Yuhong District Yuhong District, subordinate to Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, is one of the ten municipal districts of Shenyang City. It is located in the northwest of Shenyang City, adjacent to Tiexi District and Huanggu District in the East, Xinmin City in the west, Sujiatun District across Hunhe River in the South and Shenbei New District in the north. The total area of the district is 499 square kilometers, of which the urban planning area is 80 square kilometers, with a permanent resident population of 1.073 million.
In 2016, Yuhong District's GDP reached 36 billion yuan, 24.3% lower than that in the same period of 2015.
Yuhong District mainly has yonganqiao, Puhe ecological corridor, Dingxiang Lake Park and other scenic spots.
Historical evolution
In 1653, the Qing Dynasty issued the "order of recruiting people to reclaim land in Eastern Liaoning", and the immigrants from Shandong and Hebei moved to Beiling township to form villages.
On November 2, 1947, the whole territory of Shenyang City and county was liberated. The municipal government set up suburban offices, which were divided into districts. There was mashanjiazi District in Hongzhong.
In 1949, the people's governments of Sanjiazi district and Shaling District in Yuhong were established, with a total of 94 administrative villages.
In 1952, there were four districts in Hong, namely, mashanjiazi, shalingbao, pingluobao and panjiantai.
In 1954, the Shenyang municipal government decided to set up the people's governments in the southern, northern, Eastern and western suburbs of Shenyang. The western suburbs took over the villages in Yangshi area of the former Tiexi District.
In 1964, the Liaoning provincial Party committee decided to set up a new administrative region, Yuhong District, under the jurisdiction of Tiexi District of Shenyang City: Yuhong commune, Daxing commune, Shaling commune, Yangshi commune, zhaijia commune, Dapan commune, Gaohua commune, Zhangyi commune, Zhongchao commune, and Beiling commune, Zaohua commune and Majia commune under the jurisdiction of Huanggu District.
In 1965, Pingluo commune was divided into Beiling commune and Lingdong commune.
In 1970, when the former Guanghui farm in Shenyang was divided into two communes, it was divided into Laobian and liberated two communes.
In 1999, Zhai hometown, Zaohua Township and zhangyizhan Township were abolished in Hongqu District, and zhaijia Town, Zaohua town and zhangyizhan town were established.
On June 4, 2001, Gaohua township was abolished and Gaohua town was established.
In May 2002, with the approval of Shenyang Municipal People's government, Tiexi District and Shenyang Economic and Technological Development Zone jointly set up Tiexi New District (not a formal administrative district). Some administrative areas of Shaling Town, Yuhong Township, Yangshi Township and Daqing Sino Korean friendship Township in Yuhong District (Shenyang Economic and Technological Development Zone) are divided into Tiexi New Area for management.
On December 13, 2002, liaozheng No. 323 reply: 1. Cancel Yuhong Township and set up Yuhong sub district office. 2. Yangshi township was abolished and Yangshi sub district office was established. 3. Beiling township was abolished and Beiling sub district office was established. 4. Lingdong township was abolished and Lingdong sub district office was established. 5. Shaling town was abolished and Shaling sub district office was set up. 6. Jiefang Township and Laobian Township were abolished and Guanghui township was merged.
In August 2003, zhaijia town and Daqing Sino Korean friendship Township in Yuhong District were put under the management of Tiexi New District. The administrative region of Tiexi New Area has been adjusted, and some administrative regions (Shenyang Economic and Technological Development Zone), which originally belonged to Shaling Town, Yuhong Township and Yangshi township of Hongqu District, have been assigned to Tiexi New Area.
In 2005, it has jurisdiction over 9 streets, 7 towns, 1 Township and 1 ethnic township in Hongqu district.
On January 19, 2007, Liaoning Provincial Government (liaozheng No. 18) approved: it agreed to cancel zhaijia town and Daqing Sino Korean friendship Township in Hongqu district and set up zhaijia and Daqing Sino Korean friendship sub District Office (actually managed by Tiexi New District).
On February 28, 2010, according to the decision of Shenyang municipal Party committee and municipal government on the local adjustment of the administrative divisions of our city, Yuhong District delimited the land to the east of Lingdong street and Huanghe North Street and Beita street, and governed 12 streets.
In December, 2019, with the approval of Shenyang Municipal People's Government (Shen Zheng [2019] No. 101), Daxing street was cancelled and its jurisdiction area was divided into mashanjia street; Yuhong street was cancelled and its three communities of Dongmin, qianmin and Heping, four villages of Guanghui, Aiguo, Quansheng and Xingsheng were divided into Shaling street, and two communities of Hongqi and Daidai were divided into Yingbin Road street.

Topography
In the flood area, the terrain is high in the northeast and slightly inclined to the southwest. Except for the Piedmont inclined plain in huangtukan area of Pingluo Town, they all belong to the lower Liaohe plain. The terrain is flat and open, generally between 30-40 meters above sea level.

Yuhong District is a warm temperate continental semi humid monsoon climate, which is characterized by four distinct seasons, hot and rainy seasons, cold and dry seasons, sufficient light and concentrated rainfall. The annual average temperature is 7.5 ℃, the coldest is January, and the hottest is July. The annual average precipitation is 659.6 mm, the annual sunshine hours is 2527 hours, and the sunshine percentage is 57%.
hydrology
There are Hun River, Pu River, Xihe River, Jiulong River and Xiaohun River in the flood area. It has a total length of 149.7 km. Hun River originates from Longgang mountain in Changbai Mountains, flows through eight counties and cities, converges at Sancha River and Taizi River in Haicheng, and flows into Liaodong Bay at the mouth of management. It flows into flood area from Zhongchang railway bridge. The river is 37.2 km long.

In 2020, the permanent resident population of Yuhong District will be 350000 (including prison City, reformatory and armed police personnel). There are 236955 households, 584509 households, 2.47 households, and 322441 registered residence households, of whom 163016 are agricultural households. The residents are composed of 13 ethnic groups, including Han, Manchu, Korean, Xibe, Mongolian, Hui, Miao, Dong, Zhuang, Tujia, Uygur, Russian and Daur.
