Ningming County is located in the southwest of Guangxi, bordering Luping County, Gaolu County, Tingli county and pingliao County of Guangning province. It covers an area of 3705 square kilometers, governs 162 overseas Chinese farms in 7 towns and 6 townships, 1086 villages (communities) and has a total population of 440000. It is inhabited by Zhuang, Han, Yao and other ethnic groups, of which Zhuang population accounts for 82.9%. There are Aidian national first-class port and Aidian, Banlan, Beishan three border people exchange points. The border line is 212 kilometers long, which is the longest County in Guangxi.

Ningming is rich in resources and excellent in ecology, with an area of 1.25 million mu of cultivated land, an annual output of 100000 tons of grain and 3 million tons of sugarcane, a total area of 3.35 million mu of forest, and a forest coverage rate of 60.4%. It is "the national advanced county of grain production", "the national sugar production base county", "the hometown of star anise in China" and "the hometown of Chinese Rosin".

Ningming has a long history and profound culture. Huashan rock art with a history of more than 2000 years is the first world heritage of rock art in China and the first world cultural heritage in Guangxi. The main scenic spots are summarized as "three mountains, four rivers and ten sceneries": "three mountains" are Huashan, Gongmu mountain and Shizishan respectively; "Four Rivers" are Mingjiang River, pailian River, Gongan River and Puxia River respectively; "ten sceneries" are Hecheng morning bell, Laijiang evening drum, single tree forest, Rongfeng sunset, East Lake diaoyue, muzhou Shuangquan, Zhulian yedU, Qianlong academy, Yongping ancient tomb and frontier fortress respectively.

In recent years, Ningming County, guided by Xi Jinping's new socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics, has been maintaining the title of "the country's advanced cultural county" for 23 years in a row, and has been selected as the "2016 most beautiful China list". China has been awarded the "cultural attraction tourist attraction", "folk custom national tourist attraction" and "the most beautiful rural village tourist destination in China". In March 2019, it was selected into the list of counties in the first batch of revolutionary cultural relics protection and utilization areas; on April 24, 2019, the people's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region approved Ningming County to get rid of poverty. Historical evolution

In the 33rd year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (214 BC), the county belonged to Xiang county.

Han Wudi yuan Ding six years (111 BC) for Linchen, Yongji County, is Yulin County. The Three Kingdoms belong to Yulin County at the intersection of Wu states.

The Western Jin Dynasty belongs to Yulin County of Guangzhou. The Eastern Jin Dynasty belongs to Jinxing County of Guangzhou.

The southern and Northern dynasties belong to Jinxing County of Guangzhou in the Southern Song Dynasty. Sui belongs to Lingnan Yulin County.

The Tang Dynasty belonged to Yongzhou in Lingnan. The Five Dynasties and ten States belong to Yongzhou in the Southern Han Dynasty.

After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to Longzhou special region of Guangxi Province in 1950, Chongzuo special region in 1951, Yongning special region in 1952, Guixi Zhuang Autonomous Prefecture of Guangxi Province in 1953 and Nanning special region of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in 1958 (Nanning special region was renamed Nanning region in 1970).

On January 22, 2003, the people's Government of the autonomous region abolished Nanning, established prefecture level Chongzuo City and adjusted the administrative region of Nanning city. Heng County, Binyang County, Shanglin County, Mashan County and Long'an county were under the jurisdiction of Nanning City, Chongzuo county was renamed Jiangzhou District, prefecture level Chongzuo City was under the jurisdiction of Fusui, Daxin, Tiandeng, Longzhou, Ningming County and Jiangzhou District, and Pingxiang City at the county level.
