Jizhou District Jizhou District, formerly known as Luling, is located in the middle of Jiangxi Province and the middle reaches of Ganjiang River. It was established in August 2000 by the former county-level Ji'an city. It is the political, economic and cultural center of Ji'an City, with a total area of 425 square kilometers and a built-up area of 43.5 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 4 towns, 7 streets, 89 administrative villages and 46 communities, with a total population of 368000. In the region, there are 10000 hectares of cultivated land and 15700 hectares of forest land, with a forest coverage rate of 31.1%. Beijing Kowloon Railway, 105 National Road, Gan Yue expressway, Quan Bi Expressway and a Shen Expressway run through the territory.
Jizhou has a history of more than 1670 years. It is the seat of the county, road, road and government. It is known as "Jinlu mausoleum", "Jiangnan Wangjun" and "the nation of literary integrity". Jizhou is surrounded by clear water and has many scenic spots. The "red, green and ancient" tourism resources complement each other. In 2018, the GDP of the whole region reached 17.85 billion yuan, an increase of 9.3%; the total fiscal revenue reached 1.769 billion yuan, an increase of 11.7%; the investment in fixed assets increased by 11.6%; the total retail sales of social consumer goods reached 7.04 billion yuan, an increase of 10.9%; the per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents reached 37290 yuan and 16836 yuan, an increase of 8.7% and 10.2%, respectively, which won the title of advanced comprehensive evaluation of high-quality development in the city. Since 2014, it has won the first-class advanced county (city, district) in the comprehensive evaluation of scientific development of the whole province for four consecutive years.

In 590, Luling county was changed into Jizhou, and a new city was built in zhaogongtang, which belongs to Luling county and is the capital of Jizhou.
In the first year of Yongchun of Tang Dynasty (682), the old city of zhaogongtang was abandoned and a new state city was built in the area under the jurisdiction of Beimen street in the present urban area, and Luling county government was moved from Shiyang ancient city.
In the first year of Tang Tianbao (742), Jizhou was changed into Luling county.
In the first year of Qianyuan (758), Luling was rebuilt as Jizhou.
In the third year of Chunhua (992), Emperor Taizong of Song Dynasty was changed into Jizhou army.
In 1277, the army of Jizhou was abolished and renamed Jizhou road.
In the first year of Yuanzhen (1295), Jizhou road was changed to Ji'an road.
In the first year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1368), Ji'an road was changed into Ji'an mansion. Luling county is the seat of state, road and government.
In 1914, Ji'an Prefecture was abolished as Ji'an County, belonging to Luling Road (zhiyichun).
In 1926, Luling road was abandoned and Ji'an County was directly under Jiangxi Province.
In 1932, the ninth district office was set up in Ji'an.
In 1939, the ninth administrative region was changed to the third administrative region.
In November 1979, Ji'an County government moved from Ji'an city to Dunhou town.
On June 19, 1985, Baitang Township and Qingtang township of Ji'an City merged and renamed Baitang township.
On November 17, 1993, Tianyu Township and Xingqiao Township were abolished and Tianyu Township and Xingqiao town were established in Ji'an city.
On March 19, 1996, Ji'an City abolished Zhangshan Township, Changtang Township and Hedong Township, and established Zhangshan Town, Changtang town and Hedong town.
On June 25, 1999, the water office of Ji'an city was abolished, and the residents under its jurisdiction were divided and transferred according to the principle of territorial management.
In 2000, the district had jurisdiction over 5 streets, 3 towns and 3 townships.
On May 11, 2000, Ji'an Prefecture and county level Ji'an City were abolished, and prefecture level Ji'an city was established, with the municipal government in Jizhou district. Ji'an City has Jizhou district and Qingyuan district. Jizhou district has jurisdiction over five sub district offices of Gunan Town, Yongshu Town, Wenshan Town, xixiqiao town and Beimen town of Ji'an City at the original county level, as well as Baitang Township, Hebu Township, Changtang Town, Xingqiao town and Zhangshan town as well as qulai Township which is transferred from Ji'an County. The district government is located in Yangming East Road.
On December 4, 2001, the organizational system of Baitang township was abolished and Baitang sub district office was established in Jizhou district.
On December 10, 2015, the organizational system of Hebu township was abolished and Hebu sub district office was established in Jizhou district.
