Lishu County Lishu County, belonging to Siping City, Jilin Province, is located in the southwest of Jilin Province, in the hinterland of Songliao plain, bounded by Liaohe River to the east of Gongzhuling City in the East, adjacent to Shuangliao City in the north, Changtu County in the West and Siping City in the south. It is between 123 ° 45 ′ - 124 ° 53 ′ E and 43 ° 02 ′ - 43 ° 46 ′ n, covering a total area of 4209 square kilometers. The terrain is high in the southeast and low in the northwest. Lishu County was established in 1878, formerly known as Fenghua county. It used to be the birthplace of Nuerhachi "Fujin", Emperor Taiji's mother, empress xiaocigao, and empress Cixi's ancestral home. Lishu County has the reputation of "northeast granary" and "Songliao pearl".

The origin of place names
Lishu County, formerly known as Fenghua County, was called pianmiancheng in ancient times, commonly known as business street. At that time, Fenghua county was located in the northern part of the border. It was a place where "bandits haunted" and "diehards kept stealing". In order to educate local diehards, the rulers publicized that they wanted to "obey Wanghua", so they named it Fenghua county. Lishu city is not a city, but a small village. "It's said that there are many kinds of pears in the city because of its name.".

Based on the research of the Changshan site in the territory, we can see that the Lishu people have been living and reproducing since the Neolithic age, and the northern minorities such as Sushen, Fuyu, Gaogouli, Xianbei, Qidan, Nuzhen, Mongolia and so on have lived in succession.
Fuyu was in Han Dynasty, Fuyu was in Jin Dynasty, later Wei Dynasty and Qi Dynasty, Gaogouli was in Sui Dynasty, and Bohai was in Tang Dynasty.
In the Liao and Jin Dynasties, Lishu County belonged to Hanzhou. The Institute has moved many times. In the second year of Tiande's reign (1150), the prefectural office was moved from Liuhe County (now Bamiancheng, Changtu County, Liaoning Province) to jiubaixiying (now pianmiancheng, Xiuyan village, Baishan Township, Lishu County).

The Ming Dynasty abolished the government and set up the guard. This place belongs to liaohaiwei (the old city of Changtu). In 1513, under the leadership of the tribal chief Zhu Kongge, the first group of talumuwei, a Nuzhen nationality living in the Songhua River and Nenjiang river basins, moved southward to settle on the banks of the Yehe River in the county.
In the Qing Dynasty, it was bounded by Liutiao xinbian, a part of Xiliushui paddock in Shengjing in the south, and the banner territory of King Darhan in Horqin Left Wing of Zhelimu League in Inner Mongolia in the north. In the eighth year of Jiaqing (1803), when the king of Mongolia recruited the land for reclamation, Han people from Shandong and Hebei moved in. In the first year of Daoguang (1821), Changshu hall set up lishucheng in the north of the area under its jurisdiction, which was divided into four parts: anti light and anti abrasion. It has jurisdiction over 9 communities, including Shoushan, Ruixiang, Xinen, Huiyuan, Yonglong, TAIDING, Yunshun, Enhua and Zhenshun, and 472 natural villages. Guangxu four years (1878) set up county, named Fenghua County, under the Changtu Prefecture. In 1882, the southern part of the county belonged to Yitong Prefecture.
During the period of the Republic of China, the system of government, department and Prefecture was abolished, and the system of province, road and county was implemented. In 1913, the southern part of the county belonged to Yitong county. On March 1, 1914, Fenghua county was renamed Lishu County, under the jurisdiction of taochang Road, Fengtian province. In 1929, Fengtian province was renamed Liaoning Province, and Lishu County was subordinate to Liaoning Province.
During the period of Japanese puppet rule, in 1941, the northern cities and counties of Liaoning Province were set up as pseudo Siping Province, and Lishu County was its subordinate county.
In 1945, after the victory of "93", the puppet Siping province was abolished and Liaobei province was established. In January 1949, Liaobei province was withdrawn and Liaoxi province was established. Lishu County was subordinate to Liaobei province and Liaoxi province.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Liaoxi province was withdrawn on June 19, 1954, and Lishu County was transferred to Jilin Province on July 21, 1954.
In 1955, the people's Government of Lishu County changed its name to the people's Committee of Lishu County. In Lishu County, the ordinal names were cancelled and the original names were restored.
In April 1956, it was assigned to Gongzhuling District of Jilin Province.
On July 3, 1956, the State Council approved the establishment of Huaide special zone. It has jurisdiction over Huaide, Lishu and other 10 counties. On October 6, Huaide district was renamed Gongzhuling district.
On October 23, 1958, Siping district was set up.
On February 6, 1960, with the approval of Jilin Provincial People's Committee, Lishu County People's committee moved from Lishu town to Guojiadian town. On April 23, 1964, with the approval of Jilin Provincial People's Committee, Lishu County People's committee moved from Guojiadian town to Lishu town.
On August 30, 1983, Siping district was abolished and changed into a prefecture level city. Lishu County was under the jurisdiction of Siping district and Siping City.

On February 4, 1971, Siping district was renamed Siping district. Lishu County is under the jurisdiction of Siping district.
In January 1976, Lishu County governed three towns, 31 communes and 303 production brigades.
At the beginning of 1980, Lishu County had 5 towns, 28 communes, 333 production teams and 2536 production teams. In June, Lishu County Revolutionary Committee was abolished and Lishu County People's government was established.
In August 1983, Siping district was abolished and Siping City was established. Lishu County was under the jurisdiction of Siping City.
On November 26, 1991, with the approval of the people's Government of Jilin Province, Shiling township of Lishu County was abolished and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Shiling Town.
On March 6, 1992, Shenyang, Wanfa, Donghe and Taiping townships in Lishu County were abolished and Shenyang, Wanfa, Donghe and Taiping towns were established.
On November 14, 1994, Linhai Township and Sanjiazi township of Lishu County were abolished and Linhai town and Sanjiazi town were established.
On June 29, 1995, with the approval of Jilin Provincial People's government, Guojiadian township of Lishu County was cancelled. The administrative area under its jurisdiction was put under the jurisdiction of Guojiadian town. On June 20, 2000, with the approval of Siping municipal government and the Development Zone Office of Jilin provincial government, Siping Liaohe agricultural reclamation management zone was formally established, which is under the first-class financial management system at the county level. Under the jurisdiction of Lishu County, Gujiazi Town, deer farm in Hafu village of Shiling Town, LVYE group (now Shuangshan duck farm), Shuangliao farm and Shuangliao sheep farm are put under the administrative jurisdiction of the administrative region. Now the management area is located in Gujiazi town.
