Fengrun District, belonging to Tangshan City, Hebei Province, is located in the east of Hebei Province, the northeast of North China Plain, and the south foot of Yanshan Mountains. It is located in the hinterland of Beijing Tianjin Hebei Urban Agglomeration. It is adjacent to Lubei District, Kaiping District and luanzhou city in the East, Fengnan District and Ninghe District of Tianjin city in the south, Yutian County in the west, Zunhua City and Qianxi County in the north, with a total area of 1152.78 square kilometers. Known as the "hometown of China's dairy industry", it is an important logistics base, equipment manufacturing base and building materials distribution center in North China.
Fengrun, formerly known as Tuyin and Wuyang, got its name from "Fengze Runmei". It has a history of 4000 years and a history of 2000 years of county construction. During the reign of emperor jintaihe (1201-1209 A.D.), Fengrun county was built in the east of Yutian County (changed to Fengrun County after Ming Dynasty). In February 2002, Fengrun county and New District of Tangshan City were abolished and Fengrun District of Tangshan city was established.
Fengrun is close to mountains and rivers, with Yanshan vein in the north, plain in the middle and wetland in the southwest. It belongs to warm temperate continental monsoon climate, and is located in the throat of North China and northeast passage, with superior geographical location and convenient transportation. Tangshan sannuhe airport is located in this area. Beijing Harbin railway, Beijing Harbin railway, Beijing Harbin expressway, Changshen expressway, national highway 102, national highway 112 and provincial highway Tangtong pass through the territory. Douhe River, huanxiang River and Nihe river flow through the territory.
Fengrun District won the national top 100 comprehensive strength District in 2017. In October 2019, it will be selected as one of the top 100 comprehensive strength districts in China in 2019. Top 100 new urbanization quality districts in China in 2019. In September 2020, it will be included in the list of food industry strong counties (cities, districts) (cultivation type) in Hebei Province.

In Shang Dynasty, it was the territory of Guzhu state.
The Western Zhou Dynasty belongs to the state of Yan.
In the spring and Autumn period, there was no end state.
During the Warring States period, it belonged to the state of Yan.
In the Qin Dynasty, it belonged to youbeiping county.
The county system was established in the Western Han Dynasty. Tuyin county was in the East and Xuwu county was in the northwest. Both counties belonged to the right Beiping County of the Han Dynasty. In the Eastern Han Dynasty, youbeiping county was moved to Tuyin County, which was still under the jurisdiction of Tuyin county and Xuwu county.
During the Three Kingdoms period, it belonged to the state of Wei, and the administrative setup basically followed the Eastern Han Dynasty.
In the Western Jin Dynasty, youbeiping county was changed into Beiping County, and its territory belonged to Tuyin county and Xuwu county. In the early Northern Wei Dynasty, Tuyin county and Xuwu County belonged to Yuyang county. After the Northern Wei Dynasty was divided into the Eastern Wei Dynasty and the Western Wei Dynasty, it belonged to the Tuyin County of the Eastern Wei Dynasty.
In the first year of Tianbao (550) of the Northern Qi Dynasty, Tuyin county was abandoned and northeast daoxingtai was set up. Tianbao eight years (557) will move people in Jizhou area, that is, "moving people together fort", set up yongjiwu, Wuzhong county.
In Sui Dynasty, it belonged to Yuyang county.

In 697, Wuzhong county was renamed Yutian County, belonging to Yutian County, Jizhou, Hebei road.

In 1187, Yongji County was established as Yongji County. In the first year of Jin Da'an (1209), in order to avoid the name of Wanyan Yongji, the king of Shao, it was renamed Fengrun County, belonging to Jizhou. The southeast part is still Shicheng, belonging to luanzhou.
In 1220, Fengrun county was promoted to run state. Yuan Shizu to yuan two years (1265), remove run state into Yutian County. Fengrun county was restored in 1267. In 1284, Fengrun county was changed into Fengrun department, belonging to Jizhou, Dadu road.
Fengrun County in Ming Dynasty belongs to shuntianfu, capital province. The first year of Hongwu (1368) changed "run" to "run", which belongs to Jizhou, shuntianfu, hence the name "Fengrun".
The Qing Dynasty basically followed the establishment of the Ming Dynasty and changed the former capital province into Zhili Province. In the early Qing Dynasty, Fengrun county still belonged to Jizhou, shuntianfu. Kangxi 15 years (1676) to shuntianfu Zunhua state. Yongzheng three years (1725) belong to Yongping house. In 1743, the emperor's mausoleum was built in Zunhua, and Zunhua was upgraded to Zhili Prefecture. Most of the county belongs to Zhili Prefecture, and only the southeast part is still luanzhou, which belongs to Yongping Prefecture.
In 1913, Zunhua Prefecture and luanzhou were changed into counties, which belong to jinhaidao, Fengrun county and Luanxian county respectively.
In 1928, Tianjin Haidao was abolished, Zhili Province was changed into Hebei Province, and Fengrun was subordinate to Hebei Province.
In 1935, the traitor Yin rugeng established the puppet "Jidong anti Communist autonomous government" in Tongxian County, which had jurisdiction over 22 counties in Jidong, among which Fengrun county was one.
In 1937, after the outbreak of the Anti Japanese War, Fengrun county was a part of the revolutionary base of Shanxi Chahar Hebei border region.
In October of 1939, Fengrun Luan Qianlian county was established, which belongs to Jidong sub committee of jirecha District Committee.
In March 1940, fengyutian Zunhua United county was established, which is under the jurisdiction of Jidong Office of Jire Chahar District, and the 13th special office of Jincha jibian District in July.
In October 1941, fengyutian Ninghe United county was established, belonging to the 13th special office of Shanxi Chahar Hebei border region; in July 1943, it belonged to the fifth special office of Hebei hot border region.
In April 1942, due to the sacrifice of the county magistrate, the seal of the county government was lost, and it was renamed "qianluanfeng" United County, belonging to the 13th special office of Shanxi Chahar Hebei border area.
In February 1943, fengyuzun and fengyuning United counties were merged into fengyuzuning United County, belonging to the 13th special office of Shanxi Chahar Hebei border region; in July, it belonged to the fifth special office of Hebei hot border region. In August, Fengyu zunning Union County was abolished and divided into Fengyu zunning and Fengyu zunning union counties again, belonging to the fifth special office of jirebian administrative office.
In November 1944, the administrative committee of Shanxi Chahar Hebei border region decided to change the administrative office of Hebei Province to that of Hebei Province from January 1945. The five special offices in the former Hebei hot border area were arranged according to the Shanxi Chahar Hebei border area. Fengyuzun, fengyuning two joint counties belong to the 18th special office, and qianluanfeng joint county belongs to the 15th special office.
After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, the administrative committee of Shanxi Chahar Hebei border region decided to change the Jire Liao administrative office into Jidong administrative office. Qianluanfeng United county belongs to the 15th special office of Jidong, fengyuning, fengyuzun United county belongs to the 18th special office of Jidong. Most of the area south of the county seat was occupied by the Kuomintang and belonged to the fourth Commissioner's office of the Kuomintang in Hebei Province.
In 1946, Lianhe county was abolished and Fengrun county was reestablished. It belonged to the 15th special office of Jidong administrative office, and the Kuomintang occupied area belonged to the fourth Office of the Kuomintang in Hebei Province.
At the beginning of 1947, the KMT government established Suyang county (Fengnan County after liberation) in the south of Fengrun. The county was governed by xugezhuang (now xugezhuang street, Fengnan District).
In December 1948, Fengrun county was liberated, and Fengrun county was under the 15th special office of Jidong administrative office.
In August 1949, Jidong administrative office was abolished and Tangshan special office was established, which was subordinate to Fengrun county.
In July 1954, Fengnan county was merged into Fengrun county.
In August 1959, the organizational system of Fengrun county was restored.
In June 1961, by the decision of the State Council, Fengrun county is divided into Fengrun county and Fengnan county. Fengrun county belongs to Tangshan administrative office.
In 1976, after the Great Tangshan earthquake, the new Tangshan was rebuilt. In May 1977, with the approval of the State Council, Fengrun new area was established in the east of Fengrun county.
In May 1983, the Tangshan regional administrative office was abolished and the city was in charge of the county. Fengrun County belonged to Tangshan city.
In 2002, the former Fengrun county and the New District merged to form Fengrun district.

In March 1979, the three people's communes of Changzhuang, lizhuangzi and liujiaying, as well as the nine production teams of dongdajie, Baijiagou, guzhuangzi, Sanlitun, liuzhuangzi, Dianzi, dabalizhuang, dongmazhuang and Xinfangzi, were set aside from Fengrun county and were under the jurisdiction of the suburb of Tangshan City (now Kaiping District).
In January 1980, Fengrun New District officially became a district level system, named Tangshan New District, one of the districts of Tangshan city. The above zoning belongs to the new area.
