The origin of the name
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to yikeming'an banner, formerly known as babaiquan, which was actually babaibulak in Mongolian. "Babai" means "baby", "precious", "Braque" means "spring". Collectively known as "precious spring".

In 1924, Mingshui county and Yi'an county were established. Since then, a part of the original Baiquan County has been assigned to the second county.
In 1932, the Japanese army occupied Baiquan and established the puppet County Office.
On August 15, 1945, Japan surrendered.
On November 16, 1945, the people's Government of Baiquan County was established. Baiquan County has been subordinate to Tongken deputy Dutong, hailun mansion, Longjiang Road, Longjiang Province, Bei'an Province, Heilongjiang Province and Nenjiang administrative office.
On December 15, 1984, Nenjiang administrative office was merged with Qiqihar City, and Baiquan County is subordinate to Qiqihar City, which continues to this day.
