Fugong County Fugong County is subordinate to Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture. Historical evolution
The Western Han Dynasty belongs to Yuecui Prefecture. The Eastern Han Dynasty belongs to Yongchang County. The Three Kingdoms and two Jin dynasties belong to Yunnan Province.
Nanzhao of Tang Dynasty is the place of Tieqiao festival of Mou Tong (today's Heqing). Song Dali belongs to Lijiang Linxi County (now Weixi County). In the morning of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Heqing Prefecture and Weixi garrison Hall of Lijiang Prefecture.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the first team of nuqiu border settlement team settled in shangpa town (county) and set up shangpa border settlement office. Fugong began to set up the government. In 1916, it was renamed shangpa administrative office, in 1928, it was renamed leisure Administration Bureau, and in 1935, it was renamed Fugong Administration Bureau. It was peacefully liberated in June 1949.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was changed into Fugong County, belonging to Lijiang special region; in 1952, it was changed into Fugong Lisu Autonomous Region; in 1954, it was changed into a county.
In 1956, it was subordinate to Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture.
In 1986, the organizational system of Bijiang county was abolished. The northern jiakedi District, zilika district and Pihe district were merged into Fugong County in the north, and the southern Gudeng district and Luoben district were merged into Lushui county.

Topography
Fugong County is located in the hinterland of Nujiang Valley, the world natural heritage "Three Parallel Rivers" between Biluo snow mountain and Gaoligong Mountain in the middle of Hengduan Mountains in Northwest Yunnan. It spans 23 kilometers from east to west and 112 kilometers from north to south. The terrain in the territory is high in the north and low in the south. The whole terrain is composed of towering mountains and deep turbulent rivers. In the East is Biluo snow mountain, in the west is Gaoligong Mountain. The Nujiang River runs through the whole territory from north to south, forming a long and narrow "V" shaped valley from north to south, 17.5-28.3 thousand meters wide from east to west, 116.5 kilometers long from north to south.
The highest point in the county is the galapai peak of Biluo snow mountain, with an altitude of 4379 meters, and the lowest point is the Nujiang River at the junction with Lushui County, with an altitude of 1010 meters and a relative elevation difference of 3369 meters. It is a typical mountain landform of high mountains and valleys. Shangpa Town, the county seat, is 1190.9 meters above sea level.

The climate of Fugong mainly belongs to subtropical monsoon climate. However, due to its location in the canyon, wide altitude difference, and the influence of Indian Ocean monsoon and Pacific monsoon, coupled with the cold air from the north of Qinghai Tibet Plateau and complex geographical and topographical factors, the climate changes vertically obviously, forming six climate zones, namely subtropical zone, north subtropical zone, warm temperate zone, cold temperate zone, sub frigid zone and frigid zone . Fugong County is rich in hydropower resources. The Nujiang River runs from north to south, with a flow of 129 kilometers and an annual runoff of 42.59 billion cubic meters. In addition to the main stream of Nujiang River, there are more than 160 rivers, such as mugujia, Shidi, Yamu, Lishadi, mukeji, mujiajia, etc., which originate from biluoxue mountain and Gaoligong Mountain respectively. The agricultural soil is mostly mountain yellow brown loam, and paddy soil is developed on the alluvial and proluvial parent materials on both sides of the river valley.
