the Zhuanqiao hilly area has a wide range of volcanic rock series accumulation in the Luzong basin; the Ketan and fuxiangshan areas in the west of the county are covered with the Lower Proterozoic metamorphic rock series.
