Yitong Manchu Autonomous County Yitong Manchu Autonomous County, belonging to Siping City, Jilin Province, is the only Manchu Autonomous County in Jilin Province. "Yitong" is transliterated from Manchu, originated from the name of Yitong River, which means "grand and turbulent River".
Yitong Manchu Autonomous County is located in the middle of Jilin Province, on the upper reaches of Yitong River, in the south of the provincial capital Changchun City, bordering Shuangyang District of Changchun City in the East, Panshi City in the southeast, Dongfeng and Dongliao counties in the south, Lishu County in the southwest, Gongzhuling City in the southwest and northwest, and Changchun Suburb in the north. It is 76 kilometers long from east to west and 66 kilometers wide from north to south, covering an area of 2523 square kilometers.
It was first promoted to Yitong Prefecture in 1882 and Zhili Prefecture in 1909. In 1913, the state was withdrawn and the county was established. On August 30, 1988, Yitong county was abolished and Yitong Manchu Autonomous County was established.
In November 2016, Yitong Manchu Autonomous County of Siping City was rated as the second batch of national global tourism demonstration areas by the National Tourism Administration. On December 29, 2018, it was named the Sixth Batch of national demonstration areas (units) for national unity and progress by the National People's commission. In 2019, it was listed as the second batch of national agricultural product quality and safety counties.

In Jin Dynasty, Yitong belonged to yilou. in the southern and Northern Dynasties, it belonged to mount bujibai. The Sui Dynasty belongs to Koguryo. In Tang Dynasty, Bohai State was established, which was divided into five capitals, fifteen prefectures and sixty-two prefectures. Yitong belonged to Rongzhou, Xiande Prefecture of Zhongjing. In the Five Dynasties, Liao destroyed Bohai State and established Dongdan state. Yitong belonged to the Department of emperor Huifa. In 1105, a Guda, the leader of Wanyan tribe of Nuzhen nationality, defeated Liao and became emperor, and founded the kingdom of Jin. Yitong belonged to Xianping Road, Tokyo. in Yuan Dynasty, there were 11 provinces in the whole country, seven roads in Liaoyang, and Kaiyuan Road in Xianping in Yitong. In the early Ming Dynasty, the provincial system of Yuan Dynasty was abolished, and nurgandu division was set up in Northeast China. Yitong belonged to tashanwei, lekeshanwei, hulanshanwei, wuerjianshanwei, yidunhewei, Yaha Hewei, wusuwei, musuhewai, huluhewai, etc. at the end of Ming Dynasty, Nuzhen in Haixi rose and formed four tribes: Yehe, hada, Huifa and Wula. In the first year of Tianming (1616), Nuerhachi, the leader of Jurchen in Jianzhou, established Houjin. In the 47th year of Wanli (1619), Yehe was destroyed, and the whole territory of Yitong belonged to Nuzhen of Jianzhou. In 1681, the post road from the capital to Jilin was built, and yitongdidang was in the middle of Shengjing to Jilin. There were five post stations of Horo, Yehe, helsu, altanemole and Ibadan in Mongolia. In 1728, Yitong set up two banners, Xianghuang and zhenghuang, subordinate to Yongji hall. Jiaqing 19 years (1814), set up Yitong River Sub defense inspection, under the Jilin Department. Guangxu eight years (1882), built yitongzhou, Jilin Province. In 1945, the Communist Party of China recovered Yitong and established Tongyang County Democratic United Government. In the 35th year of the Republic of China (March 15, 1946), Tongyang county was abolished and Yitong county and Shuangyang county were restored. In November 1956, Yitong county was under the jurisdiction of Gongzhuling Commissioner's office. In 1958, Yitong county was under the jurisdiction of Siping Commissioner's office. In August 1983, Yitong county was under the jurisdiction of Siping City. In February 1985, Yitong county was under the jurisdiction of Gongzhuling City. In December of the same year, Yitong County returned to Siping City. On August 30, 1988, with the approval of the State Council, Yitong county was abolished and Yitong Manchu Autonomous County was established under Siping City.
