History of construction

In the seventh year of Xianfeng (1857), the emperor Wenzong of the Qing Dynasty established the Mozhugongka sect, which was originally under the management of jiangjiabu and later under the management of the local government.

In 1956, the office of mozhugong kazong was established.

In September 1959, Mozhugongka and zhikongzong merged and established Mozhugongka County, which is subordinate to Lhasa city.
