Historical evolution
In the 16th year of the Yuan Dynasty (1279), eight Xuanwei divisions were set up, Shunyuan and other Xuanwei divisions were set up in the 19th year (1282), and Yixi Buxue Xuanwei division was set up in the 20th year (1283). "Dading Fu Zhi" said: "the stream is not Xue, the water is also west." In history, Shuixi refers to the west of Yachi River in the upper reaches of Wujiang River. After the first year of Zhenyuan (1153), yixibuxue Xuanwei was still attached to Yunnan Province. In Yuan Dynasty, Qingzhen area was in the junction of Shunyuan xuanweisi and yixibuxue xuanweisi.
In the early Ming Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of Xuanwei Department of Guizhou. Hongwu 21 years (1388), set Weiqing station (now Xinhua Road). In 1390, it was divided into xuanweisi and weiqingwei, which was subordinate to Dusi of Guizhou. In the third year of Chongzhen reign (1630), the town of Xiwei (now Weicheng town), heshengsuo (today's tea shop) and weiwusuo (today's Gangou) were set up in liumuzexi, where the six objects of shuiwai (Argo, longer, LONGYE, Diqu, Huana and yinyezhele) were located. This place is the place where the Yi people lived, so it is called "yinyezhele" in Yi language. Because it was set up after the suppression of the Yi people, it is named Zhenxi.
In 1687, weiqingwei, zhenxiwei, heshengsuo and weiwusuo were removed and merged into counties. It was named Qingzhen County after "Qing" of Weiqing and "Zhen" of zhenxiwei. It was located in Weiqing Acropolis (today's urban area) and subordinate to Anshun Prefecture.
In 1914, Qingzhen County belonged to Guixi road. In 1920, Zhili was established in Hunan Province. In the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935), it was subordinate to the first supervision district of Guizhou Province (Anshun). In 1937, it directly belonged to the province.
In 1949, it was subordinate to Guiyang District, in 1952 it was assigned to guiding District, and in 1956 it was assigned to Anshun district. Guiyang City in 1958 and Anshun district in 1963. In 1970, it belonged to Anshun area.
In 1992, it changed its name to Qingzhen City and became a branch of Guiyang City, but its organizational system has not changed.
In July 1995, Qingzhen City was directly under the central government of Guizhou Province.
Since January 1, 1996, Qingzhen City has been under the jurisdiction of Guiyang City entrusted by Guizhou Province.
In January 2014, the State Council approved the establishment of Gui'an New District, and seven villages (residences) in Qingzhen City were transferred to Anxin District of Qingzhen City for trusteeship.

The central, Qinglong, Dongbei and other 20 villages under the jurisdiction of Hongfenghu town as well as the jurisdiction of Xinhua Road, Jianguo Road, Xinmin Road and other 19 neighborhood committees are under the jurisdiction of Qinglong Street, and the administrative area under the jurisdiction of Hongfenghu town is adjusted accordingly. In 2004, Qingzhen municipal government was changed to Qinglong sub district office. On March 27, 2006, the provincial people's government's reply on approving Qingzhen City to adjust part of the administrative divisions of Zhanjie town and Hongfenghu town approved Qingzhen City to adjust part of the administrative divisions of Zhanjie town and Hongfeng Town, and put Luojiaqiao village, which originally belonged to Zhanjie Town, under the jurisdiction of Hongfenghu town.
On November 12, 2007, with the approval of Guiyang municipal government, Xindian town government moved from Xindian Village to Xujiagou village. By the end of 2007, Qingzhen city had jurisdiction over 1 Street, 4 towns, 6 townships (including 3 ethnic townships), 30 neighborhood committees (communities) and 299 administrative villages. By the end of 2010, there were 468000 permanent residents in Qingzhen City. In September 2011, baihuahu township of Qingzhen City was officially transferred to Jinyang New Area for management.
In June 2011, the neighborhood committees of 10 urban districts in Qinglong Street were divided into two community service centers, Hongxin and Xinling. At the end of the year, Qingzhen had jurisdiction over one street, four towns and six townships (three ethnic townships): Qinglong Street, Hongfenghu Town, Zhanjie Town, Weicheng Town, Xindian Town, baihuahu Town, Maige Miao Buyi Township, undercurrent Township, Wangzhuang Buyi Miao Township, Liuchang Miao Township and Liwo township. On April 28, 2012, three community service centers, Baihua, Chaofeng and Hongta, were officially established. On November 15, the State Council approved to put baihuahu Township in Qingzhen City under the jurisdiction of guanshanhu District in Guiyang city.
On December 16, 2013, Guizhou Provincial People's government agreed to abolish Liwo township of Qingzhen City and set up Liwo Town, with the town people's Government stationed in Liwo village and its administrative region unchanged; agreed to abolish undercurrent township of Qingzhen City and set up undercurrent Town, with Weicheng town and Guankou village under the jurisdiction of undercurrent Town, with the town people's Government stationed in Guankou village.
In May 2020, Qingzhen City will set up Qinglongshan, Binhu and Chaofeng streets.
