Shaxian District Shaxian District, subordinate to Sanming City, Fujian Province, is located in the middle of Fujian Province and Sanming City, with a total area of 1815.09 square kilometers and a total population of 272000. It is one of the 34 Central Soviet counties in China. As of June 2020, Shaxian County has jurisdiction over 2 streets, 6 towns and 4 townships. Shaxian District People's government is located at 89 Fuqian Middle Road, Fenggang street.

In Yixi of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Shacun county was set up, belonging to Jian'an county. In February 2021, Shaxian County was abolished and Shaxian District of Sanming City was established.

In 2017, the GDP of Shaxian County was 23.301 billion yuan, an increase of 7.7% over the previous year. Among them, the added value of the primary industry was 2.997 billion yuan, an increase of 4.5%; the added value of the secondary industry was 12.615 billion yuan, an increase of 7.2%; the added value of the tertiary industry was 7.689 billion yuan, an increase of 9.8%. Historical evolution

In the Xia and Shang Dynasties, it belonged to Yangzhou.

In the Zhou Dynasty, it was the land of seven Fujian provinces.

During the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period, it was under the jurisdiction of the state of Chu.

In the early Western Han Dynasty, it was the territory of Minyue. The fourth year of shenjue (58bc) belonged to Yexian County, Kuaiji Prefecture.

At the beginning of Jian'an in the Eastern Han Dynasty, it belonged to Nanping County.

The third year of Wu Yong'an in the Three Kingdoms (260 years) was Nanping County in Jian'an County of Wu state.

In the fourth year of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (379), Nanping County was changed into Yanping county. At the same time, Shashu was set up in the Shayuan area of Nanxiang, Yanping county. In Yixi, Shacun county was set up, belonging to Jian'an county. Song Dynasty and Qi Dynasty were established, and their subordination remained unchanged. The Sui Dynasty was abolished.

Tang Wude four years (621), restoration, renamed Shaxian, under Jianzhou. Later, it was incorporated into Jian'an county. Yonghui six years (665), restoration. In 777, it was changed to Tingzhou.

In the first year of Qianyou (948) of the Han Dynasty, it was changed to Jianzhou.

In 979, Fujian Jianzhou was renamed nanjianzhou, and Shaxian County was subordinate to nanjianzhou.

In 1278 (the 15th year of the Yuan Dynasty) and 1302 (the 6th year of Dade), nanjianzhou was changed to nanjianlu and Yanping Lu respectively; in 1360 (the end of the reign of the emperor), Chen Youding occupied Yanping Lu and Shaxian was under Chen Youding's jurisdiction.

In the first year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1368), Chen Youding was replaced by Yanping Road.

The Qing Dynasty followed the Ming Dynasty.

During the yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, Shaxian County remained under the same jurisdiction.

At the beginning of the Republic of China, the system of government and Prefecture was abolished. In 1914, the system of province, state and county was implemented, and Shaxian County belonged to Jian'an Road. In 1928, the system of state and Prefecture was abolished, and Shaxian County was directly under Fujian Province.

On December 14, 1933, the people's Government of the Soviet Republic of China established in the "Fujian incident" put Shaxian County under the jurisdiction of Yanjian province. Before the establishment of Yanjian provincial government, the government affairs were concurrently managed by the Fujian Provincial Government in Fuzhou.

In January 1934, the Soviet Republic of China failed. At the end of February, the red army withdrew. After the withdrawal of the Red Army, Shaxian was still under the rule of the Kuomintang. At the end of the 23rd year of the Republic of China (1934), there were 10 administrative supervision districts in Fujian Province, and Shaxian County was the third administrative supervision district; at the end of the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935), there were 7 administrative supervision districts in Fujian Province, and Shaxian County was the second administrative supervision district.

On June 16, 1949, the Chinese people's Liberation Army liberated Shaxian County and established the people's democratic government of Shaxian County, which is subordinate to the second office of the administrative inspector general of Fujian Province. In February 1950, it belonged to Nanping Office of Fujian Province. On July 1, 1970, it was transferred to Sanming District Administrative Office of Fujian Province. In 1983, Sanming District administrative office was abolished and Sanming City was established. Shaxian County was under the jurisdiction of Sanming City.

In February 2021, with the approval of the State Council and the reply of Fujian Provincial People's government, Shaxian County was abolished and Shaxian District of Sanming City was established, with the former administrative region of Shaxian County as the administrative region of Shaxian district.

In 1995, Shaxian County governed Fenggang town, Qingzhou Town, Xiamao Town, Gaosha Town, Gaoqiao Town, Qiujiang Township, Langkou Township, Xixia Township, Nanyang Township, Zhenghu Township, Daluo Township, Huyuan Township, Lishu Township, Fukou Township and Nanxia township.

In 2000, Daluo township was abolished and Daluo town was set up; Jikou township was abolished and its administrative region was merged into Fenggang town; Guxian village of Langkou town was under the jurisdiction of Fenggang town. After the adjustment, Shaxian County has jurisdiction over 8 towns and 6 townships: Fenggang town, Qingzhou Town, Xiamao Town, Langkou Town, Gaosha Town, Gaoqiao Town, Fukou Town, Daluo Town, Qiujiang Town, Nanxia Town, Nanyang Town, Zhenghu Town, Huyuan town and Lishu town.

In September 2002, Fujian Provincial People's Government (minzhengwen No. 264) approved that Lishu Township in Shaxian County should be abolished and merged into Xiamao town and Gaoqiao Town; Lishu, Zhongbao, yuebang and Pohou villages should be merged into Xiamao town; Xinqiao, Chike and quanshuixia villages should be merged into Gaoqiao Town.

At the end of 2002, Shaxian County had jurisdiction over 8 towns and 5 townships: Fenggang town, Qingzhou Town, Xiamao Town, Langkou Town, Gaosha Town, Gaoqiao Town, Fukou Town, Daluo Town, Qiujiang Town, Nanxia Town, Nanyang Town, Zhenghu town and Huyuan town.

On August 25, 2003, Fujian Provincial People's Government approved the merger of Qiujiang Township and Langkou town in Fenggang town of Shaxian County into two sub district offices: (1) Fenggang town, Qiujiang Township and Langkou town were abolished and Fenggang sub district office and Qiujiang sub district office were established. (2) Fenggang sub district office has jurisdiction over 7 neighborhood committees in Chengxi, Fuxi, Chunhui, Dongmen, Chengbei, Lianhua and Shiqiao of Fenggang town, 12 village committees in Dazhou, Ximen, Xishan, Beimen, Dongshan, miaomen, Xixia, cuntou, genkeng, Jue (Shihai), Jikou and Guxian, and 8 village committees in Xixiao, Sangu, Jiyan, Longdong, Jinghou, Shuimei, Longkeng and Lingyuan of Qiujiang township village committee. Fenggang Street office is located in Southwest Road of the city (former Fenggang town government resident). (3) Qiujiang sub district office has jurisdiction over Chengnan neighborhood committee and Shuinan village committee of Fenggang town, Jinquan, Duntou, Yangfang, Changhong and Guannan village committee of Qiujiang Township, and 13 village committees of Maoping, maiyuan, Caoyuan, zhentou, chafengxia, Tiankeng, Tiankou, Xiaodun, Shanfeng, Anping, Houdi, Langkou and Zhuyuan of Langkou town. The geology of Shaxian County is characterized by the development of magmatic rocks, incomplete outcrop of strata and wide distribution of metamorphic rocks. The exposed area of magmatic rock is 1134 square kilometers, accounting for 62.48% of the total area of 1815.09 square kilometers; the area of metamorphic rock is 368 square kilometers, accounting for 20.27% of the total area of the county; the area of sedimentary rock is 311 square kilometers, accounting for 17.13% of the total area of the county. The strata are widely exposed in Sinian Lower Paleozoic and Upper Jurassic Upper Cretaceous. The intrusive rocks are mainly Yanshanian granite. Fold and fault structures are active for many times, forming two NE trending faulted syncline basins, Qingzhou Chengguan and Gaoqiao Luoxi. The faults are mainly NE trending. There are many kinds of dikes, strong mineralization and rich mineral resources.

Shaxian County is a Provincial Ecological County and a key forest district in the south of China. The forest coverage rate is as high as 75.6% and the volume of standing trees exceeds 13 million cubic meters.

Shaxian County is rich in non-metallic minerals and some rare metal minerals. According to the preliminary statistics, 24 kinds of minerals have been found, including anthracite, peat, iron, manganese, copper, lead, zinc, tungsten, molybdenum, niobium and tantalum, rare earth, uranium, pyrite, limestone, kaolin, porcelain clay, barite, clay, crystal, silica, perlite, turpentine, tuff, building stone, etc. Among them, limestone, clay, kaolin, anthracite proved reserves. The shuinanxia clay deposit is a medium-sized one, and the others are small-sized ones.

In 2016, the GDP of Shaxian County exceeded 20 billion yuan for the first time. In 2017, it won the first place in the evaluation of "five to five sun" project competition in Sanming City, with a GDP of 23.301 billion yuan, an increase of 7.7%.

Shaxian district has a National Development Zone Jinsha Park and a provincial Development Zone Jingu park. The total planning area of the park is about 100 square kilometers. Six industrial chains, including machinery and equipment, forest products processing, biological medicine and food, energy conservation and environmental protection, environmental protection battery and silicon chemical industry, have been formed. Haixi branch of China Academy of Mechanical Sciences and Haixi environmental protection industrial park of China energy conservation and environmental protection group were successively introduced to build an important platform for economic development.
