Longmen County, Longmen County, is under the jurisdiction of Huizhou City, Guangdong Province. It used to be the upper Longmen area of Zengcheng County, so it was named Longmen Ming county. It is located in the middle of Guangdong Province, upstream of Zengjiang River, bordering Heyuan City and BOLUO County of Huizhou City in the southeast, Conghua district and Zengcheng District of Guangzhou City in the southwest, and Xinfeng County of Shaoguan City in the north, with a total area of 2295 square kilometers. By 2019, Longmen County has jurisdiction over two streets, seven towns and one Yao Township, with a total population of 359000.
Longmen County is located between Jiulian Mountain and Luofu Mountain. Jiulian Mountain system extends into the county and branches to the East and southeast to connect with Luofu Mountain. In the territory, the mountains are undulating and crisscross, forming a "land of mountains". The terrain inclines from northwest to Southeast, small in the upper part and big in the lower part. In November 2017, Longmen County won the title of "national civilized county".

History of construction
In the 24th year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (223 BC), Panyu county was established, and Longmen belonged to Panyu county.
In the sixth year of Jian'an (201) of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Zengcheng county was set up by Panyu County, and Longmen County belonged to Zengcheng county. In 1496, Longmen County was set up in the three capitals of Xilin, pingkang and Jinniu in the northeast of Zengcheng county and a small part of the northwest of Boluo county. The county government set up qilinggang in Xilin. The county was originally the upper Longmen area of Zengcheng County, so it was named Longmen Ming county. From the founding of Longmen County to the end of Qing Dynasty, Longmen County belonged to Guangzhou government.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it was subordinate to the governor of Guangdong; in the third year of the Republic of China (1914), it was subordinate to yuehaidao; in the tenth year of the Republic of China (1921), it was subordinate to Guangdong Province; in the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936), it was subordinate to the fourth administrative supervision district. In the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947), it was subordinate to the fifth (special office) administrative supervision district.
On August 27, 1949, Longmen County was liberated, belonging to Dongjiang special area.
In November 1952, it belonged to the central Guangdong administrative office; after December 1956, it belonged to Huiyang District; in November 1958, Longmen County merged with Zengcheng County, which was called Zengcheng County, which belonged to Guangzhou region; in March 1959, it belonged to Foshan region; on October 25, 1961, Longmen County was restored, which was still under Foshan region; in June 1963, Longmen County was under the jurisdiction of Huiyang region; from January 1975, Longmen County was under the jurisdiction of Guangzhou City; 19 In April 1988, it was put under the jurisdiction of Huizhou City.

In 2005, Tiantangshan town was merged into Dipai town; Tiegang town and zuotan town were abolished and Longtan town was established.
On June 16, 2005, Longcheng town was abolished and Longcheng sub district office was established. The former Wangping neighborhood committee of Wangping town and 13 village committees of Qingxi, Daiwu, Zhangtan, Huangxi, cormorant, Hengtian, Chengxi, Wangping, Huawei, Chencun, huangzhuli, Jiangxia and Sandong were included in Longcheng sub district office. Wangping town was renamed as Longtian town.
On December 9, 2005, Shajing Town was abolished and merged into Longhua town; Luxi town was abolished and merged into Longjiang Town.
On October 12, 2017, Pingling town was abolished and Pingling street was established.

The main river in Longmen County is Zengjiang, which runs through the north and south of the county. Zengjiang river is one of the three tributaries of Dongjiang River. It is commonly known as Longmen River in Longmen and Xilin River near the county. It originates from Qixingling, Xinfeng, flows through Xinfeng, Longmen and Zengcheng, and flows into Dongjiang River in sunjiapu, Zengcheng. There are seven tributaries with a catchment area of more than 100 square kilometers in the county, of which six are tributaries of Zengjiang River, namely Lantian River, Tiegang River, Baisha River, Gepu River and Yonghan River, and the other is the upstream of Gongzhuang River, a tributary of Dongjiang River, which is called Pingling River in Longmen.
