Hunjiang District Hunjiang district is a municipal district under the jurisdiction of Baishan City, Jilin Province. Historical evolution
the Qing dynasty
During the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty, Hunjiang district was the winter station for the inspection of Maoer Mountain. Since the Tonghua Yuhuang mountain along the Hun River, every ferry, it is called a river. Here is the eighth ferry, so Hunjiang district was originally called Badaojiang. Hunjiang district is named after Hunjiang River flowing through the territory. In 1877, Mao'er Mountain (also known as Mao'er Mountain) was set up for inspection and stationed in Badaojiang. General Chonghou of Shengjing set up a county in Daojiang, the head of tongjiajiang (now Hunjiang). Guangxu 28 years (1902), the county, Maoer Mountain inspection changed to Badaojiang inspection.
The Republic of China
At the beginning of the Republic of China, it still followed the system of the Qing Dynasty. In 1913, there were five roads in Fengtian province, including East, West, South, North and middle roads. In 1915, Badaojiang was changed into Badaojiang auxiliary Bureau. In 1935, Badaojiang town was built. In 1946, it was transferred to Liaoning Province.
New China
The people's Republic of China belongs to Liaodong province at the beginning. In 1949, it was transferred to Liaodong province. In August 1954, it was under the jurisdiction of Jilin Province and Tonghua area. In 1956, Badaojiang town was established. On March 23, 1959, the Jilin provincial Party committee approved the abolition of Linjiang county and the establishment of Hunjiang city. On January 7, 1960, the State Council approved Hunjiang municipal government to be stationed in Badaojiang town. It is the seat of Hunjiang city. In 1985, Badaojiang district was established. On February 4, 1985, the State Council approved (Guo Han Zi No. 17) to abolish Tonghua district and implement the system of city Governing County, and Tonghua district was divided into different districts. Tonghua Prefecture governs Tonghua and Hunjiang county-level cities, which are upgraded to prefecture level cities. in February 2010, Badaojiang district was renamed Hunjiang district.

The theoretical reserve of the whole region is 40211 kW, of which 27500 kW can be developed. Nine power stations can be built, of which five are above 500 kW, with an annual power generation of 82.5 million kwh. The power stations built and put into operation include Hekou power station, dajinggou power station, Sandaogou power station, qujiaying reservoir water supply power station and residual water power station, with a total installed capacity of 5290 kW. The proposed hydropower stations include four turnout hydropower station, qujiayingwei hydropower station and Chunfeng hydropower station.
