Estuarine area, Dongying City, located in the northern part of Shandong Province, and the north side of the Yellow River's mouth. The territory is a typical the Yellow River delta landform. The terrain is high in the South and low in the north, and high in the West and low in the East. It is a continental climate with warm temperate monsoon. It has 2 streets and 4 towns, with a total area of 2267.44 square kilometers. In 2017, 220258 people registered residence.
Most of the estuarine areas are retreated from the sea. At the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, from the ancient river Tuhai River, dayangpu of the sea of people, from Jishui Daqing River, north of Tiemenguan of Lijin sea of people, to the territory and land formation. From time to time, salt people, fishermen and waterway merchants from other places came and went. In 1830, residents began to appear. In Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Zhongxin township of Zhanhua County in Wuding Prefecture and Yonghe township of Lijin County.
In 2017, Hekou District achieved a GDP of 29.113 billion yuan, an increase of 6.5% at comparable prices. By industry, the added value of the primary industry was 1.409 billion yuan, an increase of 5.4%; the added value of the secondary industry was 14.498 billion yuan, an increase of 7.1%; the added value of the tertiary industry was 13.207 billion yuan, an increase of 6.0%.
Historical evolution
Most of the estuarine area is a retreat from the sea. It was inhabited in 1830.
According to the records of jianzhizhi in Shandong Province, this place belonged to Binzhou, Wuding Prefecture, during the reign of Qianlong in Qing Dynasty. Guangxu years belong to Zhanhua County Zhongxin Township and Lijin County Yonghe township.
In 1931, the national government changed the setting of township to that of district (town), belonging to the sixth and seventh districts of Zhanhua County and the Fifth District of Lijin County.
In November 1941, the eastern region was divided into three districts of Kenli County (in Luojia town).
In January 1942, Qinghe District set up a coastal defense office in Guoju village as a county-level administrative organ. In August, the six districts of Zhanhua County were divided into six southern districts and six northern districts with Yihezhuang as the boundary, and eight districts were established. In September, the western part of the seven districts was divided into three districts.
In October 1943, the three districts were merged into seven districts. In May, the coastal defense office was led by the Kenli Prefecture Committee of Qinghe district.
In February 1944, it was under the leadership of Bohai administrative office. In April, eight districts were merged into North six districts.
In March 1945, the southern and Northern six districts merged, still known as the six districts.
In the spring of 1946, the coastal defense office was abolished, and the guojiazhuzi area was merged into the seven districts of Zhanhua County.
In June 1947, the third district of Kenli County was changed into Luozhen District, and Xiaomiao township was established.
In March 1948, Haibin county was established. The northern part of the seven districts and the area around Guoju were classified as Haibin county. Haibin county set up an office in Guoju.
In June 1949, the six and seven districts of Zhanhua County were changed into Yihe district and Taiping District respectively.
In February 1950, Taiping District was renamed as the seventh district and Yihe district as the eighth district. At the same time, Haibin county was abolished, and Guoju district was restored to Zhanhua County, which was ten districts. The eastern part is Luozhen District of Kenli County.
In 1955, the three districts were renamed Luojia District, with jurisdiction over Guangsheng Township, Anyi Township and Xiaomiao township.
In March 1956, the organizational system of Kenli County was abolished, and Xiaomiao and suiluo town in Tongxing Township were assigned to Lijin County. In May, Zhanhua County merged Guoju Township, Xinhu Township, Gengju Township and Shunjiang township of ten districts into seven districts.
In 1957, the area of Zhanhua County was divided into Yihe Town, Taiping Township, Guoju Township, Xinhe Township, Xinhu Township, Donghua Township, Damu Township, liutuo Township, quanxue Township and renhan township. The part of Lijin County remains unchanged.
In September 1958, the people's commune was established, and Yihe commune, liutuo commune, Guoju commune and Taiping commune (also known as "Yuejin nine, ten, eleven and twelve people's communes") were established in the western region. In the East, it belongs to Luozhen commune, Lianhe commune and Tongxing commune in Lijin County. In November, Lijin County was merged into Zhanhua County, and the territory belonged to Zhanhua County.
In October 1959, after the restoration of Kenli County, in July 1960, the communes of Taiping, Guoju, Yihe, liutuo, Luozhen, Tongxing, Lianhe under the jurisdiction of Zhanhua County were assigned to Kenli County. In the same year, Tongxing and Lianhe communes were transformed into farms under the jurisdiction of Bohai Bureau of agricultural reclamation in Shandong Province.
In September 1961, Zhanhua County and Lijin County were divided, and the four communes of Taiping, Guoju, Yihe and liutuo, which originally belonged to Kenli County, were restored to Zhanhua County. Luozhen commune still belongs to Kenli County.
In February 1963, the large commune was transformed into a small commune under which the western part of Zhanhua County belonged to Taiping District and Yihe district.
In November 1964, Luozhen District of Kenli County and Tongxing and Lianhe farms of Bohai Agricultural Reclamation Bureau of Shandong Province were assigned to Lijin County.
From February 1966 to April 1967, Junma farm of Jinan military region took over the state-owned Gudao Communist Youth League forest farm and Tongxing farm. In 1968, the district was withdrawn and merged into a small commune. In the western part of the territory (belonging to Zhanhua County), Cheng Liyi and the people's commune, Sikou people's commune, Taiping People's commune, Xinhu people's commune, and Guoju fishery commune (renamed Haiphong fishery commune in March 1969). Liuhe people's commune was established in the south of Lijin County. The eastern part of the territory is under the jurisdiction of Kenli County.
In July 1972, Shengli Oilfield set up the estuarine headquarters and the second drilling headquarters in Hekou, and the isolated island headquarters in Gudao.
In 1973, Zhanhua County set up an office in Hekou.
In January 1979, Kenli County set up an island office in Gudao.
In November 1982, Hekou District was established as a municipal district of Dongying City according to the State Council [1982] Guo Han Zi No. 249 "reply on the establishment of Dongying City in Shandong Province".
On January 12, 1984, the Dongfa [1984] No.9 and No.10 documents of the Dongying Municipal Party committee of the Communist Party of China announced the members of the leading group of the Hekou District Party committee and the district government, marking the formal establishment of Hekou District. In September, Hekou District People's government was established, with jurisdiction over Xinhu Township, Taiping Township, Liuhe Township, Sikou Township, Yihe Town, Gudao office, Hekou office, 4 townships, 1 town, 2 offices and 163 villagers' committees.
In June 1992, Shandong Provincial People's Government approved the cancellation of Gudao office and the establishment of Gudao town and Xianhe town.
In February 2001, the system of Sikou township was abolished and Sikou Township and Hekou office were merged to form Hekou street.
In April 2009, Donggang Village of Xianhe town was under the jurisdiction of dongyinggang economic development zone. It was renamed Donggang Village, dongyinggang economic development zone.
On May 8, 2010, with the approval of the provincial government, the district administrative divisions were adjusted. We should abolish Liuhe Township, set up Liuhe street, abolish Xinhu Township, establish Xinhu Town, abolish Taiping Township, and merge its administrative region into Xinhu town.

Donghekou district is located in the north of Shandong Province, north of the Yellow River Estuary. Its geographical coordinates are 37 ° 45 ′~ 38 ° 10 ′ N and 118 ° 10 ′~ 119 ° 05 ′ e. it faces Bohai Sea in the East and North. The highest point in the south of Yihezhuang is the old channel of the Yellow River, with the highest elevation of 7.6 meters (Yellow Sea datum). The main parent material of the shallow soil is the Yellow river alluvium. In history, the Yellow river changed its course and accumulated silt, and the river water was repeatedly cut and silted, so it formed a variety of geomorphic types. According to the investigation of relevant data, the main geomorphic types of the area are gentle hillock and river beach highland, shallow flat depression, slightly inclined flat land and beach land.

It is cold in winter and hot in summer, with four distinct seasons, sufficient light, and rainy and hot in the same season. The climate difference in the territory is not obvious. It belongs to the deciduous broad-leaved forest region of warm temperate zone. The natural vegetation is dominated by herbs, with few vegetation types and single structure. The annual average temperature is 14.2 ℃, which is 0.9 ℃ higher than the average over the years; the annual extreme maximum temperature is 36.7 ℃, which appears on July 25 and 30, which is 3.4 ℃ lower than the extreme maximum over the years; the annual extreme minimum temperature is - 16.9 ℃, which appears on January 23, breaking through the historical extreme value.
