Therefore, the urban construction history of Jiaocheng County can be divided into three stages
Dalingcheng
The ancient city Daling is located in dalingzhuang village, 5km southwest of the county. It was built in 514 BC. According to Zuo Zhuan, in the 28th year of the reign of Zhao Gong, Qi's land was divided into seven counties (Wu, Qi, Pingling, gengyang, tushui, Mashou, Yu). Pingling county was ruled by Jin State, and it was renamed Daling during the Warring States period. It was called Daling County in the Western Han Dynasty, changed its name to Daning during the reign of Wang Mang, and was renamed Daling in the northern and Southern Dynasties. In 448, the city of Taiping Zhenjun in the Northern Wei Dynasty was abolished, and Daling City existed for 962 years. Its jurisdiction is located in the southwest of Jiaocheng County and the north of Wenshui County, which is the common predecessor of the two counties.
The city was built in the early days, with a large scale. According to the city textual research, "the old city of Daling, zhoushili", is built with "lumen". According to the investigation, the east city is located in the east of Daying village, the west city is 1km west of Daling village, the north city is 0.5km north of Daling village, and the south city is in the south of Wuling village in Wenshui County, with a diameter of about 1.5km. It is about 4 kilometers around the city. According to records, there is still a beichenglou in the Ming Dynasty, which was damaged in the middle of the Qing Dynasty.
Before the abolition of the county, there were "iron lions" in the county yamen, stables, daiwangdi in the northeast, Sanguan temple in the southwest, Jicheng in the southwest, Zicheng in the West camp in the southeast, and Hangcheng in Wenshui County. Until the Ming and Qing Dynasties, "Wenshui County annals" still contains: "every time it rains in Daling, looking at the fighting butterflies from afar, it's as if it's looming."
The ancient mausoleum is located in the main road of Jinzhong, which has always been a must for military strategists. According to the annals of the Three Kingdoms, "in the year 211 of Jian'an, Shangyao of Taiyuan rebelled against daling, and XiaHouYuan and xuhuang broke it." In the 21st year of Jian'an, Cao Cao divided the southern Xiongnu into five parts: the left, the middle and the right. The central Duwei ruled six thousand households and lived in Daling county.
There is a story recorded in historical records: Zhao Wuling, the king of Wuling, visited Daling city. He dreamed of meeting a woman with a Guqin and sang: "the beauty is shining, and the beauty is as glorious as the sweet potato. Life depends on life. No one ever won! " I was deeply surprised. After hearing this, Minister Wu Guang presented his daughter. When King Wuling of Zhao saw her, she really looked like the man in her dream, so she accepted her as "empress Hui", and her son, Zhao he, was king Hui Wen of Zhao.
