Neijiang economic and Technological Development Zone Neijiang economic and Technological Development Zone is one of the first batch of provincial development zones approved by Sichuan provincial government in 1992. It was upgraded to national economic and Technological Development Zone in November 2013 with the approval of the State Council. In July 2013, it was entrusted with "two towns and one street", covering an area of 49 square kilometers, with jurisdiction over Chengxi Industrial Park and Xilin new area.

On March 4, 2020, it was rated as the national new industrialization demonstration base by the Ministry of industry and information technology.

Reasons for naming

Recently, with the approval of the State Council, Neijiang economic and Technological Development Zone has been upgraded to a national economic and Technological Development Zone, named Neijiang economic and Technological Development Zone, and the current national economic and Technological Development Zone policy has been implemented.

The relevant person in charge of Neijiang Bureau of Commerce said that the successful upgrading of Neijiang economic and Technological Development Zone is bound to promote the transformation of the economic development mode of Neijiang City, improve the quality and level of development, create an important growth pole of Chengdu Chongqing Economic Zone, play a window, demonstration, radiation and driving role, and boost the "Cheng Nei Yu" economic development zone.

It is reported that Neijiang economic and Technological Development Zone was established in July 1992 as a provincial development zone approved by the provincial government. Among them, the West Industrial Park of Neijiang economic development zone is the "1525" 10 billion key park planned and constructed by the provincial government. Two railways (Chengdu Chongqing, Neikun) and three expressways (Chengdu Chongqing, Neiyi, neisui) surround the park, with convenient transportation.
