Pingle County Pingle County, formerly known as Zhaozhou, belongs to Guilin city of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is located in the northeast of Guangxi and the southeast of Guilin city. It is adjacent to Zhongshan County in the East, Zhaoping in the south, Yangshuo in the northwest and Gongcheng in the north, with a total area of 1919.34 square kilometers. There are six towns, three townships and one ethnic township, with a total population of 441200. There are 13 ethnic groups, including Han, Yao, Zhuang and Hui.
In 2015, the GDP of Pingle county was 10.196 billion yuan, the per capita GDP was 26402 yuan, the fiscal revenue was 470 million yuan, the per capita disposable income of urban residents was 25430 yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 9810 yuan.
Pingle county is located in the subtropical monsoon climate zone, with short winter and long summer, mild climate, sufficient sunshine and abundant rainfall. The landform of Pingle county is a combination of low and medium mountains, hills and karst. Surrounded by mountains in the East, South and southwest, it is one of the branches of the Nanling Mountains.
The main tourist attractions of Pingle County include Rongjin millennium old banyan, lengshuishijingyuan, Xianjia hot spring, Guijiang scenic spot, Lijiang scenic spot, etc. Pingle county is the boundary point of Lijiang River. The north of Pingle is called Lijiang River, and the south is called Guijiang river. It is one of the famous Guilin Tourist Areas.

In the first year of Wu Ganlu in the Three Kingdoms (265 A.D.), Fuchuan County was divided into Pingle County, named after the Pingle River (leshui) in the north of the county. The county is located in Tangzha village, which is the third county of Shi'an county and remains unchanged from Jin Dynasty.
In the Six Dynasties, Song Dynasty was the first county to be founded, and Qi Fu was the second county from Shi'an county to Sui Dynasty.
The fourth year of Wude (621) of Tang Dynasty was divided into Shi'an county and Pingle county. It was divided into Pingle County, ZOUMAPING county and Shating county. The state government is attached to Nanzhou village in urban and rural areas. In the eighth year of Wude (625), Jiang Qixian, the governor of lezhou, moved both the state and the county to the present county.
In 634, lezhou was changed to Zhaozhou (named after zhaogangtan in the west of the county).
The first year of Zhengsheng (695) was divided into Yongping Township and Yongping County.
In 742, Zhaozhou was renamed Pingle County, which belongs to Pingle county.
In the first year of Qianyuan (758), Pingle county was renamed Zhaozhou, which belongs to Pingle county.
In the Five Dynasties, it belonged to Chu first and then to the Southern Han Dynasty, which was under the jurisdiction of the Later Zhou Dynasty.
In Song Dynasty, it belonged to Guangnan road first, and then to Guangnan Road West. Kaibao five years (971) from Yongping County into Pingle county.
Dazhong Xiangfu moved to the east of the city in the first year (1008).
In 1301, Zhaozhou changed its name to Pingle and was promoted to Pingle county.

In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Pingle county was directly under Pingle Prefecture. In June of the second year of the Republic of China (1913), Pingle Prefecture was abolished. Pingle County belonged to Lijiang road. In June of the third year of the Republic of China (1914), Lijiang road was renamed Guilin road, and Pingle county still belonged to it.
In October 1926, the road was abandoned and Pingle county was divided into districts. Pingle County belonged to the Pingle militia district (the actual implementation was from the winter of the 19th year to the May of the 21st year of the Republic of China).
On April 6, 1932, Guilin militia district was under the jurisdiction of Pingle militia district and nine counties.
In October 1933, Pingle district was established.
In 1934, the militia district was changed into an administrative supervision district.
In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), the administrative supervision area was changed to the administrative supervision area, and the office of the Commissioner of administrative supervision was set up. In the 38th year of the Republic of China (1949), Pingle County belonged to it.
Pingle county was liberated on December 6, 1949 and belongs to Pingle administrative Commissioner's office.

In July 1958, Pingle district was abolished, Pingle county was under the jurisdiction of Guilin District, and Pingle county Party committee and people's Committee of the CPC moved back to Pingle town.
In November 1998, Guilin city was merged into Guilin city.
In 2000, Pingle County governed six towns, five townships and one ethnic township.

The landform of Pingle county is a combination of middle and low mountains, hills and karst. Surrounded by mountains in the East, South and southwest, it is one of the branches of the Nanling Mountains. The eastern mountain ranges are north-south. The main peak of pomegranate boundary is the highest point in the territory, with an altitude of 1372.1 meters. Under the mountain range is a north-south plain, which inclines from southeast to northwest, forming the landform of high in Southeast and low in Northwest. The southwest mountains meander south.
Longheling, the main peak, is 1149.6 meters above sea level. In the north and middle part, there are peak cluster, peak forest, valley, depression, karst plain and hilly area.
